1st Race: 80. The Kakanakote Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 4 years old and over (12 Runners)
It was reported after the race that WHOLELOTTALOVE (Irvan Singh) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Darius R Byramji was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Jockey S. John, the rider of TREE LOUNGE, was fined Rs.5,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to MYSTIC LAVENDERS (V.R. Jagadeesh) passing the 1300 Metres. As a result the saddle on MYSTIC LAVENDERS (V.R. Jagadeesh) shifted forward.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g TREE LOUNGE.
2nd Race : 81. The December Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Horses 2 years old only (11 Runners).
EMIDIO (V.R. Jagadeesh) reared up, flipped over and sat down for a considerable period of time in the gates. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders.
Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of SANG ROYAL, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing ADULATION (P. Trevor) on his inside rounding the final bend.
Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of CADILLAC SKY, was cautioned for shifting in at the start, even though there was no interference caused.
TOP STRIKER (G. Sai Vamshi) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c SPIRITED REGENT.
3rd Race : 82. The Kudremukh Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. For horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).
Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of PROUDPRINCE, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing TOP SMILES (C. Henrique) on his inside approaching the 1200 Metres.
Jockey S. John, the rider of LIVIN’ ON A PRAYER, was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing ADMIRAL MESSI (Y.S. Srinath) on his outside in the final 300 Metres.
Jockey Vivek, the rider of MAGNIFICENT MARY, was reprimanded for travelling wide rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ALEXANDRITE.
4th Race : 83. The Smt. Satyavathi V Char Memorial Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (11 Runners).
ARECA WONDER (Y.S. Srinath) was fractious in the gates, broke the front barrier and ran round the course riderless. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders.
TOPAZ (S. John) sustained gum injury.

5th Race : 84. The Ruia Stud Plate – Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above, 4 years old and over (Whips not allowed) (11 Runners).
NATIVE INDIAN (A.R. Pradeep) ran detached from the field. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However, trainer Mr. M.P. Mahaesh was informed to ensure better performance of his charges in future.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch c MERION.
6th Race : 85. The Royal Calcutta Turf Club Cup - (About) 1200 Metres. For 3 year old horses (Foaled in 2012) (7 Runners).
Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of DUBAI ONE, reported that his mount shied away from the rails to the outer portion of the grass track. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have burst its blood vessels (endoscopy grade IV – 6.05 p.m.). Trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
DUBAI ONE (P.S. Chouhan) sustained cut injury on right hind cannon.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g CASTLE KEY.
7th Race : 86. The Ruia Stud Plate – Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above, 4 years old and over (Whips not allowed) (11 Runners).
Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe, the rider of AMAZING REDD, was fined Rs.5,000/- for shifting in and causing severe interference to ROYAL REIN (Syed Imran) which had to shift out violently and the rider had to check and fall back inconveniencing the horses viz. REAL STEEL (Irvan Singh), SHARP WITTED (S. John) and SUPER FORCE (A. Imran Khan) approaching the 600 Metres.
Jockey P.S. Chouhan, the rider of CONNEMARA, placed 1st by the judge objected against Jockey C. Henrique, the rider of COOL BABY in that “since the race is declared a no whip race, the jockey of COOL BABY hit the horse with his hand twice if I had hit the horse I would have won the race”. The Stewards held enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned. After deliberation they decided to over rule the objection.
Jockey C. Henrique, the rider of COOL BABY, was fined Rs.1,000/- for hitting the horse with his hand in the final 150 Metres.
Routine Samples were taken for analysis from the winners viz. gr f CONNEMARA and ch m COOL BABY respectively.
8th Race : 87. The Vidurashwatha Plate – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).
FEET ON FIRE (Sunil Samson) was hanging out throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have sharp molars on both the sides. Hence trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan was fined Rs.3,000/- for his negligence.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of LOVELY LADY, reported that his mount was hanging in after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have burst its blood vessels (endoscopy grade III at 6.07 p.m.). Trainer Mr. Rajesh Narredu was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
