1st Race: 189. The Topmost Cup Div.II – (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Horses 3
years old only (terms) (11 Runners).
Jockey Vivek, the rider of ROARING THUNDER, had to steady his mount to
avoid striking the heels of front runner TIMES TIME (Suraj Narredu) approaching
the 1000 Metres.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of TIMES TIME, reported that his mount was
hanging in throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary
examination, but no abnormality was reported.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f PERFECT HARMONY.
2nd Race: 190. The Tiptur Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25 (12
Runners).
REPSOL (S. Mallikarjun) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start.
Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must not accept with it again
until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in
a jump out on starting gate practice day.
Jockey B. Nayak, the rider of WHAT A NICE MAN, was reprimanded for shifting out
and inconveniencing KRABI (P. Trevor) on his outside approaching the 300 Metres.
Jockey B. Harish, the rider of WILDWILDWEST, was reprimanded for travelling wide
from 800 Metres till about 300 Metres for no apparent reason.
Jockey Tauseef Ahmed, the rider of NOBLE PRINCESS, was reprimanded for
travelling wide while rounding the final bend till about 200 Metres for no
apparent reason.
KRABI (P. Trevor) was impounded for veterinary examination but no
abnormality was reported.

3rd Race: 191. The Melkote Plate – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses
rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over (10 Runners).
Jockey M. Kumar, the rider of PERFECT KING, was fined Rs.3,000/- for travelling
wide throughout the race for no apparent reason.
Trainer Mr. G. Nityanand was questioned regarding the improved performance of
his charge RICH REVIVAL as compared to its previous run in Race No.135 of the
Bangalore Winter Meeting 2015-16 run on 16th January 2016 wherein the horse was
not on board. The trainer informed that this horse had recently come under his
charge and its first run was in Race No.101 under his charge where it finished
3rd. Thereafter he ran the horse in Race No.135 and it ran poorly. He noticed
that before the Race No. 135 he had given sufficient work and possibly that may
not have suited the horse since prior to Race No.101 horse was given light work
and it ran a decent race. Therefore on this occasion he kept the gelding fresh
by giving less work. Further he also changed the pattern of running since in the
previous run the horse was in front bunch and ran poor. Therefore he instructed
the Jockey to ride off the pace in the early part of the race which suited the
horse and came out and won with longer odds. He informed in future he will give
similar instruction for this horse. The explanations of the trainer was noted.
However he was cautioned for not informing the change of pattern of running of
his charge prior to the race.
VIGOROUS (Suraj Narredu) was impounded for veterinary examination but no
abnormality was reported.

4th Race: 192. The Topmost Cup Div.I – (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (terms) (11 Runners).
As Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh was certified medically unfit to ride permission
was granted to trainer Mr. F. Sirajuddin to substitute Jockey G. Sai Vamshi to
ride HIT AGAIN in place of the declared rider.
Jockey G. Sai Vamshi, the rider of HIT AGAIN, reported that his mount was
hanging out after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary
examination but no abnormality was reported.
Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of CADILLAC SKY, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting
in and causing interference to EXPORT QUALITY (Irvan Singh) on his inside
approaching the 700 Metres.
Jockey S. Guruprasad, the rider of PERFECTGOLDENERA, was reprimanded for riding
an indifferent race.
Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of CADILLAC SKY, was questioned regarding his
riding in the final 300 Metres. The Jockey stated that he did not get a clear
run in the final 300 Metres even though a gap opened for a few strides his filly
did not take the gap. His explanations were noted. The horse was impounded for
veterinary examination. On examination the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported
that it was found to have pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. Neil
Darashah was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s
Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
MISTRESS OF SPICE (Imran Chisty) sustained bleeding punctured injury on right
hock.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c ROYAL SCEPTRE.
5th Race: 193. The Gumbaz Plate – (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 20 to
45 (10 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla to substitute Jockey Vivek
to ride WINTER BLOOM in place of the declared rider.
DANCING JESSIE (A. Velu) planted and ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. S.
Narredu was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour
improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in two Mock Races.
Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of CATO’S CALL, reported that he lost his left
stirrup approaching the 350 Metres which he regained within a few strides.
It was reported after the race that the right fore shoe of CATO’S CALL (Arshad
Alam) had apparently splayed.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SAPTAJIT.
6th Race: 194. The Chatrapathy Cup – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 60 and
above (6 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Darius R Byramji to withdraw LOZEN (P.S.
Chouhan) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on right fore
due to inflammed hoof. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness
Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
WINGS OF FORTUNE (Chetan Kalay S) was examined at the starting gates by the
Club’s Veterinary Officer and was found to be trotting lame on right hind. Under
the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before
coming under Starter’s orders.
Mr. Irfan Ghatala trainer of ACE BADRAAN, placed 2nd by the Judge objected
against Jockey David Allan, the rider of PEARL REWARD placed 1st for “the rider
of PEARL REWARD was using the whip on the left at the 150 Metres and drifted out
and took my ground right up to the winning post and my horse was shying away
from the winner and therefore was not able to stretch out which cost me a
certain race”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and
interviewed trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala and Jockey David Allan. After
deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection.
Jockey David Allan, the rider of PEARL REWARD, was reprimanded for not
maintaining a straight a course in the final 100 Metres of the race.

7th Race: 195. The Melkote Plate – Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40
to 65, 5 years old and over (9 Runners).
Jockey S. John, the rider of VENCEDORA, reported that he could not get a clear
run approaching the 700 Metres due to a closely packed field.
Jockey Naveen M, the rider of SCORCHING VULCAN, was fined Rs.1,000/- for
shifting out and causing interference to WILL STAR (A. Imran Khan) on his
outside approaching the 200 Metres.
Jockey Naveen M, the rider of SCORCHING VULCAN, was reprimanded for shifting in
and inconveniencing GLITTERING (Arshad Alam) on his inside in the final 50
Metres.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ACE LEXINGTON.
8th Race: 196. The M.G. Kadali Memorial Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses
rated 40 to 65 (10 Runners).
COOL APPROACH (Irvan Singh) planted, did not raise a fluent gallop and ran
detached from the field thereafter. Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that
he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the
satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race.
Jockey Prashant P Dhebe, the rider of AMBLESIDE, reported that his mount
suddenly got very keen and he had to shift out to avoid striking the front
runner CHINA ONE (Imran Chisty) whereby his mount shifted out and bumped MISS
ADLER (David Allan) on his outside approaching the 1200 Metres. As this incident
was accidental no action was taken.
Jockey A. Ramu, the rider of FAIR GAME, reported that his mount stumbled
approaching the 900 Metres.
Jockey A. Ramu, the rider of FAIR GAME, was reprimanded for shifting in and
inconveniencing SOVIET UNION (Ashok Kumar A) on his inside approaching the 200
Metres.
MISS ADLER (David Allan) sustained bleeding cut injury on left fore fetlock.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch c GABINO.
9th Race: 197. The Amazing Grey Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to
45, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah to substitute Jockey A.R.
Pradeep to ride ONE TO NOTE in place of the declared rider.
HERO WORSHIP (G. Sai Vamshi) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced
GOODWILL WARRIOR (Sunil Samson) on his inside.
It was reported after the race that ICEPICK WILLIE (Syed Imran) had lost its
both fore shoes.
ICEPICK WILLIE (Syed Imran) sustained bleeding cut injury on right fore pastern.
