1st Race:             42. The Honnavar Plate Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25  (7 Runners).

 

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. V Narayana Gowda to withdraw ATTRACTIVE BAY on veterinary grounds as it was found to be suffering from colic.  He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

LIQUID ASSET (Kiran Rai P) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Babu Rao J was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

 

Jockey A. Ramu, the rider of ZULU FANTASY, reported that his saddle shifted forward soon after jumping out of the starting gates as such he shifted out and inconvenienced FORTALEZA (Dashrat Singh) on his outside passing the 1200 Metres.  After due examination of the equipment, Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was fined Rs.3,000/- for faulty saddling.

 

Trainer Mr. Aravind G and Jockey Dashrat Singh were questioned if they could explain the disappointing performance of FORTALEZA. Mr. Aravind said that the filly had been fractious in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the Club’s Veterinarian and passed fit to race.  He added even though she had been working well in good company, he was surprised she was a short priced favourite.  Jockey Dashrat Singh said FORTALEZA did not travel well at any stage of the race and approaching the 600 Metres he had struck her with the whip to keep in touch with the leader, but she gave nothing in the straight. Their explanations were noted.  The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported.

 

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b f FORTALEZA.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b/br g OCEAN PARK.

 

2nd  Race:            43. The Kanteerava Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Horses 2 years old only (12 Runners).

 

At the start SUPER SUCCESS (Vinod Shinde) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped STRIKING VIEW (A.R. Pradeep).

 

Jockey Neil Farley, the rider of GARUDA, reported that he lost his left stirrup soon after jumping out of the starting gates which he regained within a few strides and also added that his mount was running green throughout the race.

 

It was observed that MAGICAL LIGHT (Arshad Alam) had to be steadied of the heels of EDGE OF ETERNITY (Shiva Kumar S) passing the 500 Metres.

 

It was observed that ANGEL DUST (P. Trevor) was trying to run out between the 800 Metres till about the 200 Metres.  Trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

 

SEA DOVE (R Vaibhav) raced wide making the 900 Metres turn.

 

STRIKING VIEW (A R Pradeep) raced wide from 1000 Metres until the 500 Metres.

 

It was reported after the race that the right fore shoe of MAGICAL LIGHT (Arshad Alam) had apparently come off during the race.

 

It was observed that MARINE ONE (Keanen G Steyn) drifted out under pressure in the final stages of the race.

 

SURNATUREL (A. Sandesh) sustained a cut injury on right fore fetlock.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g MARINE ONE.

 

3rd Race:             44. The Honnavar Plate Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25  (8 Runners).

 

SOUTHERN FANTASY (Dashrat Singh) jumped in awkwardly brushing VEELENA (Irvan Singh) soon after the start.

 

Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of VIENTO PLATA, reported that his mount was hanging ‘in’ in the straight.  The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported. Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again. 

 

Near the 1200 Metres HELLO BOSS (T S Jodha) was steadied from the heels of HOSTESS (Keanen G Steyn).

 

Jockey T.S. Jodha, the rider of HELLO BOSS, reported that he could not get a clear run rounding the final bend.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g TURF TACTICS.

 

4th Race:             45. The Swarnamukhi Plate - Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners)

 

Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was fined Rs.1,000/- for not producing the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge WINTER THUNDER (Ramesh Kumar N).  Subsequently ‘all black’ emergency colours were permitted to be used.

 

After jumping out AWESOME STAR (Adarsh G) swerved towards the left and dislodged its rider.  In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. S. Britto was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

 

Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of PROSPERITY, reported that his mount was not galloping fluently throughout the race.  The horse was impounded for veterinary examination.  On examination, the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that it was lame on right hind.  Trainer Mr. Nikhil M. Punna was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.  

 

Trainer Mr. S S Attaollahi was questioned as to why he did not bring COMMISSARIAT (R Vaibhav) to the horse weighing scale. He stated that the gelding was extremely fractious on the way to the horse weighing scale and as such the syce had great difficulty in handling the gelding. His explanations were noted and he was severely cautioned for the future.

 

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Ramesh Kumar N, the rider of WINTER THUNDER with concern as to his riding style in the race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race at 6:00 p.m and examined Jockey Ramesh Kumar N. After deliberations Jockey Ramesh Kumar N was instructed not to accept any further rides until he has received tuition from Mr. Sinclair Marshall and has to be passed by the Stipendiary Stewards in a mock race.

 

An enquiry is being held into the running and riding of YOURE GORGEOUS, trained by Mr. J Babu Rao and ridden by B Harish in the above race.

 

It was reported after the last race at 5:20 p.m that YOURE GORGEOUS (B Harish) burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy – Grade IV). Trainer Mr. J Babu Rao was informed that he must produce a fitness certificate from the Club’s veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

It was reported after the last race at 7:50 p.m that WINTER THUDER (Ramesh Kumar N) pulled up lame during the race and the X-ray revealed fracture of left radial carpal and intermediate carpal bone.  Hence it was euthanized.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g COMMISSARIAT.

   

5th Race:             46. The Davanagere Plate Div.I - (About) 1400-- Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over  (12 Runners).

 

AMAZON BAY (Arshad Alam) planted and did not take part in the race. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. Nityanand was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. Jockey Arshad Alam was fined Rs.2,000/- for the improper use of whip in the manner he attempted to encourage AMAZON BAY to jump.

 

Near the 200 Metres, ACEEMPRESSJESSIE (P S Chouhan) and VIKTOR (A R Pradeep) were tightened for galloping room when THUNDER (B Harish) shifted out slightly and AQUA ARIA (A Ramu) shifted in slightly.

 

Trainer Mr. Arvind G and Jockey A R Pradeep were questioned over the performance of VIKTOR. Mr Arvind stated he had instructed Jockey Pradeep to sit mid bunch and pull out in the straight and do his best. He did not want the colt to lead as it drifted out last start in Mysore. Jockey Pradeep confirmed the instructions saying that is why he restrained VIKTOR in the early part of the race. When questioned why he did not take a run at the 400 Metres inside of THUNDER (B Harish) he felt those horse in front were stopping and when he tried to obtain a run on that horses outside near 250 Metres he was tightened losing ground. He added once clear near 150 Metres VIKTOR commenced to drift out. Jockey Pradeep was censured for allowing VIKTOR to shift out and using the whip in his right hand instead of changing the whip to his left and straightening his mount. Trainer Arvind was told that he should make his rider aware of the traits of his runners.

6th Race:             47. The Sohna Stud Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above   (9 Runners).

 

TOPSPOT (P Trevor) was pulled up by its rider approaching the 200 Metres. On examination by the Club’s veterinary officer it was found to have burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was informed that he must produce a fitness certificate from the Club’s veterinary officer before accepting with it again.

 

An enquiry is being held into the running and riding of REAL STEEL, trained by Mr. Darius R Byramji and ridden by Jockey Y S Srinath in the above race.

 

An enquiry is being held into the improved performance of MAGNITUDE STAR,  as compared to its previous run in Race No. 37 of the Bangalore Winter Meeting 2014-15 i.e The Hoysala Trophy- (About) 1600 Metres, horses rated 60 and above when ridden by Jockey Irvan Singh it ran unplaced.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g MAGNITUDE STAR.

 

7th Race:             48. The Bangalore 1000 Guineas (Grade II) (About) 1600 Metres. 3 year old Indian Fillies (Foaled in 2011) (Terms) (11 Runners).

 

RED RED ROSE (Neil Farley) was slow to muster early speed.

 

Jockey A.Sandesh, the rider of PURE ALLURE, held up for a run passing the 300 Metres.

 

Jockey Keanen G Steyn, the rider of FATAL ATTRACTION, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to SMOKING BELL (Yash Narredu)  approaching the 250 Metres.

8th Race:             49. The Swarnamukhi Plate - Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners)

 

HAPTICSTAR (Chetan Kalay S) after jumping out swerved towards left, dropped the rider and ran riderless. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. Babu Rao J was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

 

ANDINA (Vinod Shinde) planted and lost many lengths at the start.  In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

 

SECRET PRAYER (Kiran Rai P) threw its head in the air at the start losing ground.

 

Near the 900 Metres, CANDICE (Rajesh N) rolled in tightening MANDARIN (Dashrat Singh) on to BLACK ARECA (A. Ramu) causing both horses to ease. 

 

Jockey Rajesh N, the rider of CANDICE, was reprimanded and told to keep his mount straighter in future.

 

VIVA DIVA (Harish B) raced wide throughout covering extra ground.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g AZZURRO.

  

9th Race:             50. The Davanagere Plate Div.II - (About) 1400 - Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over  (11 Runners).

 

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Prithviraj B to withdraw ORIENTAL IMAGE (P.S. Chouhan) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right hind due to injury on right hind cannon. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Near the 250 Metres, ABBA (Yash Narredu) was taken wide to obtain a clear run after being blocked from the 400 Metres.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g FORCE ENSIGN.
