Penetrometer Reading : 3.6 Cms.
Rail position : Railing fixed at average width of 6 Metres from 1600
Metres to 1000 Metres, 7 Metres from 1000 Metres to 600 Metres and 6 Metres from
600 Metres to the winning post.
1st Race: 222. The Mekedatu Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to 25
(12 Runners).
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of PURE ESTEEM, reported that his mount was
hanging in, in the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination
but no abnormality was reported.
Jockey Ashok Kumar A, the rider of DONTWORRYMONDAY, reported that his mount was
lugging in under pressure in the final 200 Metres.
Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was questioned regarding the improved performance of
his charge REPSOL as compared to its previous run in Race No.190 of the
Bangalore Winter Meeting 2015-16. The trainer stated that his charge was slow
away in its previous start and had two gate practice thereafter and had worked
very well with a higher class horse (MAGNITUDE STAR) and he also added that he
had removed the blinker as such the horse was jumping out well in the morning
gate practice which it did in the race too. His explanation was noted for future
reference.

2nd Race: 223. The Icebreaker Plate – Div.II - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated
20 to 45, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).
STARHUNT (G. Sai Vamshi) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In
view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was informed that he must not
accept with it again until its behaivour improved to the satisfaction of the
Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race.
Jockey Vinod Shinde, the rider of HIDDEN HERO, reported that he lost his whip
approaching the 200 Metres.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m MEHERANI.
3rd Race: 224. The Ardent Knight Trophy – (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Horses 3
years old only (Terms) (10 Runners).
As Jockey S. Mallikarjuna was certified medically unfit to ride permission was
granted to trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to substitute Jockey M. Kumar to ride MY
KING in place of the declared rider.
GLAMOUROUS APPROACH (G. Sai Vamshi) after jumping out swerved towards the right
and did not raise a fluent gallop till about 1300 Metres. In view of its
behaviour trainer Mr. S. Dominic was informed that he must not accept with it
again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary
Stewards in a Mock Race.
Jockey M. Kumar, the rider of MY KING, was reprimanded for shifting out and
bumping INTREPID WARRIOR (Imran Chisty) on his outside approaching the 1000
Metres.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f LA DONA.
4th Race: 225. The Icebreaker Plate – Div.I - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated
20 to 45, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).
COMMISSARIAT (S. Selvaraj) was extremely fractious and was stuck between
the front shutter of the starting gate for a considerable period of time. Under
the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter’s
order.
SALINA (Kiran Rai) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its
behaviour trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed that he must not accept with it
again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary
Stewards in a Mock Race.
CELESTIAL STORM (Vivek) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In
view of its behaviour trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was informed that he must not
accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the
Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on starting gate practice day.
Jockey M. Prabhakaran, the rider of EVEREST, reported that he lost his whip
passing the 200 Metres.
Jockey S. John, the rider of CONQUISTADOR placed 2nd by the Judge objected
against Jockey M. Prabhakaran, the rider of EVEREST, placed 1st for “within the
red marker at the start the winner came in sharply and I had to check my mount.
In the final 200 Metres he came out continuously and took my ground thereby my
horse was shying out which cost me a certain race”. The Stewards held an enquiry
immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned and trainer Mr.
Neil Darashah, spokes- person for Jockey M. Prabhakaran. After deliberations,
they decided to over- rule the objection.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of CANDICE placed 3rd by the Judge objected
against Jockey S. John, the rider of CONQUISTADOR placed 2nd for “passing the
300 Metres I was on the outside of John who continuously started drifting out
and taking my ground thereby I lost considerable ground and in the last 75
Metres I had to check my mount and stop riding whereby I lost a certain race”.
The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the
Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to over rule the objection.
Jockey M. Prabhakaran, the rider of EVEREST, was fined Rs.3,000/- for coming in
sharply before the red marker post.

5th Race: 226. The F.K. Irani Memorial Trophy – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses
rated 60 and above (8 Runners).
KINGSTON TOWN (Suraj Narredu) was impounded for veterinary examination but no
abnormality was reported.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f SEA FAIREY.
6th Race: 227. The Karwar Plate – (About) 1800 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (7
Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Neil Darashah to withdraw
SHARPSHOOTER (Suraj Narredu) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be
trotting lame due to sprained right fore tendon. He was informed that he must
produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before
accepting with it again.
TOP SMILES (Naveen M) planted and did not take any practical part in the race.
In view of its behaivour trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must not
accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the
Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race.

7th Race: 228. The Manasa Sarovara Plate – (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40
to 65, 6 years old and over (12 Runners).
AYRTON (S. John) took a fly jump.
ARTIC ATTRACTION (Syed Imran) accidentally brushed the false rails approaching
the 1000 Metres.
Jockey Syed Imran, the rider of ARTIC ATTRACTION, was reprimanded for shifting
out and bumping YELLOWZONE (Arshad Alam) on his outside passing the 900 Metres.
It was observed that the left stirrup on WREKIN (Chetan Kalay S) snapped passing
the 800 Metres totally unbalancing the rider whereby he could not offer any
assistance and had to remove his right leg from the stirrup in the final 100
Metres and ride without the aid of both stirrups.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g MAGNITUDE STAR.
8th Race: 229. The Tungabhadra Plate – (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to
65, 5 years old and over (whips not allowed) (12 Runners).
Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was fined Rs.5,000/- for the discrepancy in
shoeing in respect of his charge SPANISH MOON (David Allan) (1st infringement).
Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of RICH REVIVAL, was fined Rs.1,000/- for
shifting out and causing interference to WHY SHOULD I (G. Sai Vamshi)
approaching the 150 Metres.

199. The Manipal Plate – Div.II - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 00 to
25, 5 years old and over (Whips not allowed)
An enquiry was held into the manner of riding by Jockey Prashant P Dhebe on his
mount SECRET LAUNCH in that he stopped riding in the final stages of the race.
(a) Jockey Prashant P Dhebe was issued a charge sheet (No.965) on 9th March 2016 as his riding was observed to be not persevering with his mount (riding an over confident race).
(b) As per the charge sheet he was again interviewed on 3-3-2016 along with trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj. During the enquiry he accepted his mistake of riding an over confident race and apologized for the same and also assured that he will not repeat such mistake again.
(c) Jockey Prashant P Dhebe was reported to the Stewards for further action.
(d) The Stewards held an enquiry on 10-3-2016 and interviewed trainer Mr.
B. Prithviraj and Jockey Prashant P Dhebe. After deliberations, they decided to
suspend Jockey Prashant P Dhebe with effect from 23-3-2016 to 25-3-2016 (both
days inclusive) and should his Apprentice Jockey’s Licence be granted for the
season 2016-17 the same shall remain suspended from 14-5-2016 to 22-5-2016 (both
days inclusive) for not persevering with his mount SECRET LAUNCH and riding an
over confident race thereby contravening Rule No.161(iv) of the BTC Rules of
Racing (permitted to ride work).
(c) Jockey Prashant P Dhebe was informed of his right of appeal to the Board of
Appeal.
