Penetrometer Reading : 3.6 cms
Rail position : Railing fixed at average width of 2.5 Metres from 1600
Metres to the winning post from its original position.
1st Race: 150. The Virajpet Plate – Div.II - (About) 1100 Metres. Maiden
Horses 3 years old only (11 Runners).
Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.3,000/- for the delay in presenting
his charge ZAFRINA (P.S. Chouhan) in the paddock for the above race.
KAPALUA (S. John) was slowly away and swerved towards the right. In view of its
behaviour trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was informed that he must not accept
with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the
Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race.
CLAIRE (Irvan Singh) (drawn 10) jumped outwards and bumped HARLEY QUINN (Chetan
Kalay S) (drawn 11) resulting in HARLEY QUINN (Chetan Kalay S) went wide at
start. Further HARLEY QUINN ran green in the race.
Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of FLOTUS, reported that his mount was running
green in the straight.
Jockey T.S. Jodha, the rider of CALICO KING, reported that his mount was hanging
out throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but
no abnormality was reported.
Jockey Chetan Kalay S, the rider of HARLEY QUINN, was severely cautioned for
dropping hands before passing the winning post.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dkb(mtg)c CALICO
KING.
2nd Race: 151. The Charmudi Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25,
6 years old and over (12 Runners).
SHOOT OUT (R. Praveen Shinde) was impounded for veterinary examination but no
abnormality was reported.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g RED ADMIRAL.
3rd Race: 152. The Virajpet Plate – Div.I - (About) 1100 Metres. Maiden Horses 3
years old only (11 Runners).
BRAVE MINSTREL (A.R. Pradeep) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. Aravind
Ganapathy deputizing for Mr. S. Ganapathy was informed to ensure better
performance of his charge in future.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ARVAK.
4th Race: 153. The Cordon Bleu Plate - Div.II – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses
rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).
Jockey Prashant P.Dhebe, the rider of FLYING BULLET, reported that he
could not get a clear run approaching the 300 Metres due to a closely packed
field.
Jockey Janardhan Paswan, the rider of CANDICE, reported that he lost his whip
approaching the 200 Metres.
HERO WORSHIP (S. John) was impounded for veterinary examination but no
abnormality was reported.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g EVEREST.
5th Race: 154. The Vibrant Plate - (About) 2000 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (8
Runners).
Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of STORMONT, was reprimanded for shifting out and
inconveniencing SHARPSHOOTER (Suraj Narredu) on his outside approaching the 400
Metres.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of SHARPSHOOTER, accidentally struck the hand of
the rider of SAPTAJIT (S. John) who lost his whip approaching the 200 Metres. As
this was accidental no action was taken beyond noting the incident.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g STORMONT.
6th Race: 155. The Hampi Plate - Div.I – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to
65, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).
It was observed that STROMBOLITE (Vivek) did not get a clear run soon after
jumping out of the starting gates due to the crowding of the field.
Jockey Surya P, the rider of ARBERTINO, was fined Rs.2,000/- for the improper
practice of hitting the horse with the hand after passing the winning post due
to which he unbalanced the horse and shifted out sharply which could have caused
an accident.
It was observed that TRAPEZOID (Irvan Singh) hung out from 800 Metres till about
400 Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no
abnormality was reported.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ALBERTINO.
7th Race: 156. The Sprinters Trial Stakes (Grade III)(About) 1200 Metres. 4
years old and over at the time of starting (9 Runners).
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of SMILE STONE, had to check his mount and shift
out thereby taking out EMPEROR CRUISE (Irvan Singh) which in turn passed it on
to the horses on his outside viz. IM DIFFERENT (Imran Chisty) and SHIVALIK STAR
(S. John) approaching the 1000 Metres. As this was considered accidental no
action was taken beyond noting the incident.
Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following 1st, 2nd and 3rd
placed horses viz:

b g PENTAGRAM III
It was reported after the race that NESTO (A. Imran Khan) pulled up lame on
right fore. Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar was informed that he must produce a
Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it
again.
8th Race: 157. The Smt. Saraswati Sajnani Memorial Trophy – (About) 1600 Metres.
Horses rated 40 to 65 (10 Runners).
As Jockey Vivek was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to
trainer Mr. V. Lokanath to substitute Jockey G. Sai Vamshi to ride BEAUTY IS
TRUTH in place of the declared rider.
Jockey Chetan Kalay S, the rider of HAPTICSTAR, was fined Rs.1,000/- for
shifting out and causing interference to NOBLE REWARD (Adarsh G) on his outside
approaching the 200 Metres.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b f FRIZBEE.
9th Race: 158. The Cordon Bleu Plate - Div.I – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated
20 to 45, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Nityanand G to withdraw BIG BEN (V.R.
Jagadeesh) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on left
fore due to sprained shoulder. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness
Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
CARDUCCI (A.R. Pradeep) reared up as the gates opened.
Jockey A. Ramu, the rider of BETTER THAN EVER, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting
in and causing interference to SAIRANI (Imran Cisty) on his inside approaching
the 1100 Metres.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SCORCHING VULCAN.
10th Race: 159. The Hampi Plate - Div.II – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40
to 65, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Imtiaz Khan to substitute Jockey Irvan
Singh to ride PRAZSKY in place of the declared rider.
PRAZSKY (Irvan Singh) was examined at the starting gates and found to be lame on
left fore due to sprained shoulder. Under the circumstances it was permitted to
be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s orders. He was
informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary
Officer before accepting with it again.
COOLMORE (Janardhan Paswan) jumped awkwardly outwards and ZULFIQUAR (Nazerul
Alam) jumped awkwardly inwards, both bumped each other and PERFECT KING (S.
Mallikarjun) was squeezed between them at the start.
WILD WILD ANGELS (Imran Chisty) was impounded for veterinary examination but no
abnormality was reported.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g HILLSBORO.

It was reported after the race that GOLDEN DIAMOND (Shrikant Kamble) burst
its blood vessels (endoscope-Grade IV-3.40 P.M). Trainer Mr. Nityanand G was
informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary
Officer before accepting with it again and not as erroneously published in the
racing incidents dated 24-1-2016.
