1st Race: 170. The Gaganachukki Plate – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of LOVELY DANCER, reported that his mount was lugging in under pressure in the final 200 Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

It was reported after the race that ALWAYS REMEMBERING (Rayan Ahmed R) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b h HAPPY HOURS.

2nd Race: 171. The Chamundi Hill Plate - Div.II – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (11 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to withdraw KING SMILE (Shrikant Kamble) on veterinary grounds as it bolted while coming to the saddling enclosure, completed the course, the pulse rate was high and was profusely sweating.

Jockey Nitin Singh, the rider of ZAALIM, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not exercising sufficient control over his mount thereby allowing it to shift in and bumped EVERYBREAKINGWAVE (S. John) on his inside approaching the 1100 Metres.

It was reported after the race that INTERNAL AFFAIR (S. Guruprasad) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. G. Nityanand was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Routine sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g MONTENEGRO.

3rd Race: 172. The Murudeshwara Plate – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).

QUIET FORCE (Arshad Alam) was slowly away, lost many lengths and refused to raise a fluent gallop for the first 200 Metres and ran detached thereafter. Trainer Mr. Sriram Komandur was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race.

It was reported after the race that WINDAMARE (A. Ramu) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. F. Sirajuddin was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

BERNICIA (Vinod Shinde) sustained bleeding cut injury on left gaskin.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m TIME AND SPACE.

4th Race: 173. The Kabini Trophy – (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (9 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi to withdraw BUSCADERO (Irvan Singh) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame due to sprained back. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was questioned regarding the improved performance of his charge IRON WILL as compared to its previous run in Race No.143 of the Bangalore Winter Meeting 2015-16 i.e.The Mysore Race Club Trophy - (About) 1400 Metres, 3 years old only run on 23rd January, 2016 when ridden by Jockey David Allan it ran unplaced. The trainer stated that (a) he had increased the work on his charge from its previous run as he had found that his charge was on the heavier side when it ran on the 23rd of January; (b) his charge had lost about 11 Kgs. from its previous run; ( c) his charge was working well during the morning trials; and (d) he also added that 3 year olds have a tendency to improve but he was also surprised in the manner his charge won. His explanations were noted.

STAR CRACKER (Imran Chisty) sustained gum injury on upper jaw.

5th Race: 174. The Bharachukki Plate Div.I – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (11 Runners).

TAQDEER KA BADSHAH (Shrikant Kamble) was extremely fractious and was stuck under the starting gates for a considerable period of time. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders.

Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was questioned regarding the relatively poor performance of SUN MOON AND STARS. Trainer stated that the filly had a growth in her neck for which she was operated and after one year she ran and won in her previous start and considering that run he had fancied her in this race. However, she did not perform well and felt possibly the growth in her neck may have developed. He said in the month of April he will get her operated again or to get laser treatment to control the growth in the neck and will run thereafter. His explanation was noted. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination, the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy Grade IV – at 4.55 p.m.). Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b f SUN MOON AND STARS.
 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g COUNTRYS CROWN.

6th Race: 175. The Nethravathi Trophy – (About) 1600 Metres. For horses rated 60 and above (11 Runners).

Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was fined Rs.5,000/- for declaring Jockey A. Imran Khan without his prior consent to ride LUCIA in the above race. Subsequently he was granted permission to substitute Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh to ride his charge in the above race.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SUMMER DAWN.

7th Race: 176. The Gaganachukki Plate – Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (11 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar to withdraw REAL SUPREME (A. Imran Khan) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on left fore. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey Adarsh G., the rider of BELLA PINKY, was reprimanded for travelling wide rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of GO GREEN, was reprimanded for travelling wide rounding the final bend for no apparent reason.

Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of ZULU FANTASY, reported that he could not get a clear run in the final 100 Metres due to a tightly packed field.

It was reported after the race that YOURE ASHWASHAKTHI (Arshad Alam) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

8th Race: 177. The Chamundi Hill Plate - Div.I – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).

Jockey S. John was fined Rs.2,000/- for having accepted two rides in the above race viz. TOP SMILES and BACK OF BEYOND. Subsequently permission was granted to trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar to declare Jockey S. John to ride BACK OF BEYOND and permission was granted to trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to declare Jockey Suraj Narredu to ride TOP SMILES.

FAUSTINA (Janardhan Paswan) planted and did not take any practical part in the race. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Sandhu G was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race.

ROYAL DEFENCE (Imran Chisty) had to be steadied off the heels of GOLDEN FRIEND (Nitin Singh) to avoid striking the front runner.

KIRAATHAKA (Shrikant Kamble) accidentally brushed the false rails approaching the 1200 Metres.

Jockey Nitin Singh, the rider of GOLDEN FRIEND, reported that his mount was hanging in after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

9th Race: 178. The Bharachukki Plate Div.II – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (12 Runners).

EVEREST (Nazerul Alam) (drawn 6) jumped out towards inside and interfered with ONLY PRINCESS (Imran Chisty). Thereafter Jockey Nazerul Alam, the rider of EVEREST, in trying to settle his mount had no control and kept bumping couple of times MARIKO (Rayan Ahmed) till 600 Metres. Jockey Nazerul Alam has been fined Rs.3,000/- and has been asked to attend apprentice Jockey school to improve his ability.

MYSTICAL SHADOW (A. Ashok Kumar) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
