1st Race : 9. The Karighatta Plate-Div.II-(About) 1400 Metres.
Horses rated 25 and below (10 Runners)
ARYANSH (Vivek) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped SPARK OF ZEAL (G.Y. Rajesh Babu) on its outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
SPARK OF ZEAL (G.Y. Rajesh Babu) did not raise a fluent gallop during the early stages of the race. Trainer Mr. S. Ravi Shanker was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one jump out on a starting gate practice day.
The Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that on examination after the race it was observed that the right fore shoe of HALO OF SPLENDOUR (H.G. Rathod) had apparently splayed during the race.
Jockey Vivek, the rider ARYANSH, reported that his mount was inclined to run out throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported. However, trainer Mr. Vishal Yadav was informed to get it checked by his veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
Jockey Vijay Kumar, the rider of TROPICAL FLYER, reported that his mount was hanging out in the straight despite of his best efforts to keep it on an even course. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. After examination of the mouth the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that it was observed to have sharp molars. Trainer Mr. M. Bobby was fined Rs.2,000/- for his negligence.
Jockey H.G. Rathod, the rider of HALO OF SPLENDOUR reported that his mount was hanging out in the straight and eventually finished the course on the outer sand track. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and no abnormality was reported. However, trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde was informed to get it checked by his veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of WHISPER VALLEY, was reprimanded for dropping his hands before passing the winning post.
Jockey Gaurav Sapra, the rider of WHISPER VALLEY, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
DO THE MUSIC (A. Ashok Kumar) sustained cut injury on right stifle.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b m WHISPER VALLEY.
2nd Race : 10. The Mysore Plate – (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (9 Runners).
MAJESTIC STRIDES (B. Mahesh) was slowly away, swerved towards the left and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. C.D. Monnappa was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
LEATHER QUEEN (D. Mahendran) sustained puncture wound on left fore outer cannon.
An enquiry is held in to the running and riding of MISS RUBY trained by Mr. S. Ravi Shanker and ridden by Jockey A. Ashok Kumar.
3rd Race : 11. The Karighatta Plate-Div.I-(About) 1400 Metres.
Horses rated 25 and below (10 Runners)
Trainer Mr. Bipin V Salvi was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge WINNING TALE (Ladjadj Stephane). Subsequently `All Black’ emergency colours were permitted to be used.
SPARK OF SYMPHONY (G.Y. Rajesh Babu) accidentally brushed the false rails approaching the 100 Metres.
Jockey Melvyn Maseyk, the rider of KILLER FOOT, was fined Rs.2,000/- for taking an unduly long lead between the 1000 Metres and 500 Metres for no apparent reason.
Jockey Melvyn Maseyk, the rider of KILLER FOOT, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not exercising sufficient control over his mount thereby allowing it to drift out during the final stages of the race.
STCKIEWICKETDOTCOM (G. Adarsh) sustained a cut injury on right hind pastern.
PROWL KING (D. Mahendran) sustained cut injury on right hind coronet.
4th Race : 12. The Beloved Prince Pate (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 80 and above (6 Runners).
Jockey Shadab Khan, the rider of DANGER DIABOLIC, reported that his mount was lugging in under pressure in the final 50 Metres of the race.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g NECTAR JEWEL.
5th Race : 13. The J.K. Van Ingen Memorial Gold Cup-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 5 years old and over (12 Runners).
Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner gr g GRIS RAPIDE.
6th Race : 14. The Trombay Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (10 Runners).
As Jockey M. Suresh was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. Bipin V Salvi to substitute Jockey J. Paswan to ride STAR OF EXCELLENCE in place of the declared rider.
Jockey Noorulla, the rider of BRIANNSTA, was fined Rs.3,000/- for not making sufficient effort on his mount during the race. He was further informed in the presence of trainer Mr. S. Ravi Shanker that repetition of similar manner of riding would entail him being reported to the Stewards for severe disciplinary action.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m BEAUTY ON DUTY.
7th Race : 15. The Melukote Plate (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (11 Runners).
Trainer Mr. Bipin V Salvi was fined Rs.10,000/- for his negligence in accepting his charge SIMPLY DANGEROUS (J. Pradeep) to run in the above race without obtaining a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer when he had been specifically advised to do so. Subsequently the horse was permitted to be withdrawn from the above race.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Bipin V Salvi to substitute Jockey J. Paswan to ride AMAZING FLORA in place of the declared rider.
AMAZING FLORA (J. Paswan) took a fly jump.
It was reported after the race that RAGING STAR (A.R. Mani) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Z. Darashah was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

However, trainer Mr. S. Ravi Shanker was informed to get it checked by his veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
