1st Race: 233. The Mekedatu Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 5 years old and over (12 Runners)

BLACK BLOSSOM (R. Vaideeshwaran) ran detached from the field. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and was reported to have sustained a bleeding cut injury on left hind bulb of heel.

It was reported after the race that TURF FAME (D. Gnaneshwar) pulled up lame on left fore due to sprained tendon. Trainer S. Inayathulla (deputizing for Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan) was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Mudassar Nazar, the rider of INDEPENDENCE DAY to the Stewards for contravention of Calendar Notification under the heading, "Use of Whips", in that, as the rider of INDEPENDENCE DAY, he excessively used the whip (third infringement during Bangalore Winter Meeting 2012-13). The Stewards held an enquiry after the last Race and examined Jockey Mudassar Nazar. After deliberations, they decided to suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey Mudassar Nazar from 19-3-2013 to 23-3-2013 (both days inclusive), for the excessive use of the whip on his mount, INDEPENDENCE DAY (third infringement) in the above Race [permitted to ride work].

2nd Race: 234. The Icebreaker Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (8 Runners)

As Jockey C. Henrique was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to substitute Jockey R. Vaibhav to ride ANOTHER VOICE in place of Jockey C. Henrique the declared rider.

HOT STUFF (Saddam Hussain) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

Jockey Saddam Hussain, the rider of HOT STUFF, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not persevering with his mount during the race.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g FANTASTIC STRIKE.

3rd Race: 235. The Ardent Knight Trophy - (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Indian Horses 3 years old only (Terms) (13 Runners)

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji to substitute Jockey A. Ashok Kumar to ride WHIMSICAL, in place of Jockey C. Henrique, the declared rider.

Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of AGOSTINI, was fined Rs.1,000/- for coming in and causing interference to BERING SEA (David Allan) on his inside passing the 200 Metres.

Jockey R. Vaibhav, the rider of ASSIDUOUS, reported that he could not get a clear run between 400 Metres and 200 Metres due to a closely packed field.

ASSIDUOUS (R. Vaibhav) sustained a cut injury on left fore coronet.

SUPREME REGIME (D.K. Ashish) sustained cut injury on left hind fetlock.

4th Race: 236. The Karwar Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners)

As Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj to substitute Jockey R. Vaideeshwaran to ride BALANCE OF NATURE in place of Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh the declared rider.

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar to withdraw VOLT on veterinary grounds as it was lame on left fore due to inflammed hoof. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

BALANCE OF NATURE (R. Vaideeshwaran) suddenly shied away from the rails thereby taking out JEYEM'S PRIDE (Mudassar Nazar) on the outside which in turn caused interference to DEEP BLUE SEA (Saddam Hussain) on the far side approaching the 1000 Metres.

Jockey Samad, the rider of MAGIC WAVE, was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the winning post.

DEEP BLUE SEA (Saddam Hussain) sustained a cut injury on right flank.

THUNDER BLITZ (N. Rajesh) sustained a cut injury on right hind coronet and pastern.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g DEEP BLUE SEA.

5th Race: 237. The Kanteerva Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 80 and above (8 Runners)

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to substitute Jockey R. Vaibhav to ride SMOOTH GLIDER in place of Jockey C. Henrique the declared rider.

Jockey Mudassar Nazar, the rider of CAPE FERRAT, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to CECIL (P. Trevor) on his inside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

An enquiry is being held into the riding of Jockey B.L. Paswan on his mount SUNSTONE in the above race.

6th Race: 238. The Tungabhadra Plate - Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over (11 Runners)

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to substitute Jockey Ryan Marshall to ride GROUND MARSHAL in place of Jockey C. Henrique the declared rider.

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. G. Nityanand to substitute Jockey N. Rajesh to ride BLUE STAR in place of Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh the declared rider.

Jockey P. Mani, the rider of BRIGADE'S PRIDE, was reprimanded for travelling wide rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.

MIDTOWN DELIGHT (Shobhan Babu) was impounded for veterinary examination. After the last race, the Club's Veterinary Officer reported at 6.10p.m. that the horse had burst its blood vessels i.e. EIPH (Endoscopy). Trainer Mr. M.P. Mahaesh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g GROUND MARSHAL.

7th Race: 239. The Manasa Sarovara Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (11 Runners)

THE SITUATION (M. Rajesh Kumar) bolted on the way to the starting gates and ran round the course with the rider. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's orders.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from dk b g THE SITUATION.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f SWEET SECRET.

8th Race: 240. The Tungabhadra Plate - Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over (11 Runners)

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad to substitute Jockey R. Vaibhav to ride SENOR SPEEDY in place of Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh the declared rider.

PURPLE GLOW (M. Ravi) (drawn 7) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced JERALEINE (N. Ganesh) (drawn 8) on its outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

151. The Jamuna Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 5 years old and over

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey S. John to the Stewards for Unsatisfactory Riding (Rule No.161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount BRIGADE'S PARADISE in the above race. The Stewards held enquiry on 16th February 2013 and examined Trainer Mr. Warren Singh and Jockey S. John. After deliberations, the Stewards decided (a) note the explanations tendered by Trainer Mr. Warren Singh; and (b) give Jockey S. John the benefit of grave doubt at this instance and cautioned him to be more careful in future.

157. The Charmudi Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey P.S. Chouhan to the Stewards for Careless Riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount LAW OF THE LAND in that he went in and caused interference to ALL CLEAR (A.R. Pradeep) which in turn went in and inconvenienced DIAMOND FLAME (P.A. Cullane) along the rails passing the 100 Metres. The Stewards held enquiry on 27th February 2013 and examined Jockey P.S. Chouhan. After deliberations, the Stewards decided to suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey P.S. Chouhan from 9-3-2013 to 15-3-2013 (both days inclusive) for Careless Riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount LAW OF THE LAND (permitted to ride work) in the above race.

204. The Mallya Plate-Div.I-(About) 1200 Metres, for horses rated 40 to 65.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey M. Rajesh Kumar to the Stewards for Unsatisfactory Riding (Rule No.161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount ABBAS DREAMS in the above race. The Stewards held enquiry on 25th February 2013 and examined Trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao and Jockey M. Rajesh Kumar. After deliberations, the Stewards decided to (a) note the explanation tendered by Trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao; and (b) suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey M. Rajesh Kumar from 10-3-2013 to 23-3-2013 (both days inclusive). for unsatisfactory riding Rule No.161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount ABBAS DREAMS (permitted to ride work) in the above race.

207. The Dharmasthala Plate -(About) 1200 Metres, for horses rated 20 to 45.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao to the Stewards for Contravention of Rule No.114(b)(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing in that he contravened the Stewards instructions as regards shoeing in respect of his charge TOWERS OF HANOI (3rd infringement) in the above race. The Stewards held enquiry on 25th February 2013 and examined Trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao. After deliberations, the Stewards decided that should Trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao be granted a Trainer's licence for the season 2013-14, the same shall remain suspended from 18-5-2013 to 26-5-2013 (both days inclusive) for Contravention of Rule No.114(b)(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing in respect of his charge TOWERS OF HANOI (3rd infringement) as regards error in shoeing in the above race.

208. The Siddaganga Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Afsar Khan to the Stewards for not permitting his mount LIVING LEGEND and thus contravening Rule No.159(a) & (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing in the above race. The Stewards held enquiry on 25th February 2013 and examined Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar and Jockey Afsar Khan. After deliberations, the Stewards decided to (a) note the explanations tendered by Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar; and (b) declare Jockey Afsar Khan as a disqualified person under BTC Rules of Racing from 15-3-2013 to 14-3-2014 (both days inclusive) for not permitting his mount LIVING LEGEND to run on merits thus contravening Rule No.159(a) & (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing in the above race.

Pradeep, the rider of IMPRESSIVEATTITUDE, for contravention of Calendar Notification under the heading, "Use of Whips", in that, as the rider of IMPRESSIVEATTITUDE, he excessively used the whip (third infringement) during Bangalore Winter Meeting 2012-13. The Stewards held an enquiry on 25th February 2013 and examined Jockey A.R. Pradeep. After deliberations, they decided to suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey A.R. Pradeep from 7-3--2013 to 9-3-2013 (both days inclusive) for the excessive use of whip on his mount, IMPRESSIVEATTITUDE (third infringement) in the above Race [permitted to ride work].

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey A.R. Pradeep to the Stewards for Careless Riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount IMPRESSIVEATTITUDE in that (a) he came in sharply and caused severe interference to BUZZWORD (Ryan Marshall) which in turn passed it on to SUN N MOON (M. Prabhakaran) on his inside approaching the 1000 Metres; and (b) he again shifted in and caused interference to MAGNETIZE (Muddazar Nasar) on his inside passing the 250 Metres. The Stewards held enquiry on 25th February 2013 and examined Jockey A.R. Pradeep. After deliberations, the Stewards decided to suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey A.R. Pradeep from 10-3-2013 to 23-3-2013 (both days inclusive) for Careless Riding (Rule No.161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount IMPRESSIVEATTITUDE (permitted to ride work) in the above race.
