RACING INCIDENTS GOING: GOOD

1st Race: 74. The Sirsi Plate - Div. II (About) 1200 Metres
10 Runners Horses rated 30 and below.

As Jockey J H Christopher, the declared rider of MUCH MORE, was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. C Girinath to substitute Jockey Aadesh Kumar to ride his charge, MUCH MORE, in place of the declared rider.

Trainer Mr. Vishal Yadav was questioned regarding the running of his charge, RIGHT FANTASY (Mohammed Shoaib) and his explanations were noted.

2nd Race: 75. The Sirsi Plate - Div. I (About) 1200 Metres

Jockey G Vijay the rider of PERSIAN STING was reprimanded for not maintaining a straight course soon after jumping out of the Starting Gates.

Jockey P S Chouhan the rider of ADVENTUROUS WORLD reported that his mount was not inclined to gallop fluently. Trainer Mr. Warren Singh was informed to get his charge checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

PROCLAMATION (Shanth Kumar) sustained a cut injury on right hind canon.

3rd Race: 76. The Thiruvananthapuram Plate - Div. II (About) 1200
9 Runners Metres. Horses rated 20 to 50, 6 years old and over.

Jockey J Paswan the rider of SUNLAA was reprimanded for not maintaining a straight course soon after jumping out of the Starting Gates.

ALPHA CENTAURI (Aadesh Kumar) drifted 'out' very badly towards the edge of the grass track, approaching the 800 Metres, despite the best efforts of the rider to keep it on an even course. In view of its erratic behaviour, Trainer Mr. G T Surender was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a Race Day on the race track.

Trainer Mr. Md. Sajid Qureshi was questioned regarding the poor performance of his charge, MAURITIUS STAR (Ahsan Qureshi). He stated that (a) he had accepted his charge to run in a 1200 Metres' race in view of the poor quality of the other runners entered for the same and (b) he himself was disappointed with the performance of his charge in the above race. His explanations were noted.

SON OF FORTUNE (M J Gautam Raj Urs) sustained a cut injury on right hind bulb of heel.

4th Race: 77. The Salem Plate - Div. II (About) 1200 Metres.
10 Runners Horses rated 40 to 70.

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Warren Singh to substitute Jockey K P G Appu to ride his charge DARE YOU SAY in place of Jockey J H Christopher the declared rider.

VISONAHLD (Md. Thameem) bolted on its way to the Racecourse. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn.

CAREERIST (Vijay Kumar) burst its blood vessels after the race. Trainer Mr. Mahmood Khan was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

On examination after the race by the Club's Veterinary Officer, LOREMO (Ahsan Qureshi) was observed to have sharp molars and was trotting sound.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Trainer Mr. Md. Sajid Qureshi and Jockey Ahsan Qureshi to the Stewards pertaining to the running and riding of b.f. LOREMO. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Trainer Mr. Md. Sajid Qureshi, Jockey Ahsan Qureshi and also, the Club's Veterinary Officer, Dr. C V Niranjan. After deliberations, they decided to (a) suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey Ahsan Qureshi from 26.1.2008 to 20.2.2008 (both days inclusive) for unsatisfactory riding (Rule No.161(ii) on his mount, b.f. LOREMO (permitted to ride work) and (b) fine Trainer Mr. Md. Sajid Qureshi Rs.10,000/- for running his charge, b.f. LOREMO in an 'unfit' condition in the above race.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b.g. ARTISTIC WAY.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from dkb g MR MAJESTIC.

5th Race: 78. The Thiruvananthapuram Plate - Div. I (About) 1200
10 Runners Metres. Horses rated 20 to 50, 6 years old and over.

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Warren Singh to substitute Jockey K P G Appu to ride his charge, WORTH A DIAMOND, in place of Jockey J H Christopher, the declared rider.

6th Race: 79. The Salem Plate - Div. I (About) 1200 Metres.
12 Runners Horses rated 40 to 70.

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Warren Singh to substitute Jockey Imran Chisty to
ride his charge, ZOOMING, in place of Jockey J H Christopher, the declared rider.

Jockey P Mani the rider of THUNDER ON was reprimanded for dropping hands before
passing the winning post.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b.g. BAGHZAD.

7th Race: 80. The Trigger Cup (About) 1400 Metres.
11 Runners Horses rated 30 and below, 6 years old and over.

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. V Narayana Gowda to substitute Jockey K P G Appu to ride his charge, DRAMATIC HEIGHTS in place of Jockey J H Christopher, the declared rider.

SON OF BRENHINES (N M Khan) was observed to be lame on right fore fetlock. Hence, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under the Starter's Order. Trainer Mr. Feroz M Khan was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey P Krishna the rider of SILVER VICTRESS was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (second infringement).

8th Race: 81. The Coimbatore Plate (About) 1200 Metres.
12 Runners Horses rated 60 and above.

Jockey Aadesh Kumar the rider of ANSONIA was fined Rs.5,000/- for riding an injudicious race.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b.g. CUSTER.

9th Race: 82. The Himalayas Plate- Div. II (About) 1600 Metres.
10 Runners Horses rated 20 to 50.

Jockey Imran Chisty the rider of WAZZUP DUDE reported that he could not get a clear run, passing the 1400 Metres, due to the crowding of the field.

Jockey D Mahendran the rider of PRICELESS LEGACY reported that he could not get a clear run, approaching the 1400 Metres, due to crowding of the field. Trainer Mr. M Bobby was informed to ensure that his charge, PRICELESS LEGACY (D Mahendan), was capable of running consistently in future.

Jockey P S Chouhan the rider of RED EMBLEM reported that approaching the 500 Metres, he could not get a clear run, due to the crowding of the field.

10th Race: 83. The Himalayas Plate- Div. I (About) 1600 Metres.
9 Runners Horses rated 20 to 50.

SWISS CHOCOLATE (Ahsan Qureshi) pulled up lame on left fore shoulder after the race. Trainer Mr. Md. Sajid Qureshi was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Permission was granted to Trainer, Mr. R Mallikarjuna to deputize on behalf of Trainer, Mr. M B Mangalorkar, who was unable to attend the races.
