Rail position                   : Railing fixed at average width of 4.5 Metres

                                         from 1600 Metres to the winning post  from

                                         its original position.

 

1st Race:    128. The Altenburg Plate – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 6 years old and over (Whips not allowed) (11 Runners).

 

UNION JACK (A. Imran Khan) was examined at the starting gates by the Chief Veterinary Officer and was found to be trotting short on right fore.  Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s orders. Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

SWEET ANGEL (B. Harish) was slowly away.

 

Near the 950 Metres, BETTER THAN EVER (A. Ramu) steadied from MIDTOWN DELIGHT (A.R. Pradeep).

 

Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan and Jockey David Allan were asked if they could explain the disappointing performance of IMPERIAL VERSE. Mr. Padmanabhan said the mare had won two weak races previously. He added she had been working fair and was surprised she was favourite.  Jockey Allan said he had ridden the mare last winter when he found her lazy. Today she was the same and he scrubbed her along from the start but was unable to sit mid field as instructed.  He added that she gave nothing at any stage of the race. A Surprise Sample was taken and the horse was impounded for veterinary examination.  On examination, the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported after the 4th race at 3.30 p.m. that it was found to have burst its blood vessels (endoscopy grade IV with epiglottic entrapment).  Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

MIDTOWN DELIGHT (A.R. Pradeep) sustained cut injury on right hind tendon.

 

GIFT OF LOVE (D. Gnaneshwar) sustained cut injury on right knee.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m FORTUNATE ONE.

 

2nd Race:    129. The Ullal Beach Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 5 years old and over  (12 Runners).

 

PRIVATE PARTY (A. Ramu) took a fly jump.

 

ATTITUDE XTREME (Shobhan Babu) and SILHOUETTE (Imran Chisty) were slowly away losing a few lengths,.

3rd Race:    130. The Chatrapathi Cup – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above  (9 Runners).

 

ATHLETIC STAR (Rajesh Kumar M) was slowly away.

 

Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of HENDRIX accidentally dropped whip passing the 200 Metres.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ETERNAL DESIRE.

 

4th Race:     131. The Flashing Star Plate – Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners).

 

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Neil Darashah to withdraw RUSSIAN LINK (A. Imran khan) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right fore due to a fall while coming from the stable to the saddling enclosure.  He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

CENTRAL PARK (Irvan Singh) began awkwardly unbalancing him.

 

Jockey M. Rajesh Kumar,  the rider of SECRET PRAYER, placed Second by the judge objected against Jockey A.R. Pradeep, the rider of SIMPLY CLEVER  placed First  for “in the last 250 Metres the winner came on to me and bored me repeatedly and also bumped me which unbalanced me and my horse which cost me a certain race”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and examined the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations they decided to overrule the objection.

 

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b c SECRET PRAYER.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g SIMPLY CLEVER.

 

5th Race:    132. The Shivanasamudra Plate – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over  (12 Runners).

 

ACE ANGELFIRE (Arshad Alam) and DEEP BLUE STORM (Ajeet Kumar) were slowly away.

 

SEVEN OF HEARTS (Irvan Singh) jumped in the air at the start.

 

WOODBERG (G.Y. Rajesh Babu) ran detached from the field.  Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b h DEEP BLUE STORM.

 

6th Race:    133. The Karnataka Racehorse Owners Association Million  – (About) 1200 Metres. 3 year old horses (Foaled in 2012) based in Karnataka (7 Runners).

 

MARINE ONE (Colm O’Donoghue) reared up as the gates opened and lost few lengths at the start.  In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.

 

Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of CHINA ONE, reported that his mount was lugging ‘in’ in the straight.    

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ETERNAL FLAME.  

 

7th Race:    134. The Flashing Star Plate Div.I – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45  (12 Runners).

 

 

CANDICE (Imran Chisty) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

 

CANDICE (Imran Chisty) reared up as the gates opened, lost many lengths at the start and ran detached thereafter. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. G Nityanand was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in One mock race on a race day on the race track.

 

MYSTICAL SHADOW (B. Harish) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

 

BROADWAY RANGER (G Adarsh) ran detached from the field after passing the 600 Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. But no abnormality was reported. However Trainer Mr. M.P. Mahaesh was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.  

 

ROMEO (P.S. Chouhan) sustained gum injury.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ROMEO.

 

8th Race:    135. The Kokkarebellur Plate – (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65  (8 Runners).

 

COMMISSARIAT (Ryan Marshall) jumped in the air at the start.

 

BIG TICKET (P.S. Chouhan) was inclined to hang ‘in’ in the straight.

 

Near the 250 Metres SECRET DIMENSION (Rajesh Kumar A) shifted in when struck with the whip causing MYSTIC MUSIC (Ashok Kumar M) to check from COMMISSARIAT (Ryan Marshall). 

 

It was reported after the race that PEARL REWARD (Arshad Alam) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch c BARACCHUS.

 

9th Race:    136. The Shivanasamudra Plate – Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over  (11 Runners).

 

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad to withdraw FIORITTA (Vivek) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right fore pastern due to inflammed ligament.  He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

SCENIC BLAST (M. Mark) planted and lost many lengths at the start and detached from the field. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. S. Britto was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.  

 

AIR TIGHT (M. Prabhakaran) was slowly away.

 

It was reported after the race that ALBERTINO (Chetan Kaley S) burst its blood vessels.   Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Jockey D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of IGAH IGAH IGAH, was fined Rs.2,000/- for exulting before passing the winning post.  Jockey Gnaneshwar was  also reprimanded for not riding his mount out to the winning post.
