1st Race: 184. The Longchamp Plate - Div. II - (About) 1200 Meters. Horses rated 15 to 35 (10 Runners).
MY KING (Md Hesnain) jumped awkwardly inwards thereby lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.
Jockey Darshan R.N, the rider of KRISTINE was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to MY KING (Md Hesnain) passing the 1100 Meters.
Jockey Tauseef Ahmed, the rider of ARABIAN PROMISE was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing KRISTINE (Darshan R.N) passing the 600 Meters.
Jockey Rayan Ahmed R., the rider of GREY HOUND was fined Rs.5,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to MISTRESS OF SPICE (P. Trevor) on his outside passing the 250 Meters.
Jockey V.R.Jagadeesh, the rider of REGENCY GIRL was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in and causing severe interference to ARABIAN PROMISE (Tauseef Ahmed) on his inside in the last 50 Meters of the race.
Jockey P. Ramesh, the rider of GOLDEN FRIEND was fined Rs.5,000/- for not making sufficient effort over his mount during the race.
It was reported after the race that MY KING (Md Hesnain) pulled up lame on right hind. Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of MISTRESS OF SPICE reported that his mount was hanging 'in' after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
An enquiry is being held into the excess weight of shoes (1073.8gms) on MY KING (Md Hesnain) as regards to prescribed limit of 600 gms, trained by Mr. Sharat Kumar in the above race.
An enquiry is being held into the excess weight of shoes (634.6gms)on GOLDEN FRIEND (P. Ramesh) as regards to prescribed limit of 600 gms, trained by Mr. S. Inayathulla in the above race.

2nd Race: 185. The Classic Story Plate - Div. II - (About) 1400 Meters. Horses rated 15 to 35, 5 years old and over (9 Runners).
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad to withdraw TROJAN (A. Velu) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on left fore due to sprained shoulder. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Jockey Irvan Singh, the rider of REFORMER was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to MYSTICAL SHADOW (Shiva Kumar S.) on his inside passing the 1000 Meters.
ACTIVE GREY (Arshad Alam) accidentally brushed the railing passing the 1000 Meters.
It was reported after the race that REFORMER (Irvan Singh) pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g PRINCEAZEEM.
An enquiry was held on 18th February, 2017 by the Stipendiary Stewards for the above race into the interference caused by Jockey Naveen. M on his mount EMANCIPATION in that from 400 Meters he continuously shifted out and forced TREE LOUNGE (S. John) to shift out for nearly 100 Meters, which ultimately cost him the race.
Jockey Naveen .M was interviewed by the Stipendiary Stewards. The Stipendiary Stewards after considering the submissions made by Jockey Naveen .M and after viewing the CCTV decided to charge Jockey Naveen .M for careless riding.
The Stipendiary Stewards thereafter suspended Jockey Naveen .M with effect from 28th February 2017 upto 11th March, 2017 as he had pleaded guilty of the charge under Rule No. 161 (i) of the BTC Rules of Racing for careless riding on his mount EMANCIPATION (he is permitted to ride work and was informed of his right to appeal).
3rd Race: 186. The Longchamp Plate - Div. I - (About) 1200 Meters. Horses rated 15 to 35 (10 Runners).
It was observed that when the start was affected BELLEROPHON (V.R.Jagadeesh) had its head towards the right, as such lost considerable ground and ran detached thereafter till about 300 Meters.
Jockey Surya P., the rider of SANTORINI SECRET was severely reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing SIX DEGREES (P. Trevor) on his inside passing the 100 Meters.
Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of KANTHAKA reported that the saddle on his mount slightly shifted back. After due examination of the equipment, which was found in good condition, no action was taken beyond noting the incident.
It was reported after the race that STAR LINE (A. Imran Khan) burst its blood vessels and to have sustained superficial injury on left hind pastern. Trainer Mr. Aravind G. was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
MAN OF LAW (S Imran) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

4th Race: 187. The Kumararajah M. A. M. Muthiah Trophy - (About) 1400 Meters. Horses rated 30 to 50(12 Runners).
Jockey Y. S. Srinath, the rider of LIGHTNING STRIKES was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing ARK ROYAL (P. Trevor) on his inside, which had to be steadied by its rider, as such he shifted out and bumped LUNAR STORM (Darshan R.N) on its outside passing the 1000 Meters.
It was reported after the race that SANG ROYAL (S. John) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. G. Nithyanad (deputizing for trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan) was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g LIGHTNING STRIKES.
5th Race: 188. The S. Rangarajan Memorial Trophy - (About) 1600 Meters. Horses rated 60 and above (8 Runners)
It was observed that HAVELOCK PRINCE (Y. S. Srinath) could not be settled as it was running fiercely between 1500 to 1400 Meters and again from 1000 Meters till about 900 Meters.
Jockey M. Kumar, the rider of SUMMER DAWN reported that he accidentally lost his whip passing the 300 Meters.
An enquiry is being held into the excess weight of shoes (855 gms) on SUMMER DAWN (M. Kumar) as regards to prescribed limit of 600 gms, trained by Mr. Sharat Kumar in the above race.

6th Race: 189. The Amazing Grey Plate - (About) 1200 Meters. Horses rated 30 to 50, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).
Trainer Mr.Darius R. Byramji was fined Rs.2,000/- for not using Cross Nose Band on his charge CHINA ONE (Imran Chisty), for which prior permission had been obtained. Subsequently, Cross Nose Band was put on before the horse left the paddock.
GOOD FRUIT (P. Ramesh) jumped out awkwardly, throwing its head and did not raise a fluent gallop, thereby lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Prithviraj B. was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least one Mock Race.
CHINA ONE (Imran Chisty) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Darius R. Byramji was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.
An enquiry is being held into the improved performance of ATLANTIS (Suraj Narredu) trained by S. Narredu in the above race as compared to its previous run in race no.145 of BWM 2016-17. i.e., The Vijayanagar Cup Div – I, about 1200 Meters, horses rated 30 to 50, 5 years old and over, run on 26th January 2017.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ATLANTIS.
7th Race: 190. The Classic Story Plate - Div. I - (About) 1400 Meters. Horses rated 15 to 35, 5 years old and over (9 Runners).
SUDHA (Adarsh G.) accidentally brushed the railings approaching 1000 Meters.
It was observed that SUDHA (Adarsh G.) could not get a clear run in the final 150 Meters due to a closely packed field.
It was reported after the race that SUMMER STAR (A.Ramu) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah (deputizing for trainer Mr.Amit Caddy) was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
An enquiry is being held into the inconsistent pattern running of INTERNAL AFFAIR (Shiva Kumar. S) trained by Narayana Gowda.V in the above race as compared to its previous run in race no.163 of BWM 2016-17. i.e., The Chamundi Hill Plate – Div - I, about 1200 Meters, horses rated 15 to 35, run on 3rd February 2017.
INTERNAL AFFAIR (Shiva Kumar. S) sustained superficial injury on left hind inner bulb.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g INTERNAL AFFAIR.
8th Race: 191. The Katil Plate - (About) 1200 Meters. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (11 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. S. Dominic to withdraw MUSIC DIVINE (Irvan Singh) on veterinary grounds as it fell down while parading in the paddock and sustained concussion on head. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
STREAK AHEAD (P. Trevor) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced AUTOMATIC (Anjar Alam) which in turn passed it onto LIMATO (PrashantP.Dhebe) at the start
TREASURE QUEST (Imran Chisty) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced LADY MAJESTIC (M. Prabhakaran) at the start.

178. The Gumbaz Plate - Div. I - (About) 1400 Meters. Horses rated 15 to 35.
An enquiry was held on 18th February, 2017 by the Stipendiary Stewards for the above race in respect of Jockey Girish.R pertaining to his riding on his mount CALL ME MAYBE in that after jumping out he did not make an effort to follow the instructions of the Trainer i.e., to settle it in sixth/seventh position till about 600 Meters, also he travelled wide entering the straight till about 300 Meters and did not improve his position to ride out his mount.
Jockey Girish.R was interviewed by the Stipendiary Stewards. The Stipendiary Stewards, after considering the submissions made by Jockey Girish.R and Trainer Mr. Prasanna Kumar, after viewing the CCTV replay of the race decided to charge Jockey Girish.R for incompetent riding.
The Stipendiary Stewards thereafter suspended Jockey Girish.R with effect from 28th February 2017 upto 5th March, 2017 (both days inclusive) as he had pleaded guilty of the charge under Rule No. 161 (ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing for incompetent riding on his mount CALL ME MAYBE (he is permitted to ride work and was informed of his right to appeal).
