Penetrometer Reading:    3.4 cms

False Rails: Railing fixed at average width of 5 Meters from 1600 Meters to winning post from its original position.

 

1st Race: 84. The Adichunchanagiri Plate - (About) 1600 metres. Horses rated 15 to 35, 6 years old and over (6 Runners).

It was observed that NOTOS (Arshad Alam) was very keen after travelling along the rails about 50 Metres from the start and since there was no room available the horse clipped the hind legs of ONLY PRINCE (Y. S. Srinath) stumbled thereby Jockey got totally unbalanced and was dislodged from his mount approaching 1400 Metres.

Trainer Mr. Imtiaz Khan was fined Rs.10,000/- for the relatively improved performance and unsatisfactory explanations tendered by him during the enquiry of the Stipendiary Stewards soon after the race in respect of his charge LOVE IS LIFE (Suraj Narredu) the winner of the above race as compared to its previous run in Race No.55 i.e., The Ghataprabha Plate about 1800 Meters, horses rated 15 to 35, 5 years old and over, run on 9th February,2018 when it ran unplaced.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g LOVE IS LIFE.

2nd Race: 85. The Mercara Plate - (About) 1100 metres. Horses rated 15 to 35 (11 Runners).

ZAFRINA (Vivek) was extremely fractious inside the gates, reared up and was stuck for a considerable period of time. On immediate examination, it was found to have sustained contussion on both elbow. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under starters order. Trainer Mr. K.P.G Appu was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

Jockey Kiran Rai P, the rider of LOVEISINTHEAIR was fined Rs.2,000/- for not improving his position from 1000 Metres till about 700 Metres.

AEROSPEED (Khurshad Alam) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped PANAMA (S. John) as a result Jockey Khurshad Alam lost his right stirrup, thereby he could not offer any assistance to his mount thereafter.

Jockey S. John, the rider of PANAMA was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting out and taking out the horses on his outside viz; IMPRIMATUR (Antony Raj S.), AMALFI COAST (Rajesh Kumar M)  and SMILE OF PEACE (T. S. Jodha) passing the 800 Metres.

Jockey D. Patel, the rider of HABANERO was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing COUNTRY’S PEARL (Sunil Samson) passing the 100 Metres.

FLICKA (A.Imran Khan) sustained superficial injury on right hind cannon.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f PANAMA.

3rd Race: 86. The Shivanasamudra Plate - (About) 1200 metres. Horses rated 00 to 20 (12 Runners).

Jockey Irvan Singh, the rider of ZIP CODE reported that he lost his right stirrup approaching 350 Meters which he regained within a few strides.

Jockey Sai Kiran, the rider of ALEEF reported that he accidently lost his whip approaching 350 Meters.

Jockey P. Mani, the rider of SANTE FE was fined Rs.2,000/- for not persevering with his mount soon after entering into the straight for about 50 Metres.

It was reported after the race that ALEEF (Sai Kiran) pulled up lame right fore. Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

It was reported after the race that ROMANTIC HAVEN (Jan'dhan Paswan) pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. Samar Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

It was reported after the race that EPONA (Rayan Ahmed.R) burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy Grade- IV at 6:05 p.m.). Trainer Mr. Sriram Komandur was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m PRINCESS HOLLY.

4th Race: 87. The B.A.R.I Plate - Div. I - (About) 1400 metres. Horses rated 30 to 50, 5 years old and over (11 Runners).

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh replaced the indisposed Jockey Arshad Alam on INDIAN LEGEND.

HIDDEN SOLDIER (Rajesh Kumar .M) was examined at the starting gate by the Club's Veterinary Officer and was found to be trotting lame on right fore. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V. was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

STERLING ROLE (Sunil Samson) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced the horses on his inside viz; NINON (Chethan Gowda) and REFERENCE (Irvan Singh) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

REFERENCE (Irvan Singh) accidentally stumbled approaching 900 Metres, whereby the rider got totally unbalanced and was dislodged from his mount.

Jockey Antony Raj S., the rider of GOODWILL WARRIOR was fined Rs.5,000/- for the improper and excessive use of whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

It was observed that Jockey S. John, the rider of BEYOND REACH had to steady his mount due to the crowding of the field passing the 800 Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m ROYAL SERENITY.

5th Race: 88. The Kanteerava Cup - (About) 1200 metres. Horses rated 60 and above (12 Runners).

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh replaced the indisposed Jockey Arshad Alam on SUPER SUCCESS.

Jockey Rayan Ahmed R., the rider of AMAZING REDD was fined Rs.5,000/- for tightening the horses on his inside viz; SUPER SUCCESS (V.R.Jagadeesh), PEARL REWARD (Chetan Kalay S.), SIDE WINDER (Syed Imran) and MICKEY MOUSE (S. John) before passing the red marker post.

 

 

 

Jockey Syed Imran, the rider of SIDE WINDER was fined Rs.5,000/- for coming in and causing severe interference to TZAR (T. S. Jodha)  and JUSTICE ANGEL (A. Imran Khan) which was travelling directly behind also had to be checked by its rider passing the 1000 Metres.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g CHINA ONE.

6th Race: 89. The Bangalore Juvenile Million(Grade III) - (About) 1400 metres. 3-year-old horses (foaled in 2015) (5 Runners).

Compulsory samples were taken for analysis from the following I,II & III placed horses viz:

7th Race: 90. The Srirangapatna Plate - (About) 1200 metres. Horses rated 15 to 35, 5 years old and over (10 Runners).

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar to withdraw PERFECT KING on veterinary grounds as it was found to be suffering from colic. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V. to withdraw LIKEAKNIFE (Rajesh Kumar M) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right fore due to sore shin. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

An objection was lodged by Jockey Sai Kiran, the rider of PERFECT HORIZON placed 2nd by the judge against Jockey Chethan Gowda, the rider of REGENCY GIRL placed 1st for "At the start of the race, the winner cut across me sharply and I was unbalanced and had to stop riding for a brief while which cost me a certain race". The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection.

An enquiry was held on 25th February, 2018 by the Stipendiary Stewards for the above race into the interference caused by Jockey Chethan Gowda on his mount REGENCY GIRL in that after travelling for 50 Metres from the start he shifted in onto ROCK STEADY (Rayan Ahmed.R) who received interference and in turn shifted ‘in’ onto PERFECT HORIZON (Sai Kiran) resulting in PERFECT HORIZON brushing the rails.

Jockey Chethan Gowda was interviewed by the Stipendiary Stewards. The Stipendiary Stewards after considering the submissions made by Jockey Chethan Gowda and after viewing the CCTV decided to charge Jockey Chethan Gowda for careless riding.

The Stipendiary Stewards thereafter suspended Jockey Chethan Gowda with effect from 7th March, 2018 upto 21st March, 2018 (both days inclusive) and as he had pleaded guilty of the charge under Rule No. 161 (i) of the BTC Rules of Racing for Careless Riding on his mount REGENCY GIRL (he is permitted to ride work and was informed of his right to appeal).

TUDOR PRINCE (Prashant P. Dhebe) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

An enquiry is being into the running and riding of WINGS OF FORTUNE trained by Mr.Narayana Gowda V. and ridden by Jockey Kiran Rai P in the above race.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m REGENCY GIRL.

 

 

8th Race: 91. The B A R I Plate - Div. II - (About) 1400 metres. Horses rated 30 to 50, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).

Jockey Jan'dhan Paswan replaced the indisposed Jockey Arshad Alam on MONTENEGRO.

It was observed that HAPPY DANCING (Sai Kiran) shied inwards onto BLUE BLAZER (A.Imran Khan) approaching 1100 Metres.

Jockey Ajeet Kumar, the rider of PARADISO reported that he lost his right stirrup soon after the start, as such he had to remove the left leg from the stirrup and thereby he could not offer any assistance to his mount thereafter.

Jockey Jan'dhan Paswan, the rider of MONTENEGRO reported that his mount was hanging out after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

ADMIRAL ONE (V.R.Jagadeesh) sustained superficial injury on right hind cannon.

POWERSCOURT (Mudassar Nazar) sustained superficial gum injuries.

It was reported after the race that HAPPY DANCING (Sai Kiran) burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy Grade- IV at 6:10 p.m.). Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g PRINCEAZEEM.
