The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their meeting held on Thursday, 27th February, 2020 considered the test report received from The Quanti Lab, Mauritius, pertaining to the analysis of the urine sample taken from b.m. SHIVALIK SHOW (trained by Mr. Azhar Ali) which had shown the presence of PHENYLBUTAZONE and OXYPHENBUTAZONE (Class- IV) prohibited substance – the sample of which was taken after the said horse placed First in the above race.

The Stewards noted the following:

The trainer/owner were given the option of sending the split sample of the urine for confirmatory analysis. The trainer vide his letter dated 26th February, 2020 informed the Club that he did not wish to exercise the above option of sending the split sample to The Horseracing Forensic Laboratory, New Market, U.K. or Hong Kong Jockey Club, Hong Kong.

Therefore, the Stewards decided to disqualify the horse b.m. SHIVALIK SHOW from the above race and revise the order of placings as under:-
