An objection was lodged by Jockey P. S. Chouhan (JUSTICE ANGEL) the rider of placed 4th by the judge against Jockey Y. S. Srinath (LIGHTNING STRIKES) placed 3rd for "In the final turn LIGHTNING STRIKES shifted from the railing and knocked the horse along side him which in turn was a chain reaction on to me whereby 1 cost more than 2 lengths which me a certain place". The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the Jockeys concerned. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection.
