1st Race: 198. The Longchamp Plate Div.III – (About) 1200 Metres. For horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners).

Jockey S. Guruprasad, the rider of WESTERN DREAM, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing GRAPES ON THE SILL (Vinod Shinde) which in turn passed it on to AZURE MIST (Sunil Samson) on his inside approaching the 1100 Metres.
 

Jockey Vivek, the rider of SEA DOVE, reported that passing the 300 Metres, Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of GRAPES ON THE SILL, struck his whip whereby he lost his whip. As this was accidental no action was taken.

WESTERN DREAM (S. Guruprasad) sustained cut injury on left fore cannon.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f AMORATE.

2nd Race: 199. The Manipal Plate – Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 5 years old and over (Whips not allowed) (9 Runners).

It was reported after the race that RULING PASSIONS (Imran Chisty) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. K. Pradeep Annaiah (deputizing for Trainer Mr. M.P Mahaesh) was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

An enquiry is being held into the riding of Jockey Prashant P Dhebe on his mount SECRET LAUNCH with specific reference to riding in the final stages of the race.

SECRET LAUNCH (Prashant P.Dhebe) was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b m EMANCIPATION.

3rd Race: 200. The Katil Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (10 Runners).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c SERJEANT AT ARMS.

4th Race: 201. The Longchamp Plate Div.I – (About) 1200 Metres. For horses rated 20 to 45 (10 Runners).

NEYMAR (P. Trevor) jumped awkwardly outwards.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b g SALADIN.

5th Race: 202. The S. Rangarajan Memorial Trophy – (About) 2000 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above (6 Runners).

AMAZING CHARM (P. Trevor) was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m LUCIA.

6th Race: 203. The Kumararajah M.A.M. Muthiah Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (10 Runners).

Jockey Surya P, the rider of J GATSBY, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to COUNTRYS CROWN (Suraj Narredu) and PRIVATE PARADISE (A. Imran Khan) which was running directly behind had to be checked by its rider to avoid striking the front runner approaching the 800 Metres.

It was reported after the race that COUNTRYS CROWN (Suraj Narredu) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. S. Narredu was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

It was reported after the race that EMERGING STAR (Vinod Shinde) had apparently lost its right fore shoe.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g TAQDEER KA BADSHAH.

7th Race: 204. The Manipal Plate – Div.I - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25, 5 years old and over (Whips not allowed) (10 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla to withdraw SCORCHING on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe, the rider of LOVELY DANCER, was questioned regarding the handling of his mount in the straight. Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe informed that after entering the straight he anticipated that the horses running in front would not give him a gap on the inside and he decided to shift out and make his move. However, horses running in front closed the gap and he had to ease his mount for few strides and shifted out further and did his best. He was shown the replay of the race and was pointed out that after entering the straight there was no need for him to panic and shift out. He should have tried to take the gap on his inside at about 350 Metres. Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe was cautioned for riding an incompetent race due to which he lost a certain race.

EQUAL TERMS (Vinod Shinde) was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m OYE COMO VA.

8th Race: 205. The Longchamp Plate Div.II – (About) 1200 Metres. For horses rated 20 to 45 (9 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla to withdraw GOLDEN FRIEND (D. Patel) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on right hind due to sprained stifle. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

ARCTIC CONVOY (Arshad Alam) dislodged the rider on the way to the starting gates and ran riderless round the course. On examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was found that the pulse rate was high. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s orders.

AMAZING KHODAL (B. Nayak) whipped around soon after jumping out and did not take practical part in the race. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race.

THE PATRIOT (G. Sai Vamshi) jumped awkwardly inwards.

THE PATRIOT (G. Sai Vamshi) was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported.

CHURCHILL (Chetan Kalay S) was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported.

Race No.68: The Bangalore 1000 Guineas (Grade II) (About) 1600 Metres 3 year old Indian Fillies (Foaled in 2012)


The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their meeting held on 26th February 2016 considered the analytical report received from Laboratory of Federation Nationale Des Courses Francaise France (Laboratoire des courses Hippiques, France), pertaining to the analysis of the urine sample taken from b f STARLET (trained by Mr. S. Dominic) which had shown the presence of PENTAZOCINE (prohibited substance) the sample of which was taken after the said horse was placed First in the above race.


The Stewards noted the following:


The trainer vide his letter dated 4th February 2016 requested that the split sample of the urine of the said horse be sent to LGC, New Market, UK. Accordingly the split sample of urine of the horse was sent the said Laboratory for confirmatory analysis. The Laboratory LGC, UK vide its report dated 23rd February 2016, confirmed the presence of the drug PENTAZOCINE in the split urine sample of the horse b f STARLET. The above result was communicated to the trainer concerned.


Therefore, the Stewards at their meeting held on 26th February 2016, decided to disqualify the horse from the above race and revise the order of placings as under:
