1st Race: 124. The Kitty Bank Plate - (About) 1400 metres. Maiden Horses 3 years old only. (11 Runners).

BOND OF TRUST (B. Nayak) was extremely fractious in the saddling enclosure whereby it reared up, fell over and was found to have sustained injury on left knee and left hock. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Trainer Mr. S. Britto was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

SADAQAT (A. Sandesh) sustained superficial injury on left hind blub.

TURF PROSPECTOR (Antony Raj.S) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b f TIC TAC IPSY TIPSY.

2nd Race: 125. The Virajpet Plate - (About) 1100 metres. Horses rated 00 to 20 (8 Runners).

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Nityanand G. to withdraw PRINCESS PRIDE (P. Trevor) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on left fore due to sprained shoulder. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Imtiaz Khan to withdraw NOSTRADAMUS (Arshad Alam) on veterinary grounds as it was found to have sustained injury on left knee and left hock. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

GIFT OF PARADISE (Sunil Samson) was extremely fractious, reared up and flipped over in the gates and sat down for a considerable period of time. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's order.

RIGELRAY (Ramesh Kumar N) was extremely fractious and refused to be stalled. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's order.

BOLD ALLIANCE (Syed Imran) planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. M.P. Mahaesh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least one Mock Race.

 

BOLD ALLIANCE (Syed Imran) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

It was reported after the race that COUNTRY’S PEARL (Neeraj Rawal) pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

It was reported after the race that INTERNAL AFFAIR (Rajesh Kumar.M) was found to have Epiglottic Entrapment (Endoscopy). Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda.V was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g TIC TAC TOE.

3rd Race: 126. The Western Ghats Plate - (About) 1400 metres. Horses rated 15 to 35, 5 years old and over (11 Runners).

Jockey Chetan Kalay S replaced the indisposed Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh on REVERBERATING.

AS GOOD AS IT GETS (S. Mubarak) was examined at the starting gate by the Club's Veterinary Officer and was found to be trotting lame on right fore. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

It was observed that LIKEAKNIFE (Rajesh Kumar M) gradually dropped back and ran detached from 1100 Metres till about the last 100 Metres. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that it was found to have pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V. was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. 

Jocke K. Raja Rao, the rider of FIRING LINE was fined Rs.5,000/- for not making sufficient effort on his mount during the race.

Jockey P. Ramesh, the rider of FIRST STEP was fined Rs.3,000/- for not sufficiently persevering with his mount in the last 300 Metres.

It was reported after the race that FREESTYLE (Nazerul Alam) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr.Faraz Arshad was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

FIRST STEP (P. Ramesh) was impounded for veterinary examination and was found to have sustained superficial injury on right hind bulb.

FIRING LINE (K. Raja Rao) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b h NOBLE SAPPHIRE.

 

 

 

4th Race: 127. The Silicon Valley Plate - Div. II - (About) 1200 metres. Horses rated 15 to 35 (11 Runners).

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. S. Dominic to withdraw ROCK STEADY on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on left fore due to sprained knee. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

GOLDEN ROSE (Ajeet Kumar) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced the horses on its outside viz; OPTIMISTICAPPROACH (Vivek) and ALL SAID AND DONE (Adarsh G.) soon after the start.

ALL SAID AND DONE (Adarsh G.) ran detached from the field. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported. However,Trainer Mr. V.Lokanath was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

GOLDEN ROSE (Ajeet Kumar) jumped awkwardly outwards, did not raise a fluent gallop and ran detached from the field. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and it was found to have pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. Narayana Gowda V. was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

CELESTIAL STORM (Chethan Gowda) sustained superficial injury on right hind bulb.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g OPTIMISTICAPPROACH.

 5th Race: 128. The Sprint Challenge Trophy - (About) 1200 metres. 4 years old and over. (6 Runners).

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Rajesh Narredu to withdraw ROYAL SERENITY (Neeraj Rawal) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be suffering from fever. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

KHAYYAM (Adarsh G.) planted and lost many lengths at the start. The rider lost his left stirrup after jumping out and had to ride without the aid of the equipment throughout the race. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. V. Lokanath was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least one Mock Race.

SHIVALIK STAR (Mudassar Nazar) sustained superficial injury on right hind cannon.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m PEARL CITY.

6th Race: 129. The Holi Feast Cup - (About) 1600 metres. Horses rated 45 to 65 (12 Runners).

Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of STAR CRACKER reported that his mount was not galloping fluently during the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

It was observed that ERDEMIR (Sunil Samson) was inclined to run out between 800 Metres till about the 600 Metres.

COLD FRONTIER (S. John) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Surprise sample was taken for analysis b g STAR CRACKER.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b g ULTIMATE WARRIOR.

7th Race: 130. The Silicon Valley Plate - Div. I - (About) 1200 metres. Horses rated 15 to 35 (12 Runners).

AEROSPEED (Ajeet Kumar) jumped awkwardly outwards and forced out TURF SPIRIT (S.Mubarak) on its outside soon after the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Rajesh Narredu was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in at least one Mock Race.

Jockey Md.Akram, the rider of BREAKING AWAY was fined Rs.3,000/- for not sufficiently persevering with his mount during the race.

Jockey Rajesh Kumar M, the rider of PRINCESS HOLLY was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting ‘in’ under the use of whip and causing interference to AINE (Sunil Samson)  on his inside passing the 350 Metres.

TURF SPIRIT (S.Mubarak) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g HABANERO.

NINTH DAY, SUNDAY, 11TH FEBRUARY 2018

 

62. The Chamundi Hills Cup - (About) 1100 metres. Horses rated 15 to 35, 6 years old and over.

 

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Sai Kiran.P, the rider of A CROWN for Unsatisfactory riding, [Rule No. 161 (ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing] in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race on Friday, 16th March, 2018 and examined Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar and Jockey Sai Kiran P.  After deliberations, the Stewards decided that should Jockey Sai Kiran be granted a Jockeys license for the year 2018-19 the same shall stand suspended from 19-5-2018 to 3-6-2018 (both days inclusive) for Unsatisfactory Riding [Rule No. 161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing] on his mount A CROWN in the above race (permitted to ride work).

 

TENTH DAY, FRIDAY, 16TH FEBRUARY 2018

 

71. The Manipal Plate - Div. II - (About) 1200 metres. Horses rated 15 to 35.

 

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Indrajeet Singh, the rider of  STRIKING GREY for Incompetent riding, [Rule No. 161 (ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing] in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race on Friday, 16th March, 2018 and examined Trainer Mr. Azhar Ali and Jockey Indrajeet Singh.  After deliberations, the Stewards decided that should Jockey Indrajeet Singh be granted a Jockeys license for the year 2018-19 the same shall stand suspended from 19-5-2018 to 27-5-2018 (both days inclusive)  for Incompetent Riding [Rule No. 161(ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing] on his mount  STRIKING GREY in the above race (permitted to ride work).

 

FOURTEENTH DAY, SATURDAY,  10TH MARCH 2018

 

104. The Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar Memorial Trophy - (About) 1200 metres. Horses rated 75 and above.

 

An enquiry was held on 22nd March, 2018 by the Stipendiary Stewards for the above race into the interference caused by  Jockey Y.S. Srinath on his mount LIGHTNING STRIKES in that while negotiating the final bend he shifted out, forced out and interfered with  CASTLE KEY (S. John) who in turn forced out JUSTICE ANGEL (P.S. Chouhan).

 

Jockey Y.S. Srinath was interviewed by the Stipendiary Stewards. The Stipendiary Stewards after considering the submissions made by Jockey Y.S. Srinath and after viewing the CCTV reply decided to charge Jockey Y.S. Srinath for Careless riding.

 

The Stipendiary Stewards thereafter decided to fine Jockey Y.S. Srinath a sum of Rs.20,000/- as he had pleaded guilty of the charge under Rule No. 161 (i) of the BTC Rules of Racing for Careless riding on his mount LIGHTNING STRIKES (he informed of his right to appeal).
