RACING INCIDENTS

(60– 68)

Penetrometer Reading:  5.1 Cms

False Rails: Railing fixed at average width of 4.5 Meters from 1600 Meters to the winning post from its original position.

1st Race: 60. The Novice Plate - (About) 1200 Meters. Maiden Horses 2 years old only. (12 Runners)

PARTING SHOT (Nitin Singh) rolled out soon after jumping out and inconvenienced the horses on its outside viz; AFTER HOURS (V.R.Jagadeesh),SHIVALIK CROWN (Irvan Singh) and AIR OF DISTINCTION (A.Imran Khan). Jockey Nitin Singh, the rider of PARTING SHOT was fined Rs.2000/- for the above interference.

Jockey Irvan Singh, the rider of SHIVALIK CROWN reported that his mount was hanging 'in' after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Jockey Nitin Singh, the rider of PARTING SHOT reported that his mount was hanging out throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination by the Club's Veterinary Officer it was found to have caps on lower premolar. Trainer F. Sirajuddin was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c SEA KING.

Jockeys reported soon after the race that the track was not conducive for racing and they would not ride for the remaining races of the day.

After persistent requests made to the jockeys to ride the second race and after the Jockeys chose not to ride, the Stewards unanimously decided to conduct the remaining races for the day with Apprentice Jockeys and also Jockey Cedric Segeon (not permitted to carry a whip) all of whom were agreeable to ride.

Accordingly the following change of Jockeys for each race were made in place of the declared Jockeys who had chosen not to ride from the 2^nd race onwards.

2^nd Race: 61. The Nelamangala Plate - (About) 1400 Meters. Horses rated 00 to 20. (10 Runners).

Jockey Anthony Raj. S, the rider of NOW U KNOW was severely reprimanded for shifting in soon after jumping out thereby inconveniencing the horses on his inside viz; ICEPICK WILLIE (M. Naveen), ASSERTIVE PRINCE(Raghu. K) and RESEMBLANCE (R. Rayan Ahmed).

SEA DOVE (Prashant T.M) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

CAMPFIRE (R. Manjunath) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

RESEMBLANCE (Rayan Ahmed. R) sustained superficial injury to right fore inner bulb.

3^rd Race: 62. The Davangere Plate - (About) 1200 Meters. Horses rated 15 to 35, 4 years old and over (12 Runners).

RARE AND FAMOUS (Prashant T.M) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

REPSOL (M. Naveen) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

HIDDEN HERO (Rayan Ahmed R) sustained superficial injury on right fore fetlock.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ATLANTIS.

4^th Race:  63. The Star Luminary Plate - (About) 1400 Meters. Horses rated 15 to 35. (9 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar to withdraw RARE RHYTHM (A. Imran Khan) as he could not find a suitable substitute rider.

MYSTICAL SHADOW(Raghu. K) was extremely fractious in the gates reared up and sat down for a considerable period of time and on immediate examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was found to have sustained concussion of back. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under starters order. Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

CHLOE (Cedric Segeon) was extremely fractious in the gates reared up and sat down for a considerable period of time and on immediate examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was found to have sustained injury on left elbow. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under starters order. Trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey Anthony Raj. S, the rider of DAISY DUKE reported that his rein got entangled in the mane of the horse thereby his mount drift out in the last 200 Meters.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f DAISY DUKE.

5^th Race: 64. The Daria Daulat Cup - Div. I - (About) 1200 Meters. Horses rated 60 and above (9 Runners).

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan to withdraw FELICIANA (David Allan) on veterinary grounds as it was found to have sustained injury on left fore cannon. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g GOLDBERG.

6^th Race:  65. The O.M. Lingappa Silver Bar - (About) 1600 Meters. Horses rated 30 to 50. (8 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan to withdraw SECRET PURSUIT (David Allan) as he could not find a suitable substitute rider.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g THOMAS MORE.

7^th Race: 66. The Bangalore Turf Club Trophy (Grade-III) (About) 1200 Meters. 3 years old and over (9 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar to withdraw CASTLE KEY (Vivek) as he could not find a suitable substitute rider.

Compulsory samples were taken for analysis from the following I, II & III placed horses viz:

It was reported after the race that PEARL SECRET (Manjunath.R) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Aravind.G was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

8^th Race: 67. The Antaragange Plate - (About) 1400 Meters. Horses rated 15 to 35, 5 years old and over (8 Runners).

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Rajesh Narredu to withdraw CANNES on veterinary grounds(on 1^st December 2016) as it was found to be lame on left fore cannon due to inflammed hoof. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan to withdraw HIGH HAWK (Shobhan Babu) as he could not find a suitable substitute rider.

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar to withdraw MASTERS GLORY (V.R. Jagadeesh) as he could not find a suitable substitute rider.

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Darius R. Byramji to withdraw GOAT (Vinod Shinde) as he could not find a suitable substitute rider.

REFORMER (Syed Imran) reared up as the gates opened and lost many lengths. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behavior improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards at least in one Mock Race.

9^th Race: 68. The Daria Daulat Cup - Div. II - (About) 1200 Meters. Horses rated 60 and above (9 Runners).

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Neil Darashah to withdraw NABISCO (M. Mark) as he could not find a suitable substitute rider.

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan to withdraw ERAGON (Indrajeet Singh) as he could not find a suitable substitute rider.

Routine sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g HILLSBORO.

ADDITIONAL REPORT

BANGALORE WINTER MEETING 2016-17

FIRST DAY, FRIDAY, 4^th  NOVEMBER 2016            

5^th Race: 5. The Garden City Trophy Div-I -(About) 1200 Meters. Horses rated 45 to 65, 4 Years old and over.

Enquiry held with the respect to Charge Sheet No.968 dated 18^th November 2016 issued to Jockey Y.S. Srinath the rider of LIFE AWAITS.

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on 2^nd December 2016 interviewed Jockey Y.S. Srinath and considered his submission dated 25^th November 2016 to the Stewards of the Club and his written and verbal apology in respect of the charge levied to him by the Stewards.

 The Stewards after considering the submissions and his apology, decided to take a lenient view against the Jockey and suspended his license with effect from 12^th December 2016 upto 30^th December 2016(both days inclusive) and also fined him a sum Rs.25,000/- under BTC Rules 101 (i); 202 (i) and 202(vii). Further Jockey Y.S. Srinath was cautioned for the future and was informed that he was permitted to ride work.

FIFTH DAY, SATURDAY, 19^th  NOVEMBER 2016            

7^th Race: 40. The Hyderabad Silver Vase (About) 1200 Meters. Horses rated 75 and above.

An enquiry was held into the interference caused by Apprentice Jockey Nazerul Alam the rider of GOLDBERG wherein immediately after the start of the above race he shifted in from drawn 7 and caused interference to GOOD FORTUNE (M. Prabhakaran); SIR MAJESTIC (Kiran Naidu);MICKEY MOUSE (Rayan Ahmed. R) and LIGHT OF MAGIC (P.S. Chouhan) and the worst to be effected was MICKEY MOUSE which got unbalanced and dropped back.

The Stipendiary Stewards after considering the submissions made by Jockey Nazerul Alam and after viewing the CCTV, decided to suspend his license with the effect from 2^nd December 2016 to 3^rd December 2016 under Rule 161 (i) of the BTC Rules of Racing for careless riding (permitted to ride work).
