False Rails: Railing fixed at average width of 4.5 Meters from 1600 Meters to the winning post from its original position.
1st Race: 118. The Native Chieftan Plate - Div. II - (About) 1200 Meters. Horses rated 15 to 35, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).
REAL GENEROUS (V.R. Jagadeesh) bolted on the way to the gates and dropped the rider. The horse was subsequently apprehended and subjected to veterinary examination, on examination the horse was passed fit and permitted to race.
Jockey A. Ramu, the rider of ATLANTIC CITY was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing GOLDEN FRIEND (Nitin Singh) passing the 1100 Meters.
Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of IGNITION was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing ARZIKI (Irvan Singh) approaching 900 Meters.
Jockey Ramesh Kumar N, the rider of A CROWN was reprimanded for travelling wide from 500 Meters till about 300 Meters.
PERFECT QUEEN (Md Hesnain) sustained superficial injury on right hock.
Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar was questioned regarding the inconsistent performance of his charge JUST FABULOUS as compared to its previous run in Race No.85 of the Bangalore Winter Meeting 2016-17. The Trainer stated that:
(a) His charge had run after long layoff in Race No.85;
(b) It was scheduled to run during the Mysore Regular season, and as it had injured itself in the float due to its fractious behavior it could not participate;
(c) It had recovered from a suspensory problem;
(d) It was a maiden until this win.
His explanations were noted for future reference.

2nd Race: 119. The Ranganathittu Plate - (About) 1400 Meters. Horses rated 15 to 35(9 Runners).
INTERNAL AFFAIR (Raghu K) was extremely fractious, ducked from the starting stall and ran rider less. On immediate examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was found to have sustained contusion on back. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under starters order. Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V. was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
TROJAN (K. Raja Rao) was extremely fractious and refused to be stalled. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under starters order.
IRA (M. Mark) was extremely fractious and refused to be stalled. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under starters order.
Jockey D. Patel, the rider of ROCK STEADY was severely reprimanded for repeatedly inconveniencing ROCKET MAN (A. Ramu) soon after jumping out. The Jockey stated that the horse was inclined to lug in very badly and he did his best to control the horse. Trainer Mr. S. Dominic was informed to take remedial measures before accepting with it again.
HAPPY DANCING (Md Hesnain) sustained gum injuries.

3rd Race: 120. The Madras Auction Sale Trophy - (About) 1200 Meters. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (12 Runners).
Jockey Arshad Alam replaced the indisposed V.R. Jagadeesh (who had a fall in the first race while on the way to the gates) on MASTER OF WAR.
Jockey Sahanawaz, the rider of PARTING SHOT reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.

4th Race: 121. The New Year Cup - (Grade-III) (About) 1400 Meters. 4 years old and over (Terms) (9 Runners).
Jockey Prashant P Dhebe replaced the indisposed V.R. Jagadeesh on SHIVALIK STAR.
Jockey S. Zervan, the rider of SEA FAIREY was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to the horses on his outside viz; COLDSTREAM (David Allan) ,SHIVALIK STAR (PrashantP.Dhebe) and ACE BUCEPHALUS (Suraj Narredu) passing the 350 Meters.
It was reported after the race that ACE BUCEPHALUS (Suraj Narredu) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

5th Race: 122. The Bangalore Oaks –(Grade-II) (About) 2400 Meters. 4-year-old Indian Fillies (Foaled in 2013) (6 Runners).
Trainer Mr. Imitiaz Sait was fined Rs.5,000/- for delay in submitting his scratching form in respect of his charge BRABOURNE.
Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was fined Rs.10,000/- by the Stewards for not declaring his charge KRISTINE to start in the above race after having accepted with it to run in the above race.
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala to withdraw WATCHMYSCRIPT (S. Zervan) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame due to acute inflamation on left elbow. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
STAR NIJINSKY (Y.S. Srinath) was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have Epiglottic Entrapment (Endoscopy) with ulcer. Trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

6th Race: 123. The Malpe Plate - (About) 1400 Meters. Horses rated 60 and above (12 Runners).
Jockey Neeraj Rawal replaced the indisposed V.R. Jagadeesh on COOL BABY.
Jockey Cedric Segeon, the rider of FORCE ENSIGN reported that his mount stumbled at the start and that it was not galloping fluently throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
Jockey Neeraj Rawal, the rider of COOL BABY was reprimanded for travelling wide in the straight.

7th Race: 124. The Native Chieftan Plate - Div. I - (About) 1200 Meters. Horses rated 15 to 35, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).
It was observed after the race that HIDDEN HERO (Rayan Ahmed R.) pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m DIAMOND GREEN.
8th Race: 125. The Kanchanaganga Plate - (About) 1400 Meters. Horses rated 30 to 50, 5 years old and over (Whips not allowed)(12 Runners).
FOTOGENIC (Prashant P.Dhebe) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behavior, Trainer Mr. Prithviraj B. was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behavior improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.
Jockey Md Hesnain, the rider of WHY SHOULD I was fined Rs.5,000/- for not persevering in the final 400 Meters of the race.

103. The B.A.R.I Plate - (About) 1200 Meters. Horses rated 00 to 20, 4 years old and over
An enquiry was held into the running and riding of DONTWORRYMONDAY on 2nd January, 2017 by the Stipendiary Stewards for the above race.
Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah and Jockey B. Harish were interviewed by the Stipendiary Stewards. The Stipendiary Stewards after considering the submissions made by Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah, Jockey B. Harish and after viewing the CCTV decided to charge Jockey B. Harish for unsatisfactory riding.
The Stipendiary Stewards thereafter suspended Jockey B. Harish with effect from 12th January,2017 upto 26th January, 2017 as he had pleaded guilty of the charge under Rule No. 161 (ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing for unsatisfactory riding on his mount DONTWORRYMONDAY (he was permitted to ride work and was informed of his right to appeal). Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was severely cautioned for the future running of his charge.
