1st Race : 16. The Sondur Plate - (About) 1400 Metres.
Horses rated 25 and below, 5 years old and over (10 Runners)
As Jockey B. Sreekanth was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. P.C. Tejaswi to substitute Jockey D. Mahendran to ride NEW PASTURES in place of the declared rider.
The saddle of SPARK OF SYMPHONY (G.Y. Rajesh Babu) shifted back passing the 200 Metres. After due examination of the equipment Trainer Mr. S. Ravi Shanker was fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling.
2nd Race : 17. The Kaginele Plate – (About) 1200 Metres.
Horses rated 25 and below (12 Runners)
MAGIC WIND (Md. Sameer) planted and did not take part in the race. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. C.D. Monnappa was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in two Mock Races on race days on the race track.
Jockey P. Mani, the rider of ACTOR, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and bumping QUINNIE (Noorulla) which in turn passed it on to KILLER FOOT (Vivek) on his inside approaching the 1000 Metres.
The Stipendiary Stewards reported trainer Mr. R. Mallikarjuna to the Stewards for his negligence in discharge of his duties as a trainer in respect of his charge STERLINGSNIP (Rule No.114 of BTC Rules of Racing). In that a) he used leather padding on the hind legs of the horse without prior permission, b) fastened the same with cello tape and c) over this tied the bandage so loose with the result it got unfastened during the race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and examined trainer Mr. R. Mallikarjuna. After deliberations, they decided to fine trainer Mr. R. Mallikarjuna Rs.10,000/- for his negligence in discharge of his duties as a trainer in respect of his charge STERLINGSNIP (Rule No.114 of BTC Rules of Racing) in the above race.
3rd Race : 18. The Kolar Plate-Div.II-(About) 1400 Metres.
Horses rated 40 to 65 (9 Runners).
VERTEX (H.G. Rathod) dropped the rider on way to the Starting Gates whereby the rider was injured and certified medically unfit to ride . Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starters order.
HAKUNA MATATA (S. Chandrashekar) stumbled approaching the 1000 metres whereby the rider got unbalanced and was dislodged from his mount. WORLD IS TOOMUCH (K.P.G. Appu) which was traveling directly behind on the outside had to be checked by its rider to avoid running over the prostrated rider and shifted out thereby losing ground approaching the 900 Metres. As a result CHAMPIONS LEAGUE which was moving from behind also had to be checked by its rider.
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g MR HURRICANE.
4th Race : 19. The Kolar Plate-Div.I-(About) 1400 Metres.
Horses rated 40 to 65 (10 Runners).
Trainer Mr. C.V.G.K. Kishore was fined Rs.10,000/- for his negligence in accepting his charge KING OF HABASHE to run in the above race without obtaining a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer when he had been specifically advised to do so. Subsequently the horse was permitted to be withdrawn from the above race.
JEDI KNIGHT (B. Mahesh) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. J. Sharavanan was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
Jockey S.R. Santosh Kumar, the rider of MAGICAL. SPIRIT was fined Rs.2,000/- for not making sufficient effort to improve his position till rounding the final bend.
SAPTASHWA (M.Mark) sustained a cut injury on right stifle
Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner dk b m HIDDEN PLEASURES.
5th Race : 20. The F.B. Sharma Memorial Gold Cup-(About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 5 years old and over (9 Runners).
Trainer Mr. C.D. Monnappa was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge BREED APART (S. Mubarak). Subsequently `all black” emergency colours were permitted to be used.
SWISS CHOCOLATE (Vijay Kumar) stopped after jumping out, did not gallop fluently for some time and ran detached till 500 Metres. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. Md. Sajid Qureshi was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track and one jump out on a starting gate practice day.
Jockey B. Mahesh, the rider of TIME IS PRECIOUS, reported that he lost his right stirrup passing the 300 Metres.
Jockey Shanth Kumar, the rider of ROYAL LIASON was fined Rs.2,000/- for not persevering with his mount during the race.
Jockey Vijay Kumar, the rider of SWISS CHOCOLATE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
CASINO ROYAL (D Mahendran) sustained clipped injury on left hind cannon.
Routine sample was taken for analysis from the winner b m TIME IS PRECIOUS.
6th Race : 21. The Prince Regent Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde to substitute Jockey D. Mahendran to ride SUAVE in place of jockey H G Rathod the declared rider.
Trainer Mr. Bipin V Salvi was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge SUNSHOWER (Mohammed Shoaib). Subsequently `all black” emergency colours were permitted to be used.
Trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge SUAVE (D. Mahendran). Subsequently `all black” emergency colours were permitted to be used.
Jockey Mohammed Shoaib, the rider of SUNSHOWER, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to CLASSIC CONCEPT (V.R. Jagdeesh) on his inside approaching the 1200 Metres.
SUNSHOWER (Mohammed Shoaib) sustained a clipped injury on right hind fetlock.
7th Race : 22. The Nagamangala Plate (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above(12 Runners).
Trainer Mr. J. Sharavanan was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge ARROW OF LIGHT. Subsequently `all black” emergency colours were permitted to be used.
Trainer Mr. M. Bobby was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge TINA’S TRIUMPH. Subsequently `all black” emergency colours were permitted to be used.
Trainer Mr.Rakesh was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge WILD TEMPER (J. Paswan). Subsequently `all black” emergency colours were permitted to be used.
Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Dinesh Pujar to substitute Jockey D. Mahendran to ride CHIEF DE MISSION in place of jockey H.G.Rathod the declared rider.
PERFECT BOND (G.Y. Rajesh Babu) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped ANSONIA (S. Mubarak) soon after jumping out of the starting gates.
Jockey Vikram Jodha, the rider of INDIA SHINING, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and bumping TINA’S TRIUMPH (Deep Shankar ) on his inside approaching the 1000 Metres.
Jockey A. Ashhad Asbar, the rider of SNAP DRAGON, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and bumping INDIA SHINING (Vikram Jodha) on his inside approaching the 300 Metres.
It was reported after the race that SNAP DRAGON (A. Ashhad Asbar) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. Pratap M Kamath was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Trainer Mr. Vikram Appachu was fined Rs.5,000/- for using unlicensed riding boys in the morning track work. He was further cautioned that repetition of similar incident would entail him being reported to the Stewards for severe disciplinary action.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Afsar Khan, the rider of WISE WORDS to the Stewards for contravention of Rule NO.159(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry on Thursday, 27th May 2010 and examined trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde and Jockey Afsar Khan. After due deliberations, they decided to (a) suspend the Jockey’s licence granted to Jockey Afsar Khan from 10-6-2010 to 4-8-2010 and from 19-8-2010 to 31-8-2010 and should his Jockey’s Licence be extended beyond 31-8-2010 the same shall remain suspended from 1-9-2010 to 24-10-2010 and not permitted to ride work during the period of suspension of his Jockey’s Licence, for contravention of Rule No.159(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing in that as a rider of b g WISE WORDS he did not take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure that his horse was given full opportunity to win or to obtain on best possible place in the field; and (b) note the explanations tendered by trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde

The Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on Thursday, 27th May 2010, considered the report of the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the inconsistent running and the resultant reversal of form of ch m MUSICAL SIGNATURE (S. Chandrashekar – trained by Mr. C.V.G.K. Kishore), the winner of this race as compared to its previous runs in Race No.88, The Trigger Cup-(About) 1400 Metres, for horses rated 25 and below, 6 year old and over on 12th January 2010 when ridden by Jockey Afsar Khan, it won the race and in Race No.105, The Ajantha Plate-(About) 1400 Metres, for horses rated 25 and below run on 27th January 2010 when ridden by Jockey Afsar Khan it ran unplaced (Rule No.25). They examined Trainer Mr. C.V.G.K. Kishore.
After deliberations, they decided to fine trainer Mr. C.V.G.K. Kishore Rs.10,000/- for the inconsistent running and the resultant reversal of form of his charge ch m MUSICAL SIGNATURE (S. Chandrashekar), the winner of this race as compared to its previous runs in Race No.88, The Trigger Cup-(About) 1400 Metres, for horses rated 25 and below, 6 year old and over on 12th January 2010 when ridden by Jockey Afsar Khan, it won the race and in Race No.105, The Ajantha Plate-(About) 1400 Metres, for horses rated 25 and below run on 27th January 2010 when ridden by Jockey Afsar Khan it ran unplaced (Rule No.25).

The Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on Thursday, 27th May 2010, considered the report of the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the unsatisfactory riding (Rule No.161(ii)) of Jockey M. Suresh on his mount ACTIVISTO in the above race (trained by Mr. Ranjeet Shinde). They examined trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde and Jockey M. Suresh.
After deliberations, they decided to (a) suspend Jockey’s Licence granted to Jockey M. Suresh from 10-6-2010 to 27-6-2010 (both days inclusive) for unsatisfactory riding (Rule No.161 (ii)) on his mount b g ACTIVISTO in the above race (permitted to ride work); and (b) note the explanations tendered by trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde.

They examined trainer Mr. Md. Sajid Qureshi.
After deliberations, they decided to fine trainer Mr. Md. Sajid Qureshi Rs.10,000/- for the inconsistent running and the resultant reversal of form of his charge ch m EXPENSIVE AFFAIR (Noorulla), the winner of this race as compared to its performance in Race No.103, The Nicolette Plate-(About) 1200 Metres, for horses rated 40 to 65 of the Mysore Winter Races 2009-2010 held on 22nd January 2010 when ridden by Jockey Melvyn Maseyk it ran unplaced (Rule No.25).

The Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on Thursday, 27th May, 2010, considered the report of the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the use of mobile phone by jockey Ashan Qureshi prior to the above race thereby violating the Stewards instructions under the heading “Mobile Phones”. They examined jockey Ashan Qureshi.
After deliberations, they decided to suspend the Jockey’s licence granted to Jockey Ashan Qureshi from 10-6-2010 to 19-6-2010 (both days inclusive) for use of mobile phone prior to the above race thereby violating the Stewards instructions under the heading “Mobile Phones” (permitted to ride work).

They examined Jockey Noorulla.
After deliberations, they decided to suspend the Jockey’s licence granted to Jockey Noorulla from 10-6-2010 to 13-6-2010 (both days inclusive) for the excessive use of the whip (3rd Infringement) by Jockey Noorulla on his mount b m FEEL MY HEART in the above race thereby contravening the BTC Calendar Notification under the heading “Use of Whip”. The Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on Thursday, 27th May 2010, considered the report of the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the inconsistent running and the resultant reversal of form of DUTCH HERO (Melvyn Maseyk – trained by Mr. T. Nataraj), the convincing winner of the above race as compared to its previous run in Race No.110, The Vijayawada Plate-(About) 1200 Metes, for horses rated 20 to 45, on 27th January 2010 of Mysore Winter Races 2009-2010 when ridden by Jockey J. Paswan it ran Fourth (Rule No.25). They examined trainer Mr. T. Nataraj.
After deliberations, they decided to fine trainer Mr. T. Nataraj Rs.20,000/- for the inconsistent running and the resultant reversal of form of b g DUTCH HERO (Melvyn Maseyk – trained by Mr. T. Nataraj), the convincing winner of the above race as compared to its previous run in Race No.110, The Vijayawada Plate-(About) 1200 Metes, for horses rated 20 to 45, on 27th January 2010 of Mysore Winter Races 2009-2010 when ridden by Jockey J. Paswan it ran Fourth (Rule No.25).

The Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on Thursday, 27th May 2010, considered the report of the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the riding of b g OUR LANCER by Jockey M. Madhu Babu with particular reference to the complaint lodged by trainer Mr. Rakesh. They examined trainer Mr. Rakesh and Jockey M. Madhu Babu.
After deliberations, they decided to (a) note the explanations tendered by trainer Mr. Rakesh; and (b) accept the explanations tendered by Jockey M. Madhu Babu.

Wrong Track Number
The Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on Thursday, 27th May 2010, considered the report of the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the wrong saddle cloth used by trainer Mr. Rakesh on his charge b g WILD TEMPER in the morning track work on 2nd February 2010 thereby violating the BTC Racing Calendar Notification under the heading “Carrying of Identification Saddle Cloth with Numbers on Horses on the Tracks or any part of the premises of the Race Course”. They examined trainer Mr. Rakesh.
After deliberations, they decided to suspend the trainer’s licence granted to trainer Mr. Rakesh from 10-6-2010 to 4-8-2010 (both days inclusive) and from 19-8-2010 to 23-9-2010 (both days inclusive) for violating the BTC Racing Calendar Notification under the heading “Carrying of Identification Saddle Cloth with Numbers on Horses on the Tracks or any part of the premises of the Race Course” in respect of his charge b g WILD TEMPER on 2-2-2010.

The Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., at their Meeting held on Thursday, 27th May 2010 considered the letter dated 31-3-2010 forwarded by the Senior Veterinary Officer, Mysore Race Club Ltd. , as to the total neglect of his charge INVICIBLE HUNTER by trainer Mr. S. Santosh Rao and also considered the Charge Sheet issued by the Chief Stipendiary Steward to trainer Mr. S. Santosh Rao to the effect that he had shown total neglect in the performance of his duties as a trainer with regard to his charge referred above and administered medicine to his charge on his own.
The Stewards examined trainer Mr. S. Santosh Rao. Considering the above said reports and the photos presented by the Veterinary Officer at the enquiry and the evidence tendered by trainer Mr. S. Santosh Rao during the enquiry and after due deliberations, the Stewards decided to suspend the trainer’s licence granted to trainer Mr. S. Santosh Rao from 10-6-2010 to 4-8-2010 and from 19-8-2010 to 31-8-2010 and should his trainer’s Licence be extended beyond 31-8-2010 the same shall remain suspended from 1-9-2010 to 24-10-2010 for (a) having shown neglect in the performance of his duties as a Licensed professional by not taking due care with respect to his horse INVICIBLE HUNTER (Rule No.114(b)(i); (b) negligence in taking full responsibility of the above said horse under his charge (Calendar Notification No.3 under the heading “Trainers Licence” of BTC Calendar Notification; and (c) he on his own admission had administered a drug to his charge by himself in violation of BTC Calendar Notification VI under the heading “Medication and Treatment of Horses in Training and Racing and Anti-Doping Control”.
