RACING INCIDENTS
(34– 42)
False Rails: Railing fixed at average width of 2.0 Meters from 1600 Metres to the winning post from its original position.
1st Race: 34. The Half A Crown Plate DIV - II(About) 1100 Meters. Horses rated 15 to 35 (11 Runners).
HIGH ADMIRAL (T. S. Jodha) dropped its rider on the way to the starting gate and ran rider less for about at least 1000 Metres. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's order.
VISION OF THE SKY (Adarsh G.) planted, lost many lengths and ran detached from the field. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary stewards in at least one Mock Race.
It was observed that LOOK OUT (K. Raja Rao) was lugging ‘in’ under pressure in the final 250 Metres of the race.
It was reported after the race GOLDEN FRIEND (A. Imran Khan) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f QUEEN OF WINDSOR.
2nd Race: 35. The Linganamakki Plate - (About) 1600 Meters. Horses rated 00 to 20 (8 Runners).
SEA DOVE (V.R. Jagadeesh) was examined by the Club's Veterinary Officer at the starting gate and was found to be trotting lame on right fore. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr.S. Inayathulla was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
It was observed that KINGS KID (Shobhan Babu) was hanging ‘in’ after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
FLYING PRINCE (Irvan Singh) sustained superficial injury to left hind outer bulb.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f EXTREMELYDANGEROUS.
3rd Race: 36. The G. Krishnappa Memorial Cup DIV - II– (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 30 to 50, 4 Years old and over (12 Runners).
DONT TRUST ANY ONE (Arshad Alam) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced ABLE MASTER (S. John) at the start.
GROOVY MOVES (S.K. Paswan) jumped awkwardly outwards thereby inconveniencing ABLE MASTER (S. John) at the start and thereafter shifting and taking out ABLE MASTER. On questioning Jockey S.K. Paswan reported that his mount was hanging out badly all through the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However, Jockey S.K. Paswan was cautioned to be more careful in the future.
Jockey R.Praveen Shinde, the rider of BREAKING AWAY was fined Rs.3000/- for shifting in and causing interference to HECTOR (Cedric Segeon) between the 300 and 200 Metres.
Jockey Nitin Singh, the rider of INDIAN BRAHMOS reported that he was hit by a stone during the race and was bleeding profusely as such he could not offer full assistance to his mount during the race.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f MULTI APP.
4th Race: 37. The Saddle Up Plate DIV-II (About) 1400 Meters. Horses rated 15 to 35 (12 Runners).
Jockey Ahsan Qureshi and Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala were cautioned with regards to the weight of Jockey Ahsan Qureshi, with specific reference to the overweight carried beyond the declared weight of 60 kilos in this race.
Jockey Arshad Alam replaced the indisposed Prashant P.Dhebe on ARABIAN PROMISE.
SAFFRON INTENSE (Raghu K) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr.Narayana Gowda .V was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.
Jockey A.R.Pradeep, the rider of JAYADRATHA was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing ARABIAN PROMISE (Arshad Alam) at the start.
Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of ARABIAN PROMISE reported that he lost his left stirrup iron soon after jumping out due to the collision caused by the outside horse. He also stated that he recovered the stirrup within few metres.
Jockey Y. S. Srinath, the rider of HEAVEN AND EARTH reported that his mount was lugging out under pressure in the final stages of the race.
Jockey A.Imran Khan, the rider of ROCKET PUNCH was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing WONDER WOMAN (P. S. Chouhan) passing the 1000 Metres.
It was observed that HEAVEN AND EARTH (Y. S. Srinath) accidently struck the front runner WONDER WOMAN (P. S. Chouhan) approaching the 700 Metres.
Jockey Ahsan Qureshi, the rider of FIORENZO was fined Rs.2000/- for travelling wide from 700 Metres till 300 Metres for no apparent reason.
WONDER WOMAN (P. S. Chouhan) sustained injury on right hind tendon.
ROCKET PUNCH (A. Imran Khan) sustained superficial injury on right fore cannon.
Jockey M. Prabhakaran, the rider of CLAIRE was severely reprimanded for dropping hands in the final 50 Metres of the race.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f HEAVEN AND EARTH.
5th Race: 38. The G. Krishnappa Memorial Cup DIV - I (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 30 to 50, 4 Years old and over (12 Runners).
Jockey Irvan Singh replaced the indisposed Prashant P.Dhebe on MARIKO.
Jockey M. Mark replaced the indisposed V.R. Jagadeesh on NEYMAR.
Jockey M. Kumar, the rider of ODYSSEY was fined Rs.1000/- for shifting in and tightening the horses on his inside viz., NEYMAR (M. Mark), STELLAR AMBITION (A.Imran Khan) and NATIVE ELEMENTS (Kiran Naidu) passing the 1000 Metres.
Jockey M. Mark, the rider of NEYMAR was fined Rs.2000/- for shifting 'in' and causing interference to POWERSCOURT (S. John) and MANTA RAY (Rayan Ahmed R.) which was travelling directly behind also had to be checked approaching 1000 Metres.
Jockey Irvan Singh, the rider of MARIKO was fined Rs.1000/- for shifting out and causing interference to ODYSSEY (M. Kumar) on his outside passing the 250 Metres.
J GATSBY (G.Y.Rajesh Babu) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar advised to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
Jockey Ashok Kumar A., the rider of CELESTIAL STORM reported that he could not get a clear run passing the 300 Metres due to the crowding of the field.
MARIKO (Irvan Singh) sustained superficial injury to left hock.
J GATSBY (G.Y.Rajesh Babu) sustained gum injury.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner gr g MAJESTIC STYLE.
6th Race: 39. The Saddle Up Plate DIV - I (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 15 to 35 (10 Runners).
Jockey Vinod Shinde replaced the indisposed Prashant P.Dhebe on LEPTIS MAGNA.
STELLA MARI (Naveen. M) jumped out awkwardly thereafter buckled and lost balance resulting in the horses on the inside viz., EXPORT QUALITY (Chethan Gowda) and ADULATION (Y.S. Srinath) being inconvenienced.
Jockey Naveen.M, the rider of STELLA MARI was severely reprimanded for not wearing his goggles during the race.
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan to withdraw BLAZING FAITH (Rayan Ahmed R.) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right hind due to sprained stifle. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Trainer Mr.S. Ganapathy was fined Rs.10,000/- by the Stewards for Contravention of General Condition 5 of the Prospectus of Bangalore Winter Meeting 2016-17 in accepting QUEEN OF WINDSOR in the above race today and also for today’s 1st race i.e. The Half A Crown Plate DIV – II (About) 1100 Meters. Horses rated 15 to 35.Subsequently it was not declared to start.
Jockey M. Mark, the rider of TANOURA reported that his mount was not galloping fluently throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ADULATION.
7th Race: 40. The Hyderabad Silver Vase - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 75 and above (12 Runners).
Jockey M. Prabhakaran replaced the indisposed Prashant P.Dhebe on GOOD FORTUNE.
Jockey Surya P, the rider of HAVELOCK PRINCE was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing PENTAGRAM (Arshad Alam) at the start.
Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of SMILE STONE was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing PENTAGRAM (Arshad Alam) at the start.
Jockey Y. S. Srinath, the rider of SMILE STONE was reprimanded for shifting 'in' and inconveniencing LIGHT OF MAGIC (P. S. Chouhan) passing the 700 Metres.
Jockey Nazerul Alam, the rider of GOLDBERG shifted in sharply soon after jumping out and caused interference to the horses on his inside viz; GOOD FORTUNE (M. Prabhakaran), MICKEY MOUSE (Rayan Ahmed R.) and LIGHT OF MAGIC (P. S. Chouhan) before passing the red marker post. An enquiry is being held into the incident.

8th Race: 41. The Half A Crown Plate DIV - I (About) 1100 Metres. Horses rated 15 to 35 (12 Runners).
It was observed that BELLEROPHON(Cedric Segeon) shifted out and caused interference to the horses on his outside viz., RARE AND FAMOUS (Prashanth T.M),EARLY BIRD (Arshad Alam),FINE BARRISTOR (Vinod Shinde) and GIRL WITH PEARL (A.Imran Khan) passing the 800 Metres. As it was accidental no action was taken beyond noting the incident.
A WORD TO REMEMBER (S. Guruprasad) ran detached from the field till about 350 Metres of the race. Trainer Mr. Warren Singh advised to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f PARADISO.
9th Race: 42. The Sohna Stud Plate (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 45 to 65 (12 Runners).
Jockey Vinod Shinde replaced the indisposed Prashant P.Dhebe on RARE AND BOLD.
Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar was fined Rs.5000/- for the late submission in the entry form in respect of his charge SIDE WINDER (T.S. Jodha).
WISE GUY (Chethan Gowda) sustained injury to left hind inner bulb.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g INTEGRATED.

210. The Governor’s Cup (Grade-III) – (About) 2400 Metres. 4 years old and over.
The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. at their meeting held on Saturday 19th November, 2016 considered the report submitted by the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the detection of the drug ACIDE SALICYCLIQUE (SALICYCIC ACID) (Class IV) - prohibited substance in the urine sample taken from b f STAR FORMATION after placing 3rd in Race No.210 of the Bangalore Summer Meeting 2016 i.e. The Governor’s Cup (about) 2400 metres, 4 years old and over run on Saturday 13th August 2016. The Horse trained by Mr. G. Sandhu and owned by M/s. Suchit Jayraj Shah and Dharmesh Bhupat Giri.
The Stewards of the Club examined trainer Mr. G. Sandhu. After deliberations, they decided to fine him a sum of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) for infringement of Medication Rules in respect of his charge b f STAR FORMATION as contained in BTC Calendar Notification under the heading “Medication and treatment of horses in Training and Racing and Anti-Doping Control” reading as follows:
“The trainer is always responsible for the protection and security of the horse in his care. The trainers are warned that they will be held responsible if an examination of a horse, results in the finding of any prohibited substances”.
