False Rails: Railing fixed at its original position.
1st Race: 16. The Linganamakki Plate - (About) 1200 meters. Horses rated 00 to 20 (14 Runners).
SECRET PRAYER (Raghu .K) jumped out awkwardly.
ANEMOS (A.R. Pradeep) jumped awkwardly inwards.
Jockey Kiran Rai .P, the rider of HELIOS was fined Rs. 2,000/- for not sufficiently persevering with his mount after entering the straight.
RAMON (Prashanth T.M) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. M. Rajendra Singh was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
GALENO (Prashant P. Dhebe) sustained superficial injury on left fore pastern.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f ALLSETTOGO.
2nd Race: 17. The Ranganathittu Plate - Div. II - (About) 1400 meters. Horses rated 15 to 35 (13 Runners).
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala to withdraw IRIS (Anjar Alam) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on left fore due to inflammed hoof. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
ROMANTIC HAVEN (Jan'dhan Paswan) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced CASEY (S. John) at the start.
Jockey Prashant P.Dhebe, the rider of DANCING DRAGON reported that his mount was running green throughout the race and was very keen between 900 Meters and 700 Meters, as such the rider had to check his mount to avoid striking the front runner OWN SCRIPT (Ahsan Qureshi) in the process shifted out and inconvenienced the horses on his outside viz; INTERNAL AFFAIR (Kiran Rai .P) and FLYING BULLET (Aqeed Waheed) passing the 600 Meters. As the incident was accidental no action was taken beyond noting the incident. Further, it was reported after the race that DANCING DRAGON (Prashant P.Dhebe) pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. Neil Darashah was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Jockey T.S. Jodha, the rider of SMILE OF PEACE was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the winning post.
It was reported after the race that OWN SCRIPT (Ahsan Qureshi) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
GREY HOUND (Rayan Ahmed R.) sustained superficial injury on right hind tendon.
VOLATILITY (David Allan) sustained superficial injury on right hind cannon.

3rdRace: 18. The Dr.K T B Menon Memorial Trophy - (About) 1200 meters. Horses rated 30 to 50 (14 Runners).
Jockey B. Nayak, the rider of SANTORINI SECRET was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming in and causing interference to AINE (A.R.Pradeep) and CALL ME MAYBE (V.R.Jagadeesh) which were travelling directly behind had to be checked by its rider approaching 600 Meters.
Jockey Sunil Samson, the rider of BLUES LEGEND was fined Rs.2,000/- for allowing his mount to drift out under the use of whip from the 400 Meters till about 250 Meters.
Jockey Aqeed Waheed, the rider of BACK IN A FLASH reported that his mount was not galloping fluently in the straight, as such he had stopped riding in the final 150 Meters of the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
Jockey Irvan Singh, the rider of MINT reported that his mount was hanging out in the final 250 Meters. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
SANTORINI SECRET (B. Nayak) sustained superficial injury on left hind cannon.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b c NOAHS ARK.
4th Race: 19. The Shapoorji Pallonji Oil And Gas Bangalore 2000 Guineas (Grade II) - (About) 1600 meters. 4-year-old Indian Horses (Foaled in 2014) (10 Runners).
Trainer Mr. Imtiaz Khan was fined Rs.5,000/- for the late submission of scratching form in respect of his charge NOSTRADAMUS for the above race.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of TUTANKHAMUN was reprimanded for shifting out and inconveniencing CAPO DE CAPI (P. Trevor) passing the 1500 Meters.
Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of TUTANKHAMUN reported that his mount accidentally struck the front runner AUTOMATIC (S. Zervan) approaching 1300 Meters. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On immediate examination the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have sustained superficial injury on right fore fetlock.
Compulsory samples were taken for analysis from the following I,II & III placed horses viz:

5th Race: 20. The Hoysala Plate - (About) 1200 meters. Horses rated 60 and above (11 Runners).
ANTANANARIVO (S. John) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Arjun Mangalorkar was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.
JUSTICE ANGEL (Suraj Narredu) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b r SHINING MAGIC.
6th Race: 21. The Badami Plate - (About) 1600 meters. Horses rated 15 to 35, 5 years old and over (14 Runners).
NYSSA (Arshad Alam) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced FREESTYLE (Neeraj Rawal) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
Jockey Jan'dhan Paswan, the rider of CZAR RULE was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing ONLY PRINCE (V.R.Jagadeesh) on his inside passing the 1000 Meters.
Jockey A.R.Pradeep, the rider of DEEPALIKA reported that he accidently lost his whip passing the 400 Meters.
Jockey A.R.Pradeep, the rider of DEEPALIKA was fined Rs.2,000/- for hitting the horse with his hands in the final 200 Meters when he had lost his whip.
Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of NYSSA reported that he accidently lost his whip passing the 150 Meters.
Jockey Jan'dhan Paswan, the rider of CZAR RULE was reprimanded for riding an indifferent race.
LOVE IS LIFE (Amyn Merchant) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m MISSION BLUE.
7th Race: 22. The Ranganathittu Plate - Div. I - (About) 1400 meters. Horses rated 15 to 35 (13 Runners).
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. M. P. Mahaesh to withdraw GOOD TIME INDEED (T. S. Jodha) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on left fore limb. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe replaced the indisposed Jockey Suraj Narredu on SHIVALIK CROWN.
MASTER OF WAR (Rayan Ahmed. R) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr.S. Dominic was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least one Mock Race.
Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of FREE PORT reported that his mount was inclined to run out between the 800 Meters till about 600 Meters in the process he inconvenienced the horses on his outside viz; AS GOOD AS IT GETS (A.R. Pradeep) and MASTER OF WAR (Rayan Ahmed. R). The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
Jockey Prashant P.Dhebe, the rider of SHIVALIK CROWN was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing ST PAULI GIRL (Neeraj Rawal) on his inside rounding the final bend.
Jockey S. Zervan, the rider of WONDERLUST reported that he did not get a clear run between 300 Meters to 150 Meters due to closely packed field.
ALIGHTING (Vivek) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
Jockey A.R. Pradeep, the rider of AS GOOD AS IT GETS was reprimanded for riding an indifferent race.
It was observed that FREE PORT (Arshad Alam) did not get a clear run in the final 50 Meters of the race.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f DAZZLING BEAUTY.

155. The Bangalore St. Leger(Grade II) - (About) 2800 meters. Indian Horses 4 Years old and over (Foaled in 2013 or before)
The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. at their meeting held on Saturday, 13th January, 2018 considered the report submitted by the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the detection of the drug Hydroxy-Xylazine (Class III) - prohibited substance in the urine sample taken from b g TOROROSSO after it placed second in Race No.155 of the Bangalore Summer Meeting 2017 i.e. The Bangalore St. Leger (Grade II) (About) 2800 metres, Horses 4 years old and over, run on Sunday 23rd July 2017. The Horse trained by Mr. Irfan Ghatala and owned by M/s. Vikram Singh and Nirmal Singh.
The Stewards of the Club examined trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala. After deliberations and considering all the mitigating circumstances, they decided to suspend the trainer license granted to Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala from 23rd January 2018 to 5th February 2018 (both days inclusive) and fine him a sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) for infringement of Medication Rules in respect of his charge b g TOROROSSO as contained in BTC Calendar Notification under the heading “Medication and treatment of horses in Training and Racing and Anti-Doping Control” reading as follows:
“The trainer is always responsible for the protection and security of the horse in his care. The trainers are warned that they will be held responsible if an examination of a horse, results in the finding of any prohibited substances”.
