1st Race : 103. The Summer Dust Plate - Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners).

ACE ANGEL STAR (Indrajeet Singh) behaved awkwardly and reared up as the gates opened whereby the rider got unbalanced and also lost his left stirrup; the horse lost very many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in two Mock Races on race days on the race track.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g AUSTIN.

2nd Race: 104. The A.P. Kothavala Memorial Cup-(About) 1200 Metres. Indian horses 2 years old only (Terms) (8 Runners).

Jockey Vivek, the rider of CELESTIAL STORM, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting out and taking out the horses on his outside viz. BIG TICKET (A. Sandesh), HIDDEN SOLDIER (G. Adarsh) and SCHIAVONE (L.P. Beuzelin) passing the 800 Metres.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f SCHIAVONE.

3rd Race: 105. The Kemmangundi Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25 (12 Runners)

Jockey Ahsan Qureshi, the rider of WOODBERG, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing YOURESCINTILATING (A.R. Pradeep) on his inside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

Jockey M. Prabhakaran, the rider of QUARTER CASK, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to MISTER GREY (Ajeet Kumar) on his outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

ROYAL ROMARIO (C. Harish) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. J. Babu Rao was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of LUCKY THIRTEEN, was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing ALL CLEAR (Mudassar Nazar) on his outside approaching the 350 Metres.

MISTER GREY (Ajeet Kumar) sustained gum injury and bleeding cut injury on right hock.

4th Race : 106. The Summer Dust Plate - Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (9 Runners).

PROM QUEEN (C. Harish) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

Jockey M. Prabhakaran, the rider of DANCE WITH ME, reported that he lost his whip passing the 300 Metres.

5th Race: 107. The Horanadu Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (10 Runners).

Jockey Ajeet Kumar, the rider of GIFT OF LOVE, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 400 Metres.

Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of JEYEM'S PRIDE, reported that his mount was inclined to run out between 900 Metres till rounding the final bend. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of ARTHUR, reported that he could not get a clear run between 300 Metres and 200 Metres due to a closely packed field.

Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of ARTHUR, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to THEJAGUAR (San. Kumar Paswan) on his outside passing the 300 Metres.

It was reported after the race that AALEYAH (Shobhan Babu) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. G. Nityanand was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

6th Race: 108. The Haveri Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).

Jockey N. Tauseef Ahmed, the rider of MAGIC WAVE, was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing COCKTAIL CIRCUIT (L.P. Beauzelin) on his outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

Jockey M. Krishna, the rider of MOUNTAIN TRAIN, was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming in and causing interference to COCKTAIL CIRCUIT (L.P. Beuzelin) on his inside rounding the final bend.

Jockey A. Vishwanath, the rider of GAME DANCER, was reprimanded for travelling wide rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.

Jockey Indrajeet Singh, the rider of LADS ABILITY, was reprimanded for travelling wide rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.

Jockey B. Nayak, the rider of MEGHALAYA, was reprimanded for changing course towards the inside in the final stages of the race.

Jockey M. Krishna, the rider of MOUNTAIN TRAIN, was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the winning post.

Jockey A. Vishwanath, the rider of GAME DANCER, was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the winning post.

Trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi and Jockey L.P. Beuzelin were questioned regarding the running and riding of COCKTAIL CIRCUIT in the above race. The trainer stated that (a) he had instructed the rider to ride close with the field and do his best in the straight and further the rider had ridden and won on his charge a week before; (b) after its last run soon after the race the rider had reported that his charge was slowing down in the final stages of the race; (c) therefore he chose to run it in a 1200 Metres race today; (d) his charge got interfered during the race; and (e) under the circumstances he was satisfied with the handling of his charge by the rider. The rider while corroborating the statement of the trainer stated that he had lot of interference during the race but for which he would have finished much closer. Their explanations were noted.

7th Race : 109. The Jog Cup - (About) 1800 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above (9 Runners).

Trainer Mr. Darius R Byramji was fined Rs.1,000/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge MADAME BOVARY. Subsequently 'all black' emergency colours were permitted to be used.

Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of COOL APPROACH, reported that soon after the start due to a closely bunched field his mount accidentally struck the front runner POTOMAC (A. Vishwanath) and stumbled whereby the bridle came off and he was dislodged from his mount. The horse finished the course riderless.


Jockey A. Sandesh, the rider of APPLEJACK, reported that he could not get a clear run approaching the 500 Metres due to a closely packed field.

Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of SUPREME REGIME, reported that his mount was hanging out after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

POTOMAC (A. Vishwanath) sustained cut injury on left hind cannon.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g ARROGANT APPROACH.

8th Race: 110. The Horanadu Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (11 Runners).

ALPINE SHINE (M. Prabhakaran) was slowly away and lost a few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.

Jockey M. Noornabi, the rider of FIRE STORM, was reprimanded for travelling wide between 700 Metres and 600 Metres for no apparent reason.

Jockey Saddam Hussain, the rider of SARATOGA SPRING, reported that he could not get a clear run between 350 Metres and 250 Metres due to a closely packed field.

Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of SWEET ANGEL, reported that he lost his whip passing the 250 Metres.

An enquiry is being held concerning running and riding of FIORITTA trained by Mr. Tharun Thimmaiah and ridden by Jockey S. Selvaraj in the above race.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b f FIORITTA.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f BLUES LEGEND.

9th Race: 114. The Haveri Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over (9 Runners).

Jockey Shobhan Babu, the rider of GUTS AND GLORY reported that he could not get a clear run approaching the 800 Metres due to a closely packed field.

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of STRENGTHANDWONDER reported that his mount was inclined to run out between the 900 and 500 Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

An enquiry is being held into the running and riding of ACCURACY trained by Mr. S. Narredu and ridden by Jockey F.K. Shabuddin in the above race.

An enquiry is being held into the running and riding of SWEET N SMART trained by Mr. S. Ganapathy and ridden by Jockey A.R. Pradeep in the above race.

42. The Bellary Plate Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Handicap for horses rated 20 to 45

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala to the Stewards for negligence in the discharge of his duties as a trainer (Rule No. 114(b)(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in respect of his charge ABSOLUTE RED. The Stewards held an enquiry on 28-12-2013 and examined trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala and his Private Veterinarian Dr. Narasimha Murthy. After deliberations, the Stewards decided as follows:

(a) fine Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala a sum of Rs.10,000/- for his negligence in the discharge of his duties as a trainer (Rule No. 114(b)(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in respect of his charge ABSOLUTE RED;

(b) he shall not accept with it again to run in races until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stewards in two Mock Races on race days on the race track;

(c) After getting qualified as above should his charge ABSOLUTE RED behave in a similar manner in its next run, thereafter not to accept the tender of future entries of this horse to run under BTC Rules of Racing; and

(d) That repetition of similar negligence on his part shall be dealt with more severely.
