1st Race: 94. The Horanadu Plate - (About) 1200 Meters. Horses rated 15 to 35, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).
SECRET PRAYER (Raghu K) jumped awkwardly outward and inconveniencing THUNDERSQUALL (A. Imran Khan) at the start.
Jockey Shiva Kumar S, the rider of HIDDEN DEAL was fined Rs.3,000/- for not sufficiently persevering with his mount during the last 400 Meters.
Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of EL MATADOR reported that his mount was hanging 'in' after entering the straight. Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c WEAR THE HAT.
2nd Race: 95. The Kemmangundi Plate - (About) 1600 Meters. Horses rated 00 to 20. (11 Runners).
Trainer Mr. Prithviraj.B was fined Rs.1,000/- for failing to produce the declared colors at the scales in respect of his charge RICHIE RICH. Subsequently All Black emergency colors were permitted to be used.
Trainer Mr. Sandhu.G was fined Rs.1,000/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge WAY WE WERE. Subsequently All Black emergency colours were permitted to be used.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of ACTIVE GREY was reprimanded for shifting 'in' and bumping SEA DOVE (V.R.Jagadeesh) which in turn shifted in and inconvenienced WAY WE WERE (S. Zervan) on his inside approaching 900 Meters.
Jockey P. Ramesh, the rider of RICHIE RICH was fined Rs.1,000/- for improper use of whip in that he used the whip beyond the point of shoulder.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner gr m ACTIVE GREY.
3rd Race: 96. The A.P. Kothavala Memorial Cup - (About) 1200 Meters. 2 years old only (Terms)(8 Runners).
HAEDI'S FOLLY (A. Sandesh) was sluggish after jumping out did not raise a fluent gallop thereafter for the first 100 Meters of the race.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g PHOENIX FALCON.
4th Race: 97. The Kempegowda Cup - Div. II - (About) 1200 Meters. Horses rated 60 and above . (11 Runners).
TAQDEER KA BADSHAH (Raghu.K) was examined at the starting gate by the Club's Veterinary Officer and was found to be trotting lame. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda.V was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Trainer Mr. Rajesh Narredu was fined Rs.2,000/- for using a Tongue Strap on his charge NATIVE ELEMENTS (Suraj Narredu) without obtaining prior permission. Subsequently, it was removed before the horse started for the race.
Jockey P. S. Chouhan, the rider of LIFE AWAITS was reprimanded for coming 'in' and cutting across the field before passing the red marker post.
It was reported after the race that ALBERTINO (S. Selvaraj) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
VIRAT (Shiva Kumar.S) sustained superficial injury on right hind inner bulb.

5th Race: 98. The Raichur Plate - (About) 1400 Meters. Horses rated 30 to 50. (12 Runners).
CARINOSA (Arshad Alam) jumped awkwardly inward and inconvenienced ABLE MASTER (Darshan R.N) at the start.
Jockey Darshan R.N, the rider of ABLE MASTER was fined Rs.1,000/- for coming 'in' and causing interference to LIGHTNING STRIKES (S. Zervan) at about 1300 Meters.
Jockey V.R.Jagadeesh, the rider of GALINO reported that he could not ride from the desired position for the first 600 Meters as he had to avoid the kick back from the track and therefore he was forced to travel last during most part of the race.
Jockey M. Prabhakaran, the rider of STRONG CONVICTION reported that his mount stopped galloping in the final 150 Meters. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
WREKIN (Shiva Kumar.S) sustained superficial injury on left gaskin and right hind fetlock.
It was reported after the race that LIGHTNING STRIKES (Zervan. S) had lost its right hind shoe during the race.

6th Race: 99. The Kempegowda Cup - Div. I - (About) 1200 Meters. Horses rated 60 and above . (12 Runners).
BONFIRE (Arshad Alam) jumped awkwardly inward and inconvenienced ACE BADRAAN (Anjar Alam) at the start.
In a tightly packed field FORCE ENSIGN (A. Sandesh) had to be ridden in a check for about 200 Meters i.e., from 1100 Meters till about 900 Meters.
An enquiry was held into the inconsistent performance of MICKEY MOUSE (P. Trevor) trained by Mr. Narayana Gowda. V, as regards to its previous run in Race No.91 of the Bangalore Winter Meeting 2016-17.
After due enquiry Trainer Mr.Narayana Gowda. V was fined Rs.10,000/- for inconsistent performance of his horse MICKEY MOUSE in relation to the previous run i.e., in Race No. 91, THE SRIKANTADATTA NARASIMHARAJA WADIYAR MEMORIAL TROPHY for horses rated 75 and above, Distance (about) – 1400 Meters where the horse ran sixth.
It was reported after the race that NEW EMPEROR (Raghu.K) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

7th Race: 100. The Summer Dust Plate - (About) 1400 Meters. Horses rated 15 to 35. (11 Runners).
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Sandhu. G to withdraw LAMREI (S.K. Paswan) as it had splayed its left fore shoe and that the horse was non-cooperative to further re-shoe the horse.
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar to replace Jockey P. Surya to ride PERFECT PRINCE in place of Jockey R. Praveen Shinde who was declared medically unfit to ride.
HARLEY QUINN (Rahgu.K) was disqualified from the above race as the Jockey had weighed in 3 kgs less than what he had weighed out. An enquiry was held into the incident.
After due enquiry on 24th December, 2016 with the Trainer, Jamedar, Clerk of the Scales and Jockey, the Stipendiary Stewards after considering all evidences and after due deliberations, decided to fine Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda.V a sum of Rs.20,000/- for contravening Rule No.166(b) read in conjunction with Rule No.114 (b)(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing.
It was reported after the race that HARELY QUINN (Raghu.K) burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy Grade-III). Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda.V was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b f HARLEY QUINN.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f RARE RHYTHM.
8th Race: 101. The U.R.Siddheswarappa Memorial Plate (About) 1200 Meters. Horses rated 30 to 50, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).
Jockey Ashok Kumar.A, the rider of OMBER GLAZE was reprimanded for shifting ‘out’ and inconveniencing BLUES LEGEND (Arshad Alam) which in turn passed it onto INDIAN BRAHMOS (Nitin Singh) passing the 200 Meters.
It was observed that LIEGE LORD (Harish.B) drifted in and caused interference to ALVAREZ (Rayan Ahmed.R) passing the 300 Meters.
On questioning, Jockey Harish. B, the rider of LIEGE LORD reported that his mount was hanging ‘in’ after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for Veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was informed to take remedial measures before accepting with it again and Jockey Harish. B was reprimanded for the interference caused to ALVAREZ.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m BLUES LEGEND.
