Jockey Chethan Gowda (POWER OF SHAMBHALA) was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting 'in' and causing interference to HIGH PRIESTESS (David Allan), which in turn passed it onto TRACK STRIKER (Y. S. Srinath) on his inside passing the 900 Metres  and also Jockey Chethan Gowda reported that he accidentally lost his whip approaching 100 Meters.

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd., at their meeting held on Thursday, 27th February, 2020 considered the test report received from The Quanti Lab, Mauritius, pertaining to the analysis of the urine sample taken from ch g HUNTERS MOON (trained by Mr. Neil B. Devaney) which had shown the presence of DIISOPROPYLAMINE (Class- III) prohibited substance – the sample of which was taken after the said horse placed First in the above race.

The Stewards noted the following:

The trainer/owner were given the option of sending the split sample of the urine for confirmatory analysis. The trainer vide his letter dated 26th February, 2020 informed the Club that he did not wish to exercise the above option of sending the split sample to The Horseracing Forensic Laboratory, New Market, U.K. or Hong Kong Jockey Club, Hong Kong.

Therefore, the Stewards decided to disqualify the horse ch g HUNTERS MOON from the above race and revise the order of placings as under:-

An enquiry was held on 31st January, 2020 by the Stipendiary Stewards for the above race where Jockey Shamaz Shareef, the rider of WHIZZO shifted out sharply under use of whip and caused severe interference to POSEIDON (Darshan R.N) , which in turn passed it onto MOHICAN (Nazerul Alam) on his outside passing the 200 Metres.

Jockey Shamaz Shareef was interviewed by the Stipendiary Stewards. The Stipendiary Stewards after considering the submissions made by Jockey Shamaz Shareef. After viewing the CCTV they decided to charge Jockey Shamaz Shareef for Careless Riding Rule No. 161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing.

The Stipendiary Stewards thereafter suspended Jockey Shamaz Shareef with effect from 10th February, 2020 to 27th February, 2020 (both days inclusive) as he had pleaded guilty of the charge for Careless Riding Rule No. 161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount WHIZZO. (He is permitted to ride work and was informed of his right to appeal).

Jockey Mohd Asif Khan (ALEEF) reported that his mount was not galloping fluently after entering the straight and the horse was subjected to veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

BLUEJACK (V.R.Jagadeesh) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate.

BOLD MOVE (R. Vaibhav) was withdrawn on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right fore. Trainer was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate.
