RACING INCIDENTS
(9– 16)
False Rails : Railing fixed at average width of 6 Metres from 1600 Metres to the winning post from its original position.
1st Race: 9. The Agumbe Plate – (About) 1200 Metres. For Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).
Jockey Antony Raj S, the rider of TREE LOUNGE, was cautioned for allowing his mount to drift out in the straight thereby inconveniencing WAITING FOR GLORY (Nitin Singh) on his outside in the final 100 Metres.
Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was questioned as regards the increase in weight in respect of his charge WAITING FOR GLORY as compared to its previous run in Race No.78 of the Bangalore Summer Meeting 2015. The trainer stated that his charge had a lot of physical problem as such he had laid her off for the entire Mysore Season, that may be the only reason for the increase in weight from the previous start. He also added that his charge needs to put on more weight for future.
It was reported after the race that ARYAN KNIGHT (Prashant P. Dhebe) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch m HOSTESS.
2nd Race : 10. The Trombay Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (9 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Britto to withdraw MEHERANI on veterinary grounds as it was found to be dull and off feed. He was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. V. Lokanath to withdraw MAGNETIZE on veterinary grounds as it was found to be suffering from right hock cellulities. He was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
MILLROSE (Antony Raj S) reared up and flipped over in the starting gates for a considerable period of time. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s order. Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Jockey Nazerul Alam, the rider of JEYEM’S SPIRIT, was reprimanded for shifting ‘in’ and inconveniencing the horses on his inside viz. WHITE SNOWDROPS (K. Raja Rao) and BEYOND INTENSITY (M. Noornabi) between the 1000 Metres and 800 Metres.
Jockey K. Raja Rao, the rider of WHITE SNOWDROPS, had to check the heels of JEYEM’S SPIRIT (Nazerul Alam) and shift ‘in’ , in the process bumped BEYOND INTENSITY (M. Noornabi) on his inside approaching the 900 Metres.
TROJAN (M. Prabhakaran) ran detached from the field. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
Jockey Sunil Samson, the rider of GOODWILL WARRIOR was fined Rs.5,000/- for riding an ill-judged race.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b c OUR LITTLE DRAGON.
3rd Race : 11. The Master Key Plate – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).
Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of DARTING, reported that he lost his right stirrup soon after jumping out of the starting gate which he regained within a few strides.
Jockey S. Mallikarjun, the rider of NATIVE RULER, was reprimanded for shifting ‘in’ and inconveniencing BRUNALDO (Anjar Alam) on his inside approaching the 100 Metres.
DARTING (V.R. Jagadeesh) ran detached from the field. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However, trainer Mr. Kishan Thomas was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g RAIN KISSED.
4th Race : 12. The Madras Race Club Trophy - 3 year old horses (foaled in 2012) (About) 1400 Metres - (11 Runners).
As Jockey A. Imran Khan, the declared rider of GOOD PROSPECT, was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj to substitute Jockey Nitin Singh in place of the declared rider.
CHINA ONE (D.K. Ashish) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced the horses on his inside viz. TRONADA (G. Sai Vamshi) and MAJESTIC STYLE (A. Sandesh).
It was reported after the race that HEISENBERG (T.S. Jodha) had sustained fracture of both sesamoids with rupture of suspensory ligament and superficial flexon tendon. Hence it was euthanized.
It was reported after the race that SEA LORD (P. Trevor) had apparently lost its left hind shoe during the race.
SEA LORD (P. Trevor) sustained cut injury on left hind outer bulb of heel.
Compulsory Sample was taken for analysis from ch g ALVAREZ.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b c SEA LORD.
5th Race : 13. The Malaprabha Plate – Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over (12 Runners.
SHEER ELATION (P. Trevor) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g FOREST TERN.
6th Race : 14. The Air Force Trophy - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (12 Runners).
Jockey G. Sai Vamshi, the rider of TEMUJIN, was fined Rs.5,000/- for coming in and causing interference to ARECA WONDER (Y.S. Srinath) which in turn shifted in and caused severe interference to the horses viz. MULTI APP (Irvan Singh), HAVELOCK PRINCE (P.S. Chouhan) and LET THERE BE LIGHT (P. Trevor) approaching the 1200 Metres.
Jockey R. Anand, the rider of HELIOS, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting ‘in’ and causing interference to CAPITALIZE (Adarsh G) which in turn passed it on to CHARMING GREY (Anjar Alam) passing the 800 Metres.
Jockey R. Anand, the rider of HELIOS, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the improper use of whip on his mount during the race.
FOURTH DIMENSION (Ryan Marshall) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
HAVELOCK PRINCE (P.S. Chouhan) sustained cut injury on right hock.
CAPITALIZE (Adarsh G) sustained cut injury on right hind coronet.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f MULTI APP.
7th Race : 15. The Malaprabha Plate – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).
As Jockey A. Sandesh was certified medically unfit to ride after his ride in the 5th race, permission was granted to trainer Mr. Arvind G to substitute Jockey Arshad Alam to ride PRINCE ACADEMY in place of the declared rider.
GOOD FRUIT (V.R. Jagadeesh) took a fly jump.
Jockey Nazerul Alam, the rider of ZULFIQAR, was reprimanded for shifting ‘in’ and inconveniencing FLAME’S FURY (R. Anand) on his inside before passing the red marker post.
Jockey Ryan Marshall, the rider of SAGRADA, reported that his mount was not galloping fluently. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. An enquiry is being held into the incident.
It was observed that WOODBERG (M. Noornabi) pulled up lame on left hind passing the 350 Metres and as such did not complete the course. Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

8th Race : 16. The Kunigal Stud Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above (12 Runners).
As Jockey A. Imran Khan was certified medically unfit to ride permission was granted to trainer Prasanna Kumar to substitute Jockey T.S. Jodha to ride NEW ALLIANCE in place of the declared rider.
AUTHORITARIAN (Suraj Narredu) walked out of the gates and did not raise a fluent gallop thereafter. Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race.
It was reported after the race that SUPER SUCCESS (P. Trevor) pulled up lame on right hind. Trainer Mr. S. Dominic was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
SUPER SUCCESS (P. Trevor) sustained bruises on plantar aspect of left hind fetlock.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f NEW ALLIANCE.
