RACING INCIDENTS

Penetrometer Reading  : 4.0 Cms.

Rail position                   : Railing fixed at average width of 4 Metres

from 1600 Metres to 1000 Metres, 5.5 Metres from 1000 Metres to 500 Metres and 4 Metres from 500 Metres to the winning post.

                                      

1st Race:    214. The Mekedatu Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25  (12 Runners).

 

SHIVALIK EYES (P Trevor) was slowly away.

 

APOLLO RISING (Ashok Kumar A) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

 

SUPER SILVER (Chethana K) was pulled up by its rider approaching the 800 Metres. On immediate examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was found to have sustained fracture of both fore pastern joint. Under the circumstances it was euthanized.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g ROYAL DEFENCE.   

 

2nd Race:    215. The Icebreaker Plate – (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over  (9 Runners).

 

ORIENTAL KING (Nitin Singh) was slowly away.

 

PRIVATE PARTY (Arshad Alam) jumped out bumping MAGNETIZE (P.S. Chouhan).

 

After passing the 900 Metres PRIVATE PARTY (Arshad Alam) blundered.

 

Near the 250 Metres ATTRACTIVE BAY (Chetan Kalay S) eased from ZAGATO
(Ashok Kumar A) and shifted out bumping MIDTOWN DELIGHT (T.S. Jodha).

 

Passing the 100 Metres ATTRACTIVE BAY (Chetan Kalay S) again eased when the tiring ABBA (Trevor) rolled outwards.

 

Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of MAGNETIZE, reported that MAGNETIZE did not travel well throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported.

 

Jockey T.S. Jodha, the rider of MIDTOWN DELIGHT, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

 

It was reported after the last race at 6.20 p.m that ORIENTAL KING (Nitin Singh) burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy – Grade III). Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.  

 

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from dk b m MAGNETIZE.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b g ZAGATO.

 

3rd Race:    216. The Ardent Knight Trophy – (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only  (12 Runners).

 

ONE’S OWN (Imran Chisty) jumped out awkwardly.

 

Jockey G. Sai Vamshi, the rider of TOPSONSIE, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to ELEGANT STAR (Vivek) which in turn passed it on to ONE’S OWN (Imran Chisty) approaching the 100 Metres.

 

Jockey G. Sai Vamshi, the rider of TOPSONSIE, was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (2nd infringement).

 

ONE’S OWN (Imran Chisty) sustained cut injury on left hock.

 

AMAZING STRIKER (T S Jodha) sustained cut injury on right hind fetlock.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c BALIAN.  

 

4th Race:    217. The Tungabhadra Plate – Div.I – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over  (12 Runners).

 

COOL APPROACH (S Mallikarjun) was slowly away.

 

Shortly after the start NOBLE REWARD (Irvan Singh) eased from STELLAR AMBITION (D. Gnaneshwar).

 

At 900 Metres COOLMORE (V.R. Jagadeesh) had to ease of the heels of CINCH (R. Vaibhav).

 

Jockey D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of STELLAR AMBITION, was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing CINCH (R. Vaibhav) on his outside passing the 100 Metres.

 

Jockey Babu Singh, the rider of NEXT MOVE, was reprimanded for travelling wide rounding the bend for no apparent reason.

 

At the 400 Metres CINCH (R. Vaibhav) shifted in bumping COOLMORE (V.R. Jagadeesh).

 

YELLOWZONE (Arshad Alam) was impounded for veterinary examination and on examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was found to have a linear whip mark on left shoulder.

 

An enquiry is being held into the improper use of whip by Jockey Arshad Alam on his mount YELLOWZONE in the above race.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g NOBLE REWARD.  

 

5th Race:    218. The Manasa Sarovara Cup – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65  (12 Runners).

 

Jockey M.A. Roushan, the rider of FOREST TERN, accidentally dropped whip passing the 400 Metres.

 

It was reported after the race that the left fore shoe on REANNA (T.S. Jodha) had apparently come off during the race.

 

AIR DANCER (Imran Chisty) sustained a bleeding cut injury on right fore cannon.

Near the 350 Metres REANNA (T S Jodha) was dislodged when the filly clipped the heels of SAGRADA (S Shiva Kumar).

 

Reporting Jockey S. Shiva Kumar, the rider of SAGRADA, to the Stewards for Careless Riding.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g HIDDEN SOLDIER.

 

6th Race:     219. The Karwar  Plate – Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres.

For horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).

 

Jockey S Mallikarjun replaced the indisposed Jockey M Kumar on I SMILE.

 

STARHUNT (G. Sai Vamshi) planted, lost many lengths at the start and ran detached thereafter. Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

 

I SMILE (S Mallikarjun) reared up as the gates opened and lost about 2 lenghts.

 

Shortly after the start RUBI REY (Tauseef Ahmed) dipped.

 

It was reported after the race that PONTIAC (T.S. Jodha) burst its blood vessels.  Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Passing the 100 Metres BEYOND INTENSITY (Chethana K) when racing fiercely shifted in tightening JULIUS (R. Vaibhav) on to MARKUS SITTIKUS (Chetan Kalay S) both horses losing ground.

 

KIMORA (P. Trevor) had some difficulty in obtaining a clear passage from 300 Metres to 100 Metres.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f DREAM STAR.                                                                   

7th Race:    220. The Tungabhadra Plate – Div.II – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over  (12 Runners).

 

Near the 300 Metres WINGS OF FORTUNE (Ashok Kumar A) was held up for a short distance.

 

Near the 180 Metres Jockey A. Ashok Kumar was questioned why he did not take the run between CAPITALIZE (P.S. Chouhan) and HILLTON (G. Sai Vamshi). Jockey Ashok Kumar stated that as the rider of CAPITALIZE was using the whip in his left hand he was of the opinion that CAPITALIZE would shift in.  He added that he kept riding his horse whilst taking it outwards. Ashok Kumar was admonished for not persisting to take the run.

 

It was reported after the last race at 6.30 p.m that COOL BABY (H G Rathod) burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy – Grade III). Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

8th Race:     221. The Karwar  Plate – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres.

For horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).

 

Jockey Imran Chisty was fined Rs.3,000/- for accepting two rides in the same race. Subsequently permission was granted to him to ride SHIDEH in the above race. 

 

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. B. Puttanna to declare Jockey T.S. Jodha to ride RAPID BOLT in the above race.

 

ZULU FANTASY (P.S. Chouhan) was examined at the starting gates by the Club’s Veterinary Officer and was found to be lame on left hind. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s order. Trainer Mr. S. Britto was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

COINAGE (V.R. Jagadeesh) was extremely fractious, reared up and got stuck in the gates for a considerable period of time. On immediate examination by the Club’s Veterinary officer it was found to have sustained bleeding cut injury on right fore cannon and on subsequent examination was found have a complete luxation of both fore pastern joint. Hence it was euthanized.

 

Near the 1000 Metres BATTLE EMPRESS (Harish B) checked when racing in a tight space. At the same time ARTHURIAN (A. Imran Khan) which was pulling hard had to check to avoid the heels of FLAME’S FURY (Chetan Kalay S).

 

It was observed that the saddle on FLAME’S FURY (Chetan Kalay S) shifted back passing the 800 Metres. On due examination of the equipment Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V. was fined Rs.3,000/- for faulty saddling.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f SHIDEH.

80. The Smt Satyavathi V. Char Memorial Cup (About) 1400 Metres, Horses rated 40 to 65, 4years old and over

 

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on 20th February 2015 considered the analytical report received from Laboratory of Federation Nationale Des Courses Francaise France (Laboratoire des courses Hippiques, France), pertaining to the analysis of the urine sample taken from b g ROYAL REIN trained by Mr. Amit Caddy which had shown the presence of PENTAZOCINE (prohibited substance) – the sample was taken after the said horse placed First in the above race.

 

The Stewards noted the following:

 

The trainer/owner were given the option of sending the split sample of the urine for confirmatory analysis. The trainer vide his letter dated 5th February 2015 wished to send the urine sample to Hong Kong Jockey Club, Hong Kong for confirmatory analysis. The Laboratory vide its report dated 13th February 2015, received by us on 18th February 2015 confirmed the presence of PENTAZOCINE in the split sample of the urine of the said horse.

Therefore, the Stewards decided to disqualify the horse b g ROYAL REIN from the above race and revise the order of placings as under:
