1st Race:    96. The Summer Dust Plate – Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45  (12 Runners).

 

WILDWILDWEST (Harish B.) shifted in and caused interference to HAPPY THOUGHTS (G. Sai Vamshi), as a result the rider was totally unbalanced dislodging the rider passing the 800 Metres. An enquiry is being held into the same.

 

It was reported after the race that HAPPY THOUGHTS (G. Sai Vamshi) had apparently splayed its right fore shoe during the race.

 

It was reported after the race that HAPPY THOUGHTS (G. Sai Vamshi) pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. S. Dominic was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was questioned as regards the relatively improved performance of his charge PRIORITY in the above race as compared to its previous run in race No.49 of the Bangalore Winter Meeting 2015-16 run on 28th November 2015. The trainer stated that his charge had received very bad interference at the start in its previous run and that is the only reason for its below par performance.  His explanations were noted. 

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b f PRIORITY.

 

2nd Race:    97. The A.P. Kothavala Memorial Cup – (About) 1200 Metres (Terms)  (10 Runners).

 

It was observed that SCENIC PARK (S. Sandesh) was running green throughout the race. 

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch f ALAINA.   

 

3rd Race:    98. The Kemmangundi Plate – (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25  (12 Runners).

 

SPIRITUAL ACT (R. Girish), AMAZING STRIKER (Vishwanath A) and VEELENA (G. Sai Vamshi)  were slowly away and lost few lengths at the start.  In view of their behaviour trainers of the above horses viz. M/s. Prasanna Kumar, Mahmood Khan and Pradeep Annaiah were informed that they must not accept with their horses again until their  behaivour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Gate Practice.

 

AMAZING STRIKER (Vishwanath A) was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was reported that it had pulled up lame on right fore.  Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

VEELENA (G. Sai Vamshi) ran detached from the field. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that it had pulled up lame on left fore.  Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

4th Race:    99. The Kempegowda Cup Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above  (10 Runners).

 

POWER OF TIME (A. Ramu) reared up as the gates opened.

 

SUN GLOW (Suraj Narredu) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced NATIVE INDIAN (Adarsh G) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

 

WIND OF SOUL (Manesh K) was slowly away and lost many lengths at the start.  In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Rajesh Narredu was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock race.

 

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of WILL STAR, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing GERMAN GUIDE (P.S. Chouhan) on his inside passing the 300 Metres.

 

Jockey Chetan Kalay S, the rider of HIDDEN SOLDIER, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch m SUN GLOW.

 

5th Race:    100. The  U.R. Siddheswarappa Memorial Plate – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).

 

DOC HOLLIDAY (A. Imran Khan) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race.

 

Jockey Antony Raj S, the rider of SHINNECOCK HILLS, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing ARTIC ATTRACTION (Shiva Kumar S) on his inside passing the 1000 Metres.

 

ALBERTINO (Syed Imran) sustained cut injury on right hock.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g CAPITALIZE.

 

6th Race:    101. The Raichur Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65  (10 Runners).

 

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of RICH REVIVAL, reported that his mount was hanging out after entering the straight and was not galloping fluently in the final 200 Metres.  The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

 

Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad and Jockey P. Trevor were questioned as regards its poor performance of FREE STYLE. The trainer stated that he had asked the Jockey to ride from 3rd/4th position and do his best in the straight but his charge had missed the start and did not gallop like its previous run.  He also added that he was totally surprised with his charge’s poor run.  The jockey corroborated the statement of the trainer and said his mount did not respond to his urging at any part of the race.  Their explanations were noted for future reference. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.   

 

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from dk b f FREESTYLE. 

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch c ALL IN.  

 

7th Race:    102. The Kempegowda Cup Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above  (9 Runners).

 

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Narredu to withdraw WIND WONDER, on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on left fore due to inflamed hoof. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

ETHOPHIAN (Chetan Kalay S) was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was reported that it pulled up lame on right fore and had burst its blood vessels (endoscopy grade III – 5.55 p.m.). Trainer Mr. V. Narayana Gowda was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.  

 

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from dk b g ETHOPHIAN.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b h CHUL BUL PANDY.

 

8th Race:    103. The Summer Dust Plate – Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45  (12 Runners).

 

Approaching the 1100 Metres IGNITION (Adarsh G) got keen and to avoid clipping the front runner DESERT GILT (Rayan Ahmed R)  he checked his mount, shifted out and clipped the heels of ONE MORE TOY (S. John) whereby his mount was totally unbalanced and he was dislodged from his mount.

 

It was reported after the race that HURRAH (P. Trevor) burst its blood vessels (endoscopy grade III – 5.45 p.m.). Trainer Mr. Darius R Byramji was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

9th Race:    104. The Horanadu Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4  years old and over  (12 Runners).

 

Jockey S. Mallikarjun replaced the indisposed rider G. Adarsh on BELLA PINKY.

 

ZEESHAN (Irvan Singh) planted and lost many lengths at the start. Trainer Mr Darius R Byramji was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race.

 

It was reported after the race that YOURE ASHWASHAKTHI (P.S. Chouhan) burst its blood vessels.  Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

An enquiry is being held into the running and riding of BAZINGA trained by Mr. V. Narayana Gowda and ridden by Jockey Chetan Kalay S.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m VIGOROUS.

ELEVENTH DAY, SATURDAY 19TH DECEMBER 2015

 

91. The Chickmagalur NirvanappaShetty Nanjamma TMP Cup-(About) 1800 Metres, for horses rated 40 to 65.

 

This is to inform that as per the Charge Sheet No.956 dated 19th December 2015, the Stipendiary Stewards interviewed Jockey M. Prabhakaran on 21st December 2015 and after questioning and showing him the replay of the race a couple of time Jockey M. Prabhakaran accepted his guilt of Careless Riding.

 

Jockey M. Prabhakaran’s licence has been suspended by the Stipendiary Stewards with effect from 1st January 2016 to 2nd January 2016 (both days inclusive) under Rule 161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing for Careless Riding as his mount HECTOR at about 200 Metres was inclined to lug in and instead of correcting his mount Jockey M. Prabhakaran used the whip with his left hand due to which his mount sharply shifted in and caused severe interference to MARINE ONE (A. Imran Khan) who in turn caused interference to SILVER LEGEND (S. John) who was directly racing behind him (permitted to ride work).

 

He was informed of his right of appeal to the Board of Appeal.

ADDITIONAL REPORT

 

BANGALORE WINTER MEETING 2015-16

ELEVENTH DAY, SATURDAY,  19TH  DECEMBER, 2015

 

Enquiry into the running and riding of FLYING BULLET in Race No.89 i.e. The Gulbarga Plate – (About) 1100 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25 run on 19th December 2015 trained by Mr. B. Prithviraj and ridden by jockey D. Patel

Trainer and jockey of FLYING BULLET were questioned immediately after the race on 19th December 2015 and thereafter an enquiry was opened on 23rd December 2015. Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj and Jockey D. Patel were again questioned and the replay of the race was viewed a couple of times and not being satisfied with the explanations tendered by them they were issued charge sheet and were recalled on 26th December 2015.

 

When questioned both said they have nothing more to depose then whatever they said earlier in the enquiry.

 

(a)        Jockey D. Patel was charged under Rule 161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing for unsatisfactory and erratic riding of his mount FLYING BULLET. He was informed that he had not ridden out his mount after entering the straight. Further his riding was also observed to be erratic and instead of going for clear run he chose to go behind the front runner thereby placing his mount at a disadvantage.

 

Jockey D. Patel‘s licence has been suspended in Rule 161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing for unsatisfactory and erratic riding with effect from 8-1-2016  to 16-1-2016 (both days inclusive) (permitted to ride work).

 

(b)        Trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj was charged under Rule 114(b)(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing for unsatisfactory explanations tendered regarding the running of his charge FLYING BULLET and was informed that Jockey D. Patel would not have ridden in such a manner without his tacit approval and he was found negligent in performance of his duties as a licensed trainer under Rule 114(b)(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing for unsatisfactory running of his charge and negligence in performing his duties as a licensed trainer for which he has been fined a sum of Rs.20,000/- and severely cautioned for future.

 

They were informed their right of appeal.
