RACING INCIDENTS

(62–70)

Penetrometer Reading  : 3.5 Cms.

 

Railing Position            : Railing fixed at average width of 4 Metres from

                                    1600 Metres to the Winning Post from its original

                                    position.

 

1st Race:    62. The Nelamangala Plate –  (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25 (9 Runners).

SPLENDID BRAVE (T.S. Jodha) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced EMANCIPATION (S. Mallikarjun) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was fined Rs.5,000/- for his negligence in discharge of his duties as a trainer in that he failed to arrive in time to saddle his charge FLASH FIRE (A. Imran Khan) in the above race and complete the paddock formalities thereby contravening Rule 114(b)(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing..

Jockey T.S. Jodha, the rider of SPLENDID BRAVE, reported that his mount was hanging in throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported.  However, trainer Mr. S. Britto was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

NEW MALLET (Afsar Khan) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

EMANCIPATION (S. Mallikarjun) sustained cut injury on right hock.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g DESERT GILT.  

2nd Race:    63. The Novice Plate – (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Horses  2 years old only (10 Runners)

FABULOUS TOUCH (A.R. Pradeep) was slowly away.

KAMAAL (Vivek) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced ASTER ROSE (Suraj Narredu) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

Soon after the start KAPALUA (D.K. Ashish) swerved towards the right and dislodged its rider.  Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards on the starting gate practice.  

 

It was observed that ASTER ROSE (Suraj Narredu) laid in, in the final 300 Metres of the race.

Jockey Vivek, the rider of KAMAAL, reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.

MISTRESS OF SPICE (Imran Chisty) sustained a cut injury on right hock.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c KRIEGER.

3rd Race:    64. The Star Luminary Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners)

SHIVALIK BOY (T.S. Jodha) was slowly away losing a few lengths.

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah to withdraw PROUDPRINCE (Harish) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be suffering from colic. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

ZAALIM (Nitin Singh) was fractious on the way to the starting gates, dropped the rider and ran round the course riderless.  Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s orders.

At the start INDIAN BRAHMOS (V.R. Jagadeesh), FANTASY QUEEN (M. Noornabi) and JERSEY WONDER (Nazerul Alam) bumped.

Near the 900 SWAKSHA (Chetan Kalay S) shifted out bumping FANTASY QUEEN (M. Noornabi).

Jockey Suraj Narredu and trainer Mr. Darius Byramji were questioned over the performance of NEW PRINCE. The Jockey stated that his instructions were to sit 4th or 5th which he did and was travelling behind the winner. When SPIRIT AND TRUTH (M. Prabhakaran) sprinted he could not go with him at the 500 Metres and the horse failed to respond. The trainer corroborated the statement of the Jockey and added that he would try his charge with the pair of blinkers in its next start. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that it had burst its blood vessels (endoscopy Grade IV at 3.55 p.m.). Trainer Mr. Darius Byramji was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

SWAKSHA (Chetan Kalay S) was found to be bleeding from mouth due to broken lower jaw tooth.  

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SPIRIT AND TRUTH.  

4th Race:    65. The Galloping Acres Stud Plate – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above, 4 years old and over (9 Runners).

SUPREME DOMINATOR (Rayan Ahmed R) was slowly away and ran detached from the field.  Trainer Mr. Rajesh Narredu was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

Near the 200 Metres SUPER QUEEN (Suraj Narredu) shifted in under pressure forcing the rider to stop riding and straighten his mount.

It was reported after the race that FOREST TERN (A. Sandesh) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Aravind G was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f MADAME SULTANA.

 

 

5th Race:    66. The Kanteerava Cup – (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (10 Runners)

Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar was fined Rs.5,000/- for the discrepancy in shoeing in respect of his charge COLOSSAL MOMENTS.

TURF TACTICS (Y.S. Srinath) and NOBLE REWARD (Adarsh G) were slowly away.

Jockey D.K. Ashish, the rider of HUNHAR, was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing MULTI APP (Imran Chisty) on his outside rounding the final bend.

MAJESTIC STYLE (Shrikant Kamble) raced wide for major part of the race.

Jockey S. Zervan was questioned over the performance of VALIANT SPIRIT. He was instructed to sit 4th or 5th.  He attempted to restrain the gelding but no cover was forthcoming other than HUNHAR (D.K. Ashish). VALIANT SPIRIT which was racing keenly moved outside HUNHAR but the gelding commenced to hang out at the 1200 Metres forcing VALIANT SPIRIT (S. Zervan) wider on the track until the 700 Metres when Zervan let his mount go to the front.  Zervan added that VALIANT SPIRIT was tired in the final 150 Metres of the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that it had burst its blood vessels (endoscopy Grade III – 5.00 p.m.). Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan (deputizing for trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan) was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

HUNHAR (D.K. Ashish) sustained cut injury on left hind bulb.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b g VALIANT SPIRIT.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g NOBLE REWARD.

6th Race:     67. The Bangalore Turf Club Trophy – (Grade III)  (About) 1200 Metres. 3 years old and over (Terms) (12 Runners).

EMPEROR CRUISE (Afsar Khan) was slowly away.

At the start NIMFEA (Irvan Singh) eased from SUN DIVINE (Suraj Narredu).

At the 800 Metres MANDARIN (Shrikant Kamble) steadied from INVINCIBLE PRINCE (S. Zervan).

At the 1000 Metres ASSIDUOUS (Imran Chisty) steadied from INVINCIBLE PRINCE (S. Zervan).

Near the 900 Metres, REFERENT (A. Sandesh) clipped the heels of INVINSIBLE PRINCE (S. Zervan) and dipped.

Jockey Vivek, the rider of VIVID IMPRESSION, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting out and inconveniencing SCHIAVONE (D.K. Ashish) on his outside approaching the 150 Metres.

Compulsory Samples were taken for analysis from the following I, II and III placed horses viz:

7th Race:     68. The Bangalore 1000 Guineas – (Grade II)  (About) 1600 Metres. 3 year old Indian Fillies (Foaled in 2012) (Terms) (11 Runners).

An enquiry is being held into the incident at the start involving the following horses viz. FLAMBOYANCE (Y.S. Srinath), NOSTALGIC MEMORIES (S. Zervan), SHOW BIZ (Colm O’Donoghue) and POWERSCOURT (Imran Chisty).

Jockey S. John, the rider of LET THERE BE LIGHT, was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing NEW ALLIANCE (A. Imran Khan) on his outside  in the final 25 Metres of the race.

 

Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of INTELLIGENCE, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting in after passing 1400 Metres causing interference to ANGEL DUST (D.K. Ashish) on his inside whereby ANGEL DUST (D.K. Ashish) struck the heels of INTELLIGENCE (Suraj Narredu) thereby momentarily unbalancing the rider.

8th  Race:    69. The Galloping Acres Stud Plate – Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above, 4 years old and over (9 Runners).

FRENEMEE (Rayan Ahmed R) began awkwardly.

 

It was reported after the race that WEST SIDE STORY (Y.S. Srinath) burst its blood vessels (endoscopy Grade III at 5.03 p.m.). Trainer Mr. Darius R Byramji was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b g KINGSTON TOWN.

9th Race:    70. The Davangere Plate – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 4 years old and over (12 Runners)

HAPTIC STAR (Chetan Kalay S) was slowly away and lost few lengths.

At the start ZULU FANTASY (G. Sai Vamshi) was squeezed between THEJAGUAR (A. Imran Khan) and STIMULATOR (R. Praveen Shinde).

From the wide barrier FLING BULLET (Prashant P. Dhebe) covered extra ground until 700 Metres.

Near the 1000 Metres EVEREST (Antony Raj S) ducked in sharply brushing the running rails.

 

 

GOLDEN NIMBUS (Sunil Samson) after jumping out did not raise a fluent gallop and ran detached from the field thereafter. Trainer Mr. Sriram Komandur was questioned regarding the disappointing performance of GOLDEN NIMBUS. He said that the colt had been working well and the horse had a fracture in right fore leg some 18 months ago. This was the reason the GOLDEN NIMBUS was having its first start in this race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, however no abnormality was detected. Trainer Mr. Sriram Komandur was informed to ensure that GOLDEN NIMBUS will be more competitive before accepting with the colt again.  

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of MAJOR ATTRACTION, reported that he did not get a clear run in the final 50 Metres.

It was reported after the race that ANMOL HIRA (A. Ramu) pulled up lame on left fore.  Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.  

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b c GOLDEN NIMBUS.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g HAPTICSTAR.

Permission was granted to trainers M/s. Arjun Mangalorkar, Mahmood Khan, F. Sirajuddin  and Aravind Ganapathy to deputise on behalf of trainers M/s. G. Nityanand, S. Padmanabhan, Amit Caddy and S. Ganapathy respectively who were unable to attend the races.
