An enquiry is being held into the interference caused by Jockey Chetan Kalay S on his mount BROOKLYN SUPREME SUPREME in that he continuously came ‘in' soon after the start and caused severe interference to LAWRENCE OF ARABIA (A. Sandesh), which in turn passed it onto RAW GOLD (Vivek) whereby Jockey Vivek had to check his mount and fall back passing the 1300 Metres. Thereafter for again shifted ‘in' and tightened the horses on his inside viz; LAWRENCE OF ARABIA (A. Sandesh) and WILD WILD ANGELS (R.Praveen Shinde) passing the 1200 Metres. Jockey Chetan Kalay.S was interviewed by the Stipendiary Stewards. The Stipendiary Stewards after considering the submissions made by Jockey Chetan Kalay.S and after viewing the CCTV decided to charge Jockey Chetan Kalay.S for careless riding. The Stipendiary Stewards thereafter suspended the Jockey''s Licence granted to Chetan Kalay.S with effect from 4th March, 2019 to 22nd March, 2019 (both days inclusive) and fined a sum of Rs.10,000/- as he had pleaded guilty of the charge under Rule No. 161 (i) of the BTC Rules of Racing for Careless Riding on his mount BROOKLYN SUPREME (he is permitted to ride work and informed of his right to appeal). The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Jockey A.Imran Khan replaced the indisposed Jockey Imran Chisty on ALBERETTA.
