The Sirsi Plate-Div.II- (About) 1200 Metres Horses rated 25 and below (12 Runners) KILLER FOOT (Himanshu) stumbled while jumping out of the starting gates. Jockey R. Ravi, the rider of EXCEPTIONAL, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 150 Metres. Jockey Vijay Kumar, the rider of VIBHUTHI, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to ROYAL MIRCHI (S. Chandrashekar) on his inside approaching the 900 Metres. The Sirsi Plate-Div.I- (About) 1200 Metres Horses rated 25 and below (12 Runners) Jockey G. Vijay, the rider of ANGEL OF FAITH, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to BOAZ (Gaurav Sapra) on his outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates. Jockey P. Mani, the rider of WORTH A DIAMOND, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not maintaining a straight course before passing the red marker post whereby he shifted in and caused interference to KARUMBA (Mohammed Shoaib) which in turn passed it on to NICE GUY (A. Velu) on the inside. SIZZLING STAR (M. Madhu Babu) sustained clipped cut injury on right hind inner bulb of heel. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g NICE GUY. 3rd Race : 85. Himalayas Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (9 Runners). As Jockey R. Ravi was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. Md. Sajid Qureshi to substitute Jockey P. Mani to ride BUDDY in place of the declared rider. Jockey Shanth Kumar, the rider of BRIANNSTA, reported that he lost his whip in the last 100 Metres. 4th Race : 86. The Salem Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (9 Runners). EXPENSIVE AFFAIR (Melvyn Maseyk) jumped awkwardly outside and inconvenienced RIDE AND SHINE (Amarpreet Singh) on its outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates. Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of MASTER PROSPECT, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and bumping RIDE AND SHINE (Amnarpreet Singh) on his outside soon after jumping out of the starting gates. Jockey S. Chandrashekar, the rider of VERTEX reported that his mount was drifted out under pressure in the final 200 Metres of the race. The Club's Veterinary Officer reported that on examination after the race it was observed that the right fore shoe of ANSONIA (Vijay Kumar) had apparently splayed during the race. MASTER PROSPECT (B. Sreekanth) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. Z. Darashah was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Trainer Mr. J. Sharavanan was questioned regarding the improved performance of his charge JEDI KNIGHT (A. Velu) in the above race. The trainer stated that this horse was running under his charge for the first time and he had asked his rider to ride from mid position and do his best in the straight and also added that he had observed that in its previous outing his charge had received interference, that may be the reason it ran so poorly. His explanations were noted. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g JEDI KNIGHT. 5th Race : 87. The Antequera Plate (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 6 years old and over (11 Runners). Trainer Mr. Bipin V Salvi was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the starting declaration in respect of his charge HERE COMES THE DON as regards shoeing. ROYAL VIEW (Shanth Kumar) jumped awkwardly outwards whereby the rider got unbalanced and lost both the stirrup iron passing the 1100 Metres and he could not offer any assistance to his mount throughout the race. Jockey S. John, the rider of THUNDER ON , reported that he could not get a clear run approaching the 1000 Metres due to the crowding of the field. Jockey Nasir Imam, the rider of CADRE NOIR, was reprimanded for shifting in and inconveniencing ECUDOR (B. Sreekanth) on his inside approaching the 250 Metres. Jockey B. Sreekanth, the rider of ECUADOR, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not making sufficient effort to improve his position till about the 400 Metres. Jockey D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of BRAVO BEDFORD, reported that his mount was trying to run out throughout the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that it had sharp molars. Trainer Mr. C.D. Monnappa was fined Rs.2,000/- for his negligence. HERE COMES THE DON (Md. Kareem) sustained deep cut injury on left hind outer cannon. 6th Race : 88. The Trigger Cup (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 25 and below, 6 years old and over (12 Runners). FIREY BUSINESS (Khurshad Alam) reared up as the gates opened and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour trainer Mr. S. Ravi Shanker was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track. Jockey Afsar Khan, the rider of MUSICAL SIGNATURE, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to BERKLEY SQUARE (Mohammed Shoaib) on his inside which was checked by its rider. ANALIKA (Melvyn Maseyk) which was traveling directly behind also had to be checked by its rider approaching the 250 Metres. Jockey Afsar Khan, the rider of MUSICAL SIGNATURE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for exulting before passing the winning post. Jockey G. Vijay, the rider of LATIN TWISTER, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 150 Metres. The Club's Veterinary Officer reported that on examination after the race it was observed that the left fore shoe of MUTUAL FUND (Gaurav Sapra) had apparently splayed during the race. FIREY BUSINESS (Khurshad Alam) sustained cut on right hind inside fetlock. LATIN TWISTER (G. Vijay) sustained bruises on right hind planter fetlock. Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch m MUSICAL SIGNATURE. 7th Race : 89. The Coimbatore Plate-(About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above (11 Runners). Permission was granted to trainer Mr. C.V.G.K. Kishore to withdraw CLASSIC ART (K. Chethana) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on right fore due to sprained fetlock joint. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. TIME SPEED (Himanshu) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr. C.D. Monnappa was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Jockey P. Mani, the rider of LAGUNA BLUE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for not exercising sufficient control over his mount thereby allowed his mount to hit the false rails approaching the 900 Metres. Jockey Melvyn Maseyk, the rider of RED DAWN, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to EONA (M. Madhu Babu) which in turn passed it on to SPECIAL FORCE (I.A. Khan) on his inside approaching the 900 Metres. EONA (M. Madhu Babu) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Rakesh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. LAGUNA BLUE (P. Horses rated 20 to 45, 6 years old and over (10 Runners) Trainer Mr. Z. Darashah was fined Rs.10,000/- by the Stewards for accepting his charge ANOOSHEEK (Khurshad Alam) to run in the above race without showing it in a Mock Race when he had been specifically advised to do so after its behaviour at the start in Race No.80 of the Mysore Winter Races 2009-2010. Subsequently it was permitted to be withdrawn. AMBIENS (Amarpreet Singh) was examined at the starting gates and was found to be trotting lame on left hind. Under the circumstances it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's Orders. Trainer Mr. Md. Vijay, the rider of PLACEHERWELL to the Stewards for Contravention of Rule No.159(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race on 12th January 2010 and interviewed Trainer Mr. T. Natraj (deputizing for Trainer Mr. M. Bobby) and Jockey G. Vijay. After deliberations, they decided to (a) note the explanations tendered by trainer Mr. M. Bobby; and (b) suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey G. Vijay from 22-1-2010 to 24-2-2010 (both days inclusive) for Contravention of Rule No.159(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in that he did not take all reasonable and permissible measures to win or obtain the best possible place in the race on his mount PLACEHERWELL in the above race (not permitted to ride work). 72. The Halebeedu Plate (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey D. Gnaneshwar, the rider of GERSHWIN to the Stewards for not permitting his mount to run on its merits (Rule No.159(a)&(b) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race on 12th January 2010 and interviewed Trainer Mr. Z. Darashah and Jockey D. Gnaneshwar. After deliberations, they decided to (a) note the explanations tendered by trainer Mr. Z. Darashah; and (b) suspend the Jockey's Licence granted to Jockey D. Gnaneshwar from 22-1-2010 to 24-2-2010 (both days inclusive), report him to the Stewards of BTC for further action, and not permit him to ride work during the period of suspension for not permitting his mount GERSHWIN to run on its merits (Rule No.159(a) & (b) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in the above race. The Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd. at their meeting held on Tuesday, 12th January 2010 considered the report submitted by the Stipendiary Stewards pertaining to the detection of the drug Boldenone - a prohibited substance in the urine sample taken from ch m LOOK ALIKE after the horse placed First in the above race on 8th October 2009. The horse owned by Mrs. R.J. Latha and trained by Mr. Bipin V Salvi. They interviewed trainer Mr. Bipin V Salvi. After deliberations, they decided to suspend the Trainer's Licence granted to trainer Mr. Bipin V Salvi from 22-1-2010 to 21-2-2010 (both days inclusive) and fine a sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) for infringement of Medication Rules (in respect of his charge ch m LOOK ALIKE in the above race) as contained in BTC Calendar Notification under the heading "Medication and treatment of horses in Training and Racing and Anti-Doping Control" reading as follows: "The trainer is always responsible for the protection and security of the horse in his care.
