An enquiry was held on 18/12/2022 by the Stipendiary Steward for the above race with respect to the riding of Jockey Chandrashekar .M, the rider of THE GREY GERANIUM in the above race “Wherein he allowed his mount to travel wide from 800 Metres till about 500 Metres for no apparent reason and for not infusing adequate vigour in riding out his mount in the final 400 Metres.”
Jockey Chandrashekar .M was interviewed by the Stipendiary Steward. The Stipendiary Steward after considering the submissions made by Jockey Chandrashekar .M and after viewing the CCTV decided to charge Jockey Chandrashekar .M for Incompetent Riding.
The Stipendiary Steward thereafter suspended the Jockey’s Licence granted to Chandrashekar .M with effect from 28-12-2022 to 31-12-2022 (Both days inclusive) for Incompetent Riding under Rule No. 161 (ii) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount THE GREY GERANIUM (he is permitted to ride work) and was informed of his right to appeal and the horse was subjected to veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
