1st Race: 65. The Nelamangala Plate - Div. II (About) 1400 Metres.
12 Runners Horses rated 30 and below.

Jockey Melvyn Maseyk the rider of BIANKA was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting 'out' and taking out ARMIDALE (S Chandrashekar) on his outside between the 700 and 500 Metres.

BIANKA (Melvyn Maseyk) sustained a cut injury on right hind fetlock.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b.m. RED FLAME.

2nd Race: 66. The Nelamangala Plate - Div. I (About) 1400 Metres.
12 Runners Horses rated 30 and below.

VERTICAL LIMIT (V Sunil Kumar) sustained a cut injury on right hind fetlock.

3rd Race: 67. The Mauritius Pearl Plate (About) 1400 Metres. Maiden Indian
8 Runners Horses 3 years old only at the time of starting.

ALWAYS FOR YOU (J H Christopher) (Drawn 7) jumped awkwardly outwards from the gates and took out ROYAL MIST (Noorulla) (Drawn 8) at the start.

Jockey Afsar Khan the rider of HI HENNESSY reported that his mount was hanging 'out' after entering the final bend. Trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

ROYAL MIST (Noorulla) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. G T Surender was informed to ensure that his charge was capable of better performance in future.

4th Race: 68. The Solitaire Cup - Div. II (About) 1200 Metres. Horses
12 Runners rated 20 to 50.

Trainer Mr. Rakesh was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge, GYPSY'S ADVISE (Ranjeet Singh). Subsequently, All Black emergency colours were permitted to be used.

Jockey V R Jagdeesh the rider of ROTO ROOA was fined Rs.2,000/- for coming 'in' and causing interference to GYPSY'S ADVISE (Ranjeet Singh) on his inside, approaching the 1000 Metres.

Jockey J Paswan the rider of WELLINGTON was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (first infringement).

Trainer Mr. P C Tejaswi and Jockey P Ramesh were questioned regarding the running and riding of b.g. PLEASER and their explanations were noted.

TIME TO SPARKLE (Shanth Kumar) pulled up lame after the race on left fore fetlock. Trainer Mr. G T Surender was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b.m. SHOW N TELL.

5th Race: 69. The Panaji Plate - Div. II (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated
8 Runners 40 to 70, 6 years old and over, at the time of starting.

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. C D Monnappa to withdraw SETTLE THE SCORE (P S Chouhan) on veterinary ground, as it was lame on left hind due to severe concussion on hock and joint. He was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

BRAVE SOLDIER (Melvyn Maseyk) jumped out awkwardly outwards from the gates, whereby the rider got momentarily unbalanced on the saddle and also, reported that he lost his whip at the start.

Jockey Ranjeet Singh the rider of SULEMAN PASHA was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (second infringement).

6th Race: 70. The Solitaire Cup - Div. I (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated
11 Runners 20 to 50.

Trainer Mr. Rakesh was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge, SATIN SLIPPER (B L Paswan). Subsequently, All Black emergency colours were permitted to be used.

SMALL HONEY (S Chandrashekar) was observed to be lame before the start of the race on right hind. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under the Starter's Order. Trainer Mr. P C Tejaswi was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey D Mahendran the rider of DASHING AFFAIR was fined Rs.500/- for not maintaining a straight course in the last 200 Metres.

After examination of DOM PERIGNON (Mohammed Shoaib) after the race by the Club's Veterinary Officer, it was observed to have sharp molars. Trainer Mr. Md. Sajid Qureshi was informed to take necessary remedial measures before accepting with it again.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Afsar Khan the rider of PERTINENT to the Stewards for careless riding in that in the last 300 Metres, he allowed his mount to drift 'out' badly and caused very severe interference to DOM PERIGNON (Mohammed Shoaib) on his outside, approaching the 200 Metres. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockey Afsar Khan and Jockey Mohammed Shoaib. After deliberations, they decided to suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey Afsar Khan from 19.1.2008 to 26.1.2008 (both days inclusive) for careless riding (Rule No.161(ii)) on his mount, PERTINENT, in the above race (permitted to ride work).

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Melvyn Maseyk the rider of VIKING VICTOR to the Stewards for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (third infringement). The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockey Melvyn Maseyk. After deliberations, they decided to suspend Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey Melvyn Maseyk from 19.1.2008 to 23.1.2008 (both days inclusive) for the excessive use of the whip on his mount, VIKING VICTOR, during the race (third infringement).

7th Race: 71. The Karkala Plate (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated
12 Runners 60 and above.

Trainer Mr. Rakesh was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge, ENCHANTING GIRL (N Harsha). Subsequently, All Black emergency colours were permitted to be used.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, gr.g. CONNAUGHT SQUARE.

8th Race: 72. The Skyline Plate (About) 1400 Metres.
12 Runners Horses rated 40 to 70.

GOLDEN KISS (M. Madhu Babu) reared up as the gates opened, whereby the rider got unbalanced and the horse lost considerable ground at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Vishal Yadav was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b.g. BATTLE HONOUR.

9th Race: 73. The Panaji Plate - Div. I (About) 1600 Metres.
9 Runners Horses rated 40 to 70, 6 years old and over, at the time of starting.

As Jockey J H Christopher was certified medically unfit to ride after his ride in the 8th Race, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Bipin V Salvi to substitute Jockey Md. Shafiq to ride his charge, MAZEPPA, in place of Jockey J H Christopher, the declared rider.

ELUSIVE PRINCE (Vijay Kumar) burst its blood vessels after the race. Trainer Mr. C D Monnappa was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey Melvyn Maseyk the rider of PURE GOLD to the Stewards for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (fourth infringement). The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and examined Jockey Melvyn Maseyk. After deliberations, they decided to withdraw the Jockey's whip with immediate effect up to the conclusion of Mysore Winter Races 2007-08, i.e., 28th February, 2008, for the excessive use of the whip on his mount, PURE GOLD, during the above race (fourth infringement).

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b.g. PURE GOLD.

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. J Chetan to deputize on behalf of Trainer Mr. M B Mangalorkar, who was unable to attend the races.

ORDER OF THE STEWARDS OF THE MYSORE RACE CLUB LIMITED

The Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Limited, at their meeting held after the last race on Wednesday, 9th January, 2008, considered the enquiry report, dated 3rd January, 2008, submitted by the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the detection of drug, Boldenone (prohibited substance) in the urine sample taken from b.m. BLACK CAT during the Surprise/Random Testing on 12th November, 2007. The horse owned by Mr. B L Sanjeev Kumar and trained by Mr. Vikram Appachu.

They interviewed Trainer Mr. Vikram Appachu. After deliberations, they decided to suspend the Trainer's Licence granted to Mr. Vikram Appachu from 19th January, 2008, to 18th February, 2008 (both days inclusive), and fine him Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) for infringement of Medication Rules (in respect of his charge, b.m. BLACK CAT, ) as contained in BTC Calendar Notification reading as under:

"Whenever tested, no horse shall show the presence in its tissues, body fluids, or excreta, in any quantity of any substance which is a prohibited substance".

SECOND DAY, WEDNESDAY, 14TH NOVEMBER, 2007.

RACE NO.7: THE DHARWAD PLATE - DIV. I (ABOUT) 1400 METRES. HORSES RATED 40 TO 70, 5 YEARS OLD AND OVER:

(A) The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Limited, at their meeting held on Sunday, 6th January, 2008, considered the appeal, dated 29th November, 2007, filed by Jockey A R Mani against the decision of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Limited in suspending his Jockey's Licence for not permitting his mount b.g. ROYAL HAWK, to run on its merit in Race No.7 of the Mysore Winter Races 2007-08, i.e., The Dharwad Plate - Div. I (About) 1400 Metres, for horses rated 40 to 70, 5 years old and over. They interviewed Mr. S Marshall, Spokesman for Jockey A R Mani, Jockey A R Mani himself and the Trainer, Mr. M Bobby. After deliberations, they decided to (i) reject the appeal filed by Jockey A R Mani and (ii) forfeit the deposit of Rs.2,500/- paid by Jockey A R Mani towards the appeal fee. (B) Subsequently, the Stewards considered the minutes of the meeting of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Limited, dated 28.11.2007, suspending Jockey A R Mani's Jockey's Licence with effect from 9.12.2007 up to 28.2.2008 (both days inclusive) and further referring him to the Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Limited for further necessary action for not permitting his mount, b.g. ROYAL HAWK, to run on its merit in the above race. They interviewed Mr. S Marshall, Spokesman for Jockey A R Mani, Jockey A R Mani himself and the Trainer, Mr. M Bobby. After deliberations, the Stewards decided to (i) confirm the punishment awarded to Jockey A R Mani to the effect that his Jockey's Licence shall remain suspended up to and including 28th February, 2008 (not permitted to ride work), for not permitting his mount, b.g. ROYAL HAWK, to run on its merit in the above race (Rule No.159(a) and (b)) and (ii) severely caution Trainer Mr. M Bobby as to his responsibility in maintaining consistency while giving evidence before the Stewards.

FIFTH DAY, WEDNESDAY, 5TH DECEMBER, 2007.

RACE NO.26: THE DANDELI PLATE - DIV. I (ABOUT) 1200 METRES. HORSES RATED 30 AND BELOW:

The Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club Limited, at their meeting held on Sunday, 6th January, 2008, considered the appeal, dated 27th December, 2007, filed by Jockey Shakti Singh against the decision of the Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Limited in suspending his Jockey's Licence for not permitting his mount, b.f. MUCH MORE, to run on its merit in Race No.26 of the Mysore Winter Races 2007-08, i.e., The Dandeli Plate - Div. I (About) 1200 Metres, for horses rated 30 and below. They interviewed Mr. S Marshall, Spokesman for Jockey Shakti Singh, Jockey Shakti Singh himself and the Trainer, Mr. C Girinath. After deliberations, they decided to (a) partially allow the appeal filed by Jockey Shakti Singh (b) modify the punishment in that the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey Shakti Singh shall remain suspended from 16th January, 2008, up to 31st January, 2008 (both days inclusive), for unsatisfactory riding on his mount, b.f. MUCH MORE (Rule 161(ii)) (permitted to ride work), and (c) forfeit the deposit of Rs.2,500/- paid by Jockey Shakti Singh towards the appeal fee.
