1st Race: 104. The Sangam Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 25 and below, 6 years old and over (8 Runners).
As Jockey Vivek was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. P C Tejaswi to substitute Jockey Melvyn Maseyk to ride ANALIKA in place of the declared rider.
MAURITIUS STAR (Vijay Kumar) pulled up lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. Md. Sajid Qureshi was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
KHOKA (B.Sreekanth) sustained a cut injury on right fore outer bulb of heel.
2nd Race: 105. The Ajantha Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 25 and below (12 Runners)
As Jockey Vivek was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. P.C.Tejaswi to substitute Jockey Melvyn Maseyk to ride LADY OF LIGHT in place of the declared rider.
As Jockey I.A.Khan was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr.S.Ravi Shanker to substitute Jockey D.Mahendran to ride DO THE MUSIC in place of the declared rider.
Jockey A.R.Mani, the rider of DIRTY HARRY, reported that the nose band on his mount came off passing the 500 Metres. Trainer Mr. Feroz M Khan was fined Rs.1,000/- for his negligence.
Jockey S.Chandrashekar, the rider of ROMANTIC DESIGN, reported that his mount was hanging 'in' in the final 100 Metres. Trainer Mr. C.V.G.K. Kishore was informed to get it checked by his Veterinarian and take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.
Routine sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g AMAZON.
3rd Race: 106. The Gerusoppa Plate - Div.II (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 6 years old and over (8 Runners).
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. M.Pratap Kamath to withdraw STORNOWAY on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on left hind. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
Jockey B.Sreekanth, the rider of FOREVER GRANDE reported that he lost his whip, approaching the 600 Metres.
FOREVER GRANDE (B.Sreekanth) was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination by the Club's Veterinary Officer it was found to have sharp molars. Trainer Mr. J.Sharavanan was fined Rs.2,000/- for his negligence.
EVENT HORIZON (Melvyn Maseyk) swerved to the left soon after jump out and took no part in the race. In view of its behaviour Trainer Mr. P.C.Tejaswi was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a race day on the race track.
Surprise sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g REGAL IMAGE.
4th Race: 107. The Formal Invitation Plate - (About) 1600 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65, 6 years old and over (8 Runners).
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. C.V.G.K.Kishore to withdraw HAKUNA MATATA on veterinary grounds as the horse hurt itself while saddling. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
As Jockey A.R.Mani was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. C.V.G.K.Kishore to substitute Jockey Noorulla to ride HAKUNA MATATA in place of the declared rider.
Jockey D.Mahendran, the rider of LOOK ALIKE reported that the pacified blinkers got unfastened soon after the start. Trainer Mr. G.T. Surender was fined Rs.2,000/- for his negligence.
Jockey P.Mani, the rider of WORTH A GOLD was fined Rs.1,000/- for coming 'in' and causing interference to BRIANNSTA (G.Y.Rajesh Babu) approaching the 1000 Metres.
Jockey Melvyn Maseyk, the rider of ALL ROUND was reprimanded for shifting
course approaching the final bend.
5th Race: 108. The Gerusoppa Plate - Div.I (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45, 6 years old and over (8 Runners).
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. C.V.G.K.Kishore to withdraw TURBO BABE on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on right fore. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
As Jockey A.R.Mani was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. C.D.Monappa to substitute Jockey D.Mahendran to ride TIME IS PRECIOUS in place of the declared rider.
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey G.Y.Rajesh Babu the rider of AL QAMAR to the Stewards for violation of Calendar Notification of BTC under the heading "use of whip" in that he excessively used the whip on his mount during the race (third infringement). The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu. After deliberations, they decided to suspend Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu from riding in races from 4.2.2010 to 17.2.2010 (both days inclusive) for violation of Calendar Notification of BTC under the heading "use of whip" in that he excessively used the whip on his mount during the race (third infringement) (permitted to ride work).
An enquiry has been opened into the improved performance of PAT ON THE BACK, trained by Mr. Vishal Yadav and ridden by Jockey Amarpreet Singh, the winner of this race as compared to its previous run in Race No.95 of the Mysore Winter Races 2009-10, i.e. The Ooty Plate (About) 1400 Metres, for horses rated 20 to 45 on 20th January, 2010 when ridden by Jockey S.Rajesh it ran unplaced.
An enquiry has been opened into the inconsistent performance of I WANNA FLY, trained by Mr. Ranjeet Shinde and ridden by Jockey Afsar Khan, as compared to its previous run in Race No.95 of the Mysore Winter Races 2009-10, i.e. The The Ooty Plate (About) 1400 Metres, for horses rated 20 to 45 on 20th January, 2010 when ridden by Jockey S.Chandrashekar it ran third.
Routine sample was taken for analysis from the winner ch g PAT ON THE BACK.
6th Race: 109. The Octogonal Trophy - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 60 and above (12 Runners).
As Jockey Vivek was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to trainer Mr. S.Ravi Shanker to substitute Jockey Md. Shafiq to ride TINA'S TRIUMPH in place of the declared rider.
Routine sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g EASY RIDER.
7th Race: 110. The Vijayawada Plate - (About) 1200 Metres. Horses rated 20 to 45 (12 Runners).
As Jockey A.R.Mani was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was
granted to trainer Mr. J.Sharavanan to substitute Jockey D.Mahendran to ride
KALIYUG RAJA in place of the declared rider.
Jockey S.Mubarak, the rider of DANCING WATERS reported that he lost his left stirrup iron soon after jump out and could not regain it and had to ride without the aid of the equipment as a result of which he shifted to the outer grass track passing the 800 Metres.
As Jockey Afsar Khan was certified medically unfit to ride after his ride in the 6th Race, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde to substitute Jockey S.Mallikarjun to ride LUCKY LOOK in place of the declared rider.
Jockey M.D. Praveen was fined Rs.2,000/- for failing to fulfill his riding engagements for the day, hence permission was granted to trainer Mr. T. Natraj to substitute Jockey J. Paswan to ride DUTCH HERO in place of the declared rider.
DANCING WATERS (S.Mubarak) splayed right fore shoe during the race.
STERLING SPEED (S.John) sustained gum injury.
8th Race: 111. The Mysore Zoo Plate - (About) 1400 Metres. Horses rated 40 to 65 (11 Runners).
As Jockey Ahsan Qureshi was certified medically unfit to ride, Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Md.Sajid Qureshi to substitute Jockey Afsar Khan to ride LYRA in place of the declared rider. As Jockey Afsar Khan also cetified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Md. Sajid Qureshi to substitute Jockey Amarpreet Singh to ride LYRA.
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey G.Y.Rajesh Babu the rider of BULLISH LUCK to the Stewards for violation of Calendar Notification of BTC under the heading "use of whip" in that he excessively used the whip on his mount during the race (fourth infringement). The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockey G.Y. Rajesh Babu. After deliberations, the Stewards decided to deprive Jockey G.Y.Rajesh Babu, the use of the whip in races and morning track work with immediate effect up to and including 24.2.2010 for violation of Calendar Notification of BTC under the heading "use of whip" in that he excessively used the whip on his mount during the race (fourth infringement) (permitted to ride work).
BULLISH LUCK (G.Y.Rajesh Babu) sustained a cut injury on right hind inside hock.
VEDA PRIYA (M.Madhu Babu) sustained a cut injury on left fore outer cannon.
