RACING INCIDENTS

(17– 24)

Going:  Soft

               

Penetrometer Reading: 5.2 Cms.

 

(False Rails : Average Width of 5 Metres from 1600 Metres to 1000 Metres and 8 Metres from 1000 Metres to the winning post from its original position)

 

1st Race:           17. The Chintamani Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25  (11 Runners).

 

HOSTESS (A Velu) reared up and flipped over with the rider on the way to the starting gates thereby injuring the rider. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starters orders.

 

SAYYONEE (Vishwanath) began awkwardly bumping REAL SHOW (R. Anand) on its outside.

 

SOVIET MELODY (T.S Jodha) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. On questioning the jockey stated that his mount was traveling well till about the 300 Metres and gave nothing despite his hard riding.

 

It was observed that REFORMER (Vivek) laid in under pressure in the final 300 Metres of the race.

 

It was observed that DANCING LAURIE (A Ramu) laid ‘in’ after entering the straight.

 

SAYYONEE (A. Vishwanath) sustained cut injury on right fore cannon.

 

Routine sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch m SOMERSET ROSE.

 

2nd  Race:          18. The Hemavathi Cup – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65  (9 Runners).

 

Shortly after the start DREAM STAR (Arshad Alam) and ETERNAL DESIRE (Kiran Rai P) brushed.

 

RUSTIC SUNRISE (T S Jodha) bumped DREAM STAR (Arshad Alam) passing the 150 Metres.

 

It was reported after the race that RUSTIC SUNRISE (T S Jodha) pulled up lame on left hind.

 

An enquiry was opened into the running and handling of RUSTIC SUNRISE (T.S. Jodha). After questioning Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna and rider T.S. Jodha, the enquiry was adjourned.

 

CULLINAN (C Harish) sustained a bleeding cut injury on right nostril.

 

Routine sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ETERNAL DESIRE.

 

3rd Race:           19. The Bidar Plate – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).

 

Jockey Syed Asgar replaced the indisposed Jockey A Velu on EVEREST.

 

SUPER MISSILE (Vinod Shinde) after jumping out did not raise a gallop, dropped the rider and ran riderless. Trainer Mr. S Narredu was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the stipendiary stewards in One mock race on the race day on the race track.

 

Jockey S Asgar the rider of EVEREST was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing NAGARJUNA (R. Anand) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

 

Jockey A Ramu, the rider of ZULU FANTASY was fined Rs. 2,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to the horses on his outside viz. CLASSY GESTURES (Irvan Singh) and WHY SHOULD I (M Prabhakaran) passing the 1000 Metres.

 

An enquiry will be held into the incident following the race between Trainer S. Dominic and Jockey M. Prabhakaran.

 

An enquiry will be held into the running and riding of FAUSTINA.

 

FAUSTINA (S K Paswan) sustained a cut injury on left fore cannon.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g WHY SHOULD I.

 

4th Race:           20. The Belgaum Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over  (9 Runners).

 

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Darius R Byramji to withdraw FRANKNESS (P Trevor) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right fore due to inflammed hoof. He was informed that he must produce a fitness certificate from the Club’s Veterinary officer before accepting with it again.

 

Between the 1000 Metres and 600 Metres PRAZSKY (Vivek) and YELLOWZONE (T.S. Jodha) bumped on several occasions.

 

PRAZSKY (Vivek) was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported.

 

It was reported after the race that DEEP BLUE SEA (N Rajesh) pulled up lame on left fore due to a sprained fetlock. Trainer Mr. Rajesh Narredu was informed that he must produce a fitness certificate from the Club’s Veterinary officer before accepting with it again.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SMILE STONE.

 

5th Race:           21. The Hemavathi Cup – Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65  (9 Runners).

 

When the start was effected Jockey G Y Rajesh Babu (COUNTRYS PRIDE) had removed his left foot from the stirrup iron, which he regained after about 100 Metres.

 

It was reported after the race that COOL BABY (N Ramesh Kumar) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must produce a fitness certificate from the Club’s Veterinary officer before accepting with it again.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f NURAY.

 

6th Race:           22. The Daria Daulat Cup – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above (11 Runners).

 

Prior to this race there was a heavy down pour.

 

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. J Babu Rao to withdraw PORT BLAIR (P Kiran Rai) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right fore due to inflammed hoof. He was informed that he must produce a fitness certificate from the Club’s Veterinary officer before accepting with it again.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch c COLDSTREAM.

Following a deputation from the riders, the Stewards abandoned the remaining races due to poor visibility for the Jockeys travelling behind the leaders.
