1st Race: 242. The Somanathpur Plate - (About) 1200 meters. Horses rated 00 to 20, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).
Jockey Jan'dhan Paswan replaced the indisposed Prashant P Dhebe on SONIC STAR.
Jockey B. Nayak replaced the indisposed M. Ravi on RAZIEL.
ABOVE AND BEYOND (K. Mukesh Kumar) jumped awkwardly outwards thereby inconveniencing the horses on its outside viz; ORIENTAL BELLE (Imran Chisty) and THE DARK KNIGHT (Sahanawaz) at the start.
ARZIKI (Darshan R.N) took a fly jump and thereafter accidentally stumbled, momentarily unbalancing the rider soon after the start.
Jockey A.Imran Khan, the rider of GOLDEN FRIEND was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing CRIQUETTE (A.Ramu) which in turn passed it onto FLYING PRINCE (Irvan Singh) approaching 1000 Meters.
It was reported after the race that ABOVE AND BEYOND pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
RAZIEL (B. Nayak) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

2nd Race: 243. The Leading Tipster Trophy - (About) 1600 meters. Horses rated 00 to 20 (8 Runners).
Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was fined Rs.6,000/- for delay in submitting equipment form for removal of (Blinkers) and to use (Side Cheek Pieces) in respect of his charge SIMPLE SUM.
Jockey M. Prabhakaran replaced the indisposed G.Y. Rajesh Babu on MIDNIGHT SKY.
Jockey A. Ramu replaced the indisposed Prashant P Dhebe on BRAVEHEART.
Jockey A.Ramu the declared rider on BRAVEHEART was fined Rs.2,000/- as he could not draw the declared weight on the scales and as no suitable rider was available for substitution. Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad to withdraw BRAVEHEART from the above race.
SIMPLE SUM (Suraj Narredu) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.
Jockey Irvan Singh, the rider of AAKHRI DAO reported that he accidentally lost his whip passing the 200 Meters.
Jockey S. John, the rider of REVERBERATING reported that his mount was lugging in under pressure in the final 200 Meters of the race.

3rd Race: 244. The Totalizator Cup - Div. II - (About) 1200 meters. Horses rated 15 to 35, 5 years old and over (10 Runners).
Jockey Anjar Alam replaced the indisposed A.R. Pradeep on REAL GENEROUS.
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr.Faraz Arshad to withdraw ONE MAN SHOW on veterinary grounds as it was found to be suffering from colic. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
LOVELY DANCER (Jan'dhan Paswan) was examined at the starting gate by the Club's Veterinary Officer and was found to be trotting lame on left fore. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. Azhar Ali was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Jockey Shobhan Babu, the rider of COOL SPRINGS was fined Rs.3,000/- for the improper use of whip on his mount during the race.
CARDIGAN BAY (A.Ramu) sustained superficial injury on left hind fetlock.
EMANCIPATION (Imran Chisty) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

4th Race: 245. The Champion Jockey Trophy - (About) 2000 meters. Horses rated 15 to 35 (9 Runners).
Jockey P.Trevor was fined Rs.2,000/- for accepting two rides in the above race. Subsequently, permission was granted to him to ride JERSEY BEAUTY and permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah to declare Jockey Imran Chisty to ride DANCING PRINCESS.
NINON (Suraj Narredu) veered out alarmingly towards the outer sand track approaching the 1800 Meters, dislodged the rider and thereafter ran rider less. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was informed that should he choose to run it again over nine fur-long, he should show it in one Mock race on a race day.

5th Race: 246. The Totalizator Cup - Div. I - (About) 1200 meters. Horses rated 15 to 35, 5 years old and over (11 Runners).
Jockey A. Ramu replaced the indisposed A.R. Pradeep on ABLE MASTER.
Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was fined Rs.2,000/- for applying Tongue Strap on his charge ABLE MASTER for which prior permission had not been obtained. Subsequently, the Tongue Strap was removed before the horse left the paddock.
BOYSTEROUS (Vinod Shinde) was examined at the starting gate by the Club's Veterinary Officer and was found to be trotting lame on right fore. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. Azhar Ali was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

It was reported after the race that ROCK N ROLLA (Irvan Singh) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

6th Race: 247. The Leading Owner Trophy - Div. I - (About) 1400 meters. Horses rated 45 to 65, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).
Jockey Jan'dharn Paswan replaced the indisposed Prashant P Dhebe on AFORE.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of JERSEY SHORE was questioned regarding his riding in the final 150 Meters of the race. The Jockey stated that when asked for an effort his mount started falling inwards. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination by the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have (Epiglotic Entrapment). Trainer Mr. M. P. Mahaesh was informed to take appropriate remedial measures before accepting with it again.
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from b g JERSEY SHORE.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g EL FENIX.
7th Race: 248. The Bangalore Juvenile Million (Grade- III) (About) 1400 meters. For 3-year-old horses (foaled in 2014) (8 Runners).
It was reported after the race that CAPO DE CAPI (P. Trevor) had apparently lost its left fore shoe during the race.
Compulsory samples were taken for analysis from the following I, II & III placed horses viz:

8th Race: 249. The Leading Stud Trophy - (About) 1200 meters. Horses rated 60 and above (12 Runners).
Jockey Khurshad Alam replaced the indisposed Prashant P Dhebe on DREAM STAR.
It was observed that SALADIN (David Allan) accidentally stumbled at the start.
Jockey Irvan Singh, the rider of ACE BADRAAN reported that he accidentally lost his whip passing the 200 Meters.
It was reported after the race that NEW EMPEROR (Sunil Samson) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. Kishan Thomas was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
It was reported after the race that ALBERTINO (Anjar Alam) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey Sunil Samson replaced the indisposed R. Praveen Shinde on LOVE IS LIFE.
Jockey Kiran Naidu replaced the indisposed Imran Chisty on INTREPID WARRIOR.
Jockey Irvan Singh replaced the indisposed A.R. Pradeep on INTER FLORA.
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah to withdraw PROUDPRINCE (Prashant P.Dhebe) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be suffering from fever. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
LIGHTNING ATTACK (P. Trevor) was examined at the starting gate by the Club's Veterinary Officer and was found to be trotting lame on left fore. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr.V. Lokanath was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
INTREPID WARRIOR (Kiran Naidu) was slowly away, did not raise a fluent gallop after jumping out, thereby lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.
Jockey Irvan Singh, the rider of INTER FLORA was fined Rs.5,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to ARECA CRUISE (S. John) passing the 150 Meters.

10th Race: 251. The Leading Owner Trophy - Div. II - (About) 1400 meters. Horses rated 45 to 65, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).

Jockey Sunil Samson replaced the indisposed R. Praveen Shinde on BAZINGA.
Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of MAJESTIC STYLE reported that his mount was hanging out very badly between 1300 Meters and 800 Meters. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

BANGALORE TURF CLUB LTD. ORDER OF THE STEWARDS RANDOM TESTING FOR ANABOLIC STEROIDS AND SEX HORMONES The Stewards at their meeting held on Saturday, 18th March 2017 considered the report submitted by the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the detection of 16 B HYDROXYSTANAZOLOL (prohibited substance) from the urine sample of dk b g RIGELRAY - the sample taken on 21st October 2016 during Random Testing for Anabolic Steroids and Sex Hormones. The horse trained by Mr. R.V. Manohar and owned by Mr. Srinivas Shankar. They examined trainer Mr. R.V. Manohar. After deliberations, they decided as follows: (a) To declare Trainer Mr. R V Manohar a disqualified person under the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., Rules of Racing, from 1st April 2017 to 28th February 2018 [both days inclusive], for infringement of Medication Rules [in respect of his charge dk b g RIGELRAY (1st Infringement)]; and (b) That the horse dk b g RIGELRAY be not permitted to race for a period of six months effective from 21st December 2016 upto 20th May 2017 [both days inclusive], in terms of provisions of BTC Racing Calender Medication Rules under the heading, “Medication and Treatment of horses in Training, Racing and Anti-Doping Control” read with Notice under the heading, “Anabolic Steroids and Sex Hormones” reading as follows: [i] “Any horse that tests positive for a substance covered under a separate list of drugs termed as ‘the proscribed List’ (Anabolic Steriods/Sex Hormones, etc.,), the concerned Trainer shall be declared a disqualified person.” [ii] “The horse found positive Anabolic Steriods (s)/Sex Hormone(s) shall not be permitted to race for a period of six(6) Months as mentioned above and such horse/s shall be subjected to testing for Anabolic Steriod(s)/Sex Hormone(s) before entering in a race and such entry shall not be accepted till such time the sample comes negative for Anabolic Steriod(s)/Sex Hormone(s). The testing charges shall be borne by the concerned owners. The said testing shall be done at the Laboratory as approved by the Stewards.” The Trainer was informed of his right to appeal. The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. at their meeting held on Friday 17th March, 2017 considered the report submitted by the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the detection of the drug OXYPHENYLBUTAZONE (Class IV) - prohibited substance in the urine sample taken from b g NEW ERA after its win in Race No.52 of the Bangalore Winter Meeting 2016-17 i.e. The Planetarium Plate - (about) 1200 Metres, Horses rated 00 to 20, 4 years old and over (whips not allowed) run on Friday 2nd December 2016. The Horse trained by Mr. Faraz Arshad and owned by M/s. Faraz Arshad and Dayanand Kachuwah’s.
The Stewards of the Club examined trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad. After deliberations, they decided to fine him a sum of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) for infringement of Medication Rules in respect of his charge b g NEW ERA as contained in BTC Calendar Notification under the heading “Medication Rules” Medication and Treatment of horses in Training, Racing and Anti-Doping Control reading as follows:
“The trainer is always responsible for the protection and security of the horse in his care. The trainers are warned that they will be held responsible if on examination of a horse, results in the finding of any prohibited substances”.

131. The Mercara Plate - (About) 1200 Meters. Horses rated 30 to 50, 5 years old and over Jockey Y.S. Srinath, the rider of MASSIVE DYNAMICS was fined Rs.10,000/- for shifting 'in' and caused interference to J GATSBY (M. Mark) who was totally unbalanced on his mount whereby MANTA RAY (Rayan Ahmed R.) which was travelling along the rails shied away unbalancing its rider approaching 300 Meters.

207. The Gadag Plate - Div. I - (About) 1100 meters. Horses rated 15 to 35 After due enquiry into the interference received by ZAFRINA (Suraj Narredu) approaching 900 Meters in the above race. It was concluded that ISLAND PEARL (M. Rajesh Kumar) shied from VARSHA (Y.S. Srinath) thereby causing interference ZAFRINA (Suraj Narredu) approaching 900 Meters, as the incident was accidental no action was taken.
