Trainer and jockey were interviewed on 28th December 2015 and replay of race was viewed a couple of times. It was pointed out that jockey Chetan Kalay S had not ridden out his mount vigorously in the last 250 Metres of the race. When questioned Jockey Chetan said that at one stage when momentarily he had stopped riding when he had to change his whip hand from right to left where he fumbled a bit. However, he accepted that on this day he had 6 rides continuously and in the last race he was slightly tired and that may have been the reason for his lack of vigorousness. Trainer stated that the next day when he saw the race repeatedly he felt that the Jockey lacked in vigorousness though he had used the whip eight times.
The explanations of Jockey Chetan Kalay S was not satisfactory therefore he was fined a sum of Rs.10,000/- under Rule 161(iv) of the BTC Rules of Racing for not persevering with his mount BAZINGA in the last 250 Metres of the race and was cautioned for future.
