RACING INCIDENTS

Going: Good

Penetrometer Reading: 4.3 cms

False Rails: Railing fixed at average width of 8 Meters from 1600 Meters to winning post from its original position.

1^st Race: 55. The Ghataprabha Plate - (About) 1800 metres. Horses rated 15 to 35, 5 years old and over (8 Runners).

NYSSA (Nazerul Alam) accidentally brushed the false rails passing the 900 Metres.

Jockey Sunil Samson, the rider of GOLDEN SUCCESS was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming 'in' and taking in MIDNIGHT SKY (Chethan Gowda) on his inside passing the 100 Metres.

Trainer Mr. S. Inayathulla was questioned regarding the inconsistent pattern of running his charge GOLDEN SUCCESS (Sunil Samson) as compared to its previous run in Race No. 53, i.e., The Krishna Raja Sagar Plate about 1200 Metres, horses rated 15 to 35, 5 years old and over run on 2nd February, 2018 when it ran unplaced.

The trainer stated that:

a) His filly was running after a setback in its previous run in race no. 53;

b) In the previous start his filly had received a very bad interference at the start, whereby the Jockey could not obtain the desired position to ride in the race and if not for the interference his charge would not have run a very poor race.

His explanations were noted.

Jockey Sunil Samson, the rider of GOLDEN SUCCESS was severely cautioned for making gesture after passing the winning post.

PROUDPRINCE (Vivek) was impounded for veterinary examination and was found to have sustained superficial injury on left for cannon.

FIND (S. John) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

LOVE IS LIFE (Y. S. Srinath) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch m GOLDEN SUCCESS.

2^nd Race: 56. The February Plate - (About) 1200 metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only (10 Runners).

BERGAMOT (Suraj Narredu) jumped awkwardly outwards.

Jockey Y. S. Srinath, the rider of DIAMOND RAYS reported that his mount slipped from its hind passing the 900 Metres.

Jockey Vivek, the rider of PHOENIX REACHED had to steady his mount in anticipation passing the 300 Metres.

Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of BERGAMOT reported that his whip got entangled in the reins passing the 150 Metres.

Jockey V.R.Jagadeesh, the rider of DESPERADO reported that his mount was running green in the straight, whereby it shifted in and inconvenienced FLAT OUT (Ryan Marshall) on his inside passing the 100 Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported for lameness. However, horse was non co-operative for examination on mouth and endoscopy.

DIAMOND RAYS (Y. S. Srinath) sustained superficial injury on left hind cannon.

BERGAMOT (Suraj Narredu) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b c DIAMOND RAYS.

3^rd Race: 57. The Talakadu Plate - Div. I - (About) 1400 metres. Horses rated 15 to 35 (12 Runners).

GOOD TIME INDEED (Harish B.) after jumping out reared up whereby Jockey got totally unbalanced, dislodging its rider and ran rider less thereafter. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. M. P. Mahaesh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least one Mock Race.

SHAMSADAS GIRL (Y. S. Srinath) stumbled soon after jumping out of the starting gates.

It was observed that HAFNIUM (S.K.Paswan) was galloping very fiercely between the 1100 Metres till about 900 Metres, whereby DYNAMISM (Imran Chisty) which was travelling along side shied away and ran out.

It was observed that in a closely packed field AMAZONITE (Nazerul Alam) had to check his mount to avoid striking the front runner and shifted in whereby BOLD MOVE (Sahanawaz) which was travelling directly behind had to check his mount totally unbalancing the rider. As the incident was accidental no action was taken beyond noting the incident.

DANCING DRAGON (P. Trevor) sustained superficial injury on right gaskin.

HAFNIUM (S.K.Paswan) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g DANCING DRAGON.

4^th Race: 58. The Ullal Beach Plate - (About) 1200 metres. Horses rated 00 to 20(Whips not allowed) (12 Runners).

Jockey Md.Akram, the rider of SKYBOUND was severely reprimanded for exulting before passing the winning post.

It was reported after the race that SHIVALIK'S RULE (Chethan Gowda) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. M. P. Mahaesh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

It was reported after the race that CALICO STAR (S Imran) pulled lame on left fore. Trainer Mr.Hidayat Khan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

GALENO (Shamaz Shareef) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

An enquiry was held on 11^th February, 2018 by the Stipendiary Stewards for the above race into the interference caused by Jockey Nazerul Alam on his mount SECRET PRAYER in that he shifted in passing the 900 Metres and caused severe interference to CALICO STAR (S. Imran) and MOONLILGHT LOVE (Sunil Samson) on his inside.

Jockey Nazerul Alam was interviewed by the Stipendiary Stewards. The Stipendiary Stewards after considering the submissions made by Jockey Nazerul Alam and after viewing the CCTV decided to charge Jockey Nazerul Alam for careless riding.

The Stipendiary Stewards thereafter suspended Jockey Nazerul Alam with effect from 22^nd February, 2018 upto 24^th February, 2018 (both days inclusive) and as he had pleaded guilty of the charge under Rule No. 161 (i) of the BTC Rules of Racing for Careless Riding on his mount SECRET PRAYER (he is permitted to ride work and was informed of his right to appeal).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g SKYBOUND.

5^th Race: 59. The Karnataka Police Trophy - (About) 1200 metres. Horses rated 30 to 50 (11 Runners).

HANKO (Imran Chisty) was examined at the starting gate by the Club's Veterinary Officer and was found to be trotting lame on left hind. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. Sandhu G. was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

AUSTRALIS (Suraj Narredu) planted, lost many lengths and ran detached thereafter. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr.S. Narredu was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least two Mock Races.

SPOT LIGHT (A.Imran Khan) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr.S. Ganapathy was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a jump out on a starting gate practice day.

It was observed that Jockey M. Noornabi, the rider of RACING FIRE had to steady his mount and shift out approaching 900 Metres whereby NOAHS ARK (P. Trevor) which was travelling directly behind had to be checked by its rider.

It was reported after the race that LAWRENCE OF ARABIA (David Allan) burst its blood vessels and was found to have sustained superficial injury on left hind cannon. Trainer Mr. S. Padmanabhan was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

DONNA ROSSA (S. John) sustained superficial injury on right hind pastern.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g AEISIR.

6^th Race: 60. The Sprinters Trail Stakes(Grade III) - (About) 1200 metres. 4 years old and over. (9 Runners).

Jockey V.R.Jagadeesh, the rider of SAVANNAH SOUND was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing BOLD COMMAND (A.Imran Khan) on his inside along the rails approaching 700 Metres.

Compulsory samples were taken for analysis from the following I,II & III placed horses viz:

7^th Race: 61. The Talakadu Plate - Div. II - (About) 1400 metres. Horses rated 15 to 35 (10 Runners).

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr.Faraz Arshad to withdraw NO LIMITES (R. Manjunath)on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on left fore. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

DAUPHINE (Imran Chisty) reared up and fell down in the paddock. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Trainer Mr.Dheeraj. V was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

WINX (V.R.Jagadeesh) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced SECURING SMILES (Sai Kiran) soon after jumping of the starting gates.

Jockey V.R.Jagadeesh, the rider of WINX reported that his mount was running green throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Jockey Adarsh G., the rider of ULTIMATE POWER reported that his mount was hanging 'in' after entering the straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

An enquiry is being held into the post race formalities by Trainer Mr. Prithviraj .B as regards his charge BROOKLYN SUPREME.
